Great stay and hospitality at a historical building

Andre welcomed us warmly with a bottle of champagne, cheese and bread to celebrate the beginning of our honeymoon. The house was originally build in 15th century, nicely renovated and furnished with antique pieces. It is very close (few minutes on foot) to a great supermarket and nice restaurants. There are so many beautiful flowers in the garden - and actually, on the entire island. We had a great time visiting many beautiful lakes and beaches. Maria was very kind, helpful and patient when we scraped our rental car (!!) against the gate sensor. She came with us to the rental car office in downtown to sign and submit the paper for the insurance. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. Thank you so much Maria for all the assistance you gave us. We can't recommend this place enough!

Large Place

Large apartment with a gated front yard and cute little back patio. The living/dining area of the apartment is quite large, there is an additional bedroom and a couple of bathrooms. It is in the first floor of an older building. Thick walls, mean that it is quiet, but also means few windows so it was stuffy when we arrived. A little further out from downtown, so we ended up going most places in the rental car. The Mexican restaurant next store was quite good, and cozy.

Echt Portugiesische

Top ausgestattete FeWo in echter portugiesischer Wohnung. Es gab alles was man so brauchen kann. War super schnell am Meer, in der Stadt oder im Supermarkt. Zentral gelegen auf der Insel. Wir werden wieder kommen :)

Demeure historique et spacieuse

Idéalement située à Punta Delgada, avec un parking et un jardin, c'est un endroit idéal pour visiter San Miguel. L'accès est simple pour se déplacer sur tous les coins de l'île. L'hôte est très à l'écoute et arrangeante pour le séjour.

Comfortable roomy guesthouse on ground floor

We stayed in this guesthouse for the first ten days of a month-long trip to Sao Miguel. It is very well furnished and has everything one could need for an no-issues vacation. There is a great grocery store and small pharmacy within walking distance--also a Burger King a McDonalds ( the only ones on the island I believe) are nearby. Plenty of room inside the house and lots of wonderful outdoor space to roam around. Perfect for two couples or a family with a couple of kids. Good value for the money.

Grosse Ferienwohnung. Zentral gelegen.

Grosse Ferienwohnung mit guter Ausstattung. Das zweite Schlafzimmer hat leider keine Fenster und ist dadurch sehr dunkel. Wir hätten uns eine Sitzgelegenheit vor der Eingangstür gewünscht. Der Aussenbereich im hinteren Hof war uns zu laut. Dort ist hinter einer Wand die Straße. Das Haus hat einen riesigen Garten der leider etwas Verwahrlost ist. Die ganze Anlage hat ein riesiges Potential das leider nicht genutzt wird . Trotzdem haben wir den Urlaub dort sehr genossen.

Secluded Central Location

My husband and I booked this place with another couple for our first visit to São Miguel. We chose it because of the photo and the price and found it to be just as quaint as described. It was a short drive from the airport and easy to find with a private gated entrance, which gave it a private and secure feeling. There is a large yard behind the gated entrance with a frog pond full of beautiful water lilies. We arrived a little earlier than expected, but with a quick message to the owner, we were able to check in before our scheduled time. We were met with a fresh baked loaf of bread and some cheese as a welcome gift from the owner. The spacious interior was perfect for our needs - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms separated by a large living room, dining area, and adequately equipped kitchen. This was nice because each couple felt like we had our own space when needed. There was also a nice private patio that could be accessed through one of the bedrooms where we would enjoy our morning coffee and make plans for the day. There was not air conditioning, but after the first night were requested an extra fan for one of the bedrooms and the owner brought us one immediately. The beds were a little hard for my comfort, as were the pillows, but after long day adventures, we still slept like a baby. The location was excellent! We were able to do day trips to every part of the island with ease of access right off the highway. There was a large grocery store close by with everything we needed to make dinners at home in the kitchen or pick up snacks for a picnic out. The owners were always quick with a response to questions and very accommodating.
