The apartment is not modern in any way. It is in bad repair with old appliances. Had air conditioning but we couldn’t find a remote to turn it on. Would not recommend.

Great stay

We visited Madrid earlier this month and our stay at Jose's property was everything we hoped for. They were available during the booking process for questions, replying quickly. The check-in went smoothly. The apartment was just as the pictures and description indicate. We loved the design of the rooms and the neighborhood is incredible. Highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Madrid.

The apartment is eclectic and zany in a great area of town. Close to walking to retiro, around Salamanca, and very close to red line. There is AC in the living room but it did not quite reach all the way to the bedrooms, so it was a quite toasty night for an American used to AC. There is not a dryer despite the listing saying there is one, but there are clotheslines to dry your clothes which is common in Spain. The fridge also did not work. I would recommend for the host to put a few electric fans in the bedrooms to ensure cool air circulation.

The apartment is in a good area for accessing transit, restaurants, and sites. The neighborhood is good. Metro stations are close and it takes just a few minutes to get to tourist sites like the Sol plaza and the Royal Palace but is far enough away to get away from to tourist crowds. Using transit to and from the airport is easy and cheap as well. The condition of the apartment is a little rough but not bad. Cleanliness could be a little better. Some of the electrical sockets and switches should be changed out or tightened up. It's OK for the price if you don't need the Ritz.

Nice district, with many shops and pubIic transports, not far waIking to the Buen Retiro Pak (15mn) and to The Prado Museo (30mn). Nice Iiving/dining room weII equiped. Quiet when the windows are cIosed. Two smaII bedrooms with good mattresses with Iot of storage space. Two IittIte inconvenients: sometimes Iight bad smeIIs from the pipes and the courtyard. Sometimes noisy neighbourhood. FinaIIy, a good ratio quaIity/price.

Location was excellent and close to everything, especially Movistar arena which we were going to. The apartment itself had a charm to it and was very unique. Great place to stay for the price!

Ubicación perfecta, todo muy limpio.

Hemos ido 3 amigas a pasar un finde a Madrid y la ubicación es PERFECTA literalmente a 5 minutos andando del Retiro, con un montón de sitios para comer (de variedades de precio), la boca de metro a 2 minutos andando.Todo estaba muy limpio y la comunicación con el propietario ha sido rápida y sencilla.

La luz saltaba por la noche, y mi madre duerme con una máquina para respirar, fue horrible.Solo pusieron 2 toallas secas y dos mojadas, pero reclamé y me trajeron dos toallas de playa enseguida,, en ese sentido, fueron muy amables. Éramos tres personas.El olor del apartamento es muy molesto a humedad, pero descubrimos q en un armario guardan las toallas y sábanas mojadas, de ahí la olor.Las camas son de 80 y otra de 135. Lo mejor es el precio, pero hay veces q no vale la pena pagar menos. Yo me he arrepentido.
