No amount of stars would be enough to give cruary the rating it deserves. I'm reluctant to tell you all about it because it is such a special place, everyone who wants to see Scotland should stay here but then it will be all booked up and we wouldn't be able to get in! You only have to read the visitors book to see how many people return year after year! We will do the same. We have been staying around the west coast for years but never have we had such a perfect place to relax and truly get away from it all. Cruary itself has everything and more. We took a toddler and an 86 year old and it had everything we needed to keep them safe and happy. The wildlife was amazing, stags were just starting the rutting season and you could hear them from inside, truly spectacular. Badgers and birds everyday but no pine marten which I did hope to see but there will be other times I'm sure. Beaches were great, walks were great, just looking out of the windows at the changing landscapes was amazing. Stars brilliant. Didn't want to leave. So if you're thinking of staying stop thinking and just book and go!

We have stayed at Cruary quite a few times over the years, each time bringing new friends to enjoy the cottage and the area. They never fail to be impressed by the house and its amenities- it is so comfortable and enjoyable to stay in. Whatever the weather, the views are spectacular and can be enjoyed from virtually every room, including the upstairs “ loo with the best view in the world”. This year the owners had made every effort to ensure guests felt safe and protected, and we really appreciated the extra work this must have entailed. We hope to return many times in the future. Cruary is by far the best cottage we have ever stayed in.

Cruary is by far the best cottage we have ever stayed in. The owners have put so much into creating a lovely home from home and go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Applecross is a stunning location and this cottage must surely be the jewel in its accommodation crown!

Bit of a dilemma. This cottage is so good you don't want other people to go in case its full when we want to go again. Everything was perfect and "homely" No criticism at all. We had a fantastic week apart from mixed weather.

This was our 3rd visit to Scotland and certainly the best. An amazing location with spectacular views was just perfect for a relaxing holiday. It is also perfectly located for many walking trails. The property was very clean, spacious and well equipped. I would highly recommend it and hope to return soon.

An excellent, peaceful cottage. Very clean and well equipped. Perfect place to get away from it all. Applecross Inn, Walled Garden and the Junction all provided excellent local food however opening times and availability were already moving toward winter operations (even though it was early september) at The Junction Cafe. Lots of interesting wildlife visits to the garden including Pine Martens, Weasels, Badger and the usual Deer. Excellent beach for dogs within easy stick throwing distance.

I have been to cruary on 5 - 6 occasions now and always enjoyed every second ,cruary is a beautiful cottage surrounded by stunning scenery in every direction. A must for wild life lovers. We had the pine Martin, badger and the deers in the garden this year eating peanut butter sandwiches off the window sill . Amazing place.

Had a fantastic time at Cruary. The cottage is very well equipped, comfortable and clean. The views from all rooms are stunning. It is a wildlife watchers paradise. There are several local walks suitable for everyone. The Applecross Inn serves excellent food and makes you so welcome. We went in February and The Walled Garden was not in full swing so fresh food shopping was limited but we did manage to get a Tesco order delivered to the cottage. Would highly recommend.

Perfect cottage to get away from it all, yet in walking distance of the Applecross Inn and Walled Garden Restaurant. Very high standard of accommodation, with large windows from which to enjoy the panoramic view of Applecross Bay. Also enjoy watching badgers and pine martins feeding just outside. In February the cottage was wonderfully warm and cosy.
