This is a great place for a family holiday, whatever the ages of the family members. The house itself is very comfortable and clean, with plenty of cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment. The bedrooms and bathrooms are similarly clean and well equipped. The hot tub is well maintained, and the provision of dressing gowns for the bathers to use is very welcome. The garden is secure, so very suitable for pets and small children. We had a Guide Dog puppy in training with us, and she loved the freedom and the space outside. We were lucky to have beautiful weather, but the situation within easy reach of Aviemore and other facilities would have given us alternative entertainments if that had not been the case.
We did not manage to assemble the stair gate, but used chairs to ensure that toddlers and the dog did not have access to the stairs and upper floor. Having spoken to the Factor before our visit, I am sure that she would have responded positively if we had wished her to sort this. However, it was just as easy to use the chairs, so we chose not to. If the weather had been wet, it could have been a challenge to dry the clothes/towels etc. A second airer, given the number of people able to stay in the house, would have been helpful in that case.
Overall, however, neither of these minor inconveniences had any impact on a very enjoyable stay. Many thanks.
