This charming Charlottesville cottage with a queen bed and relaxing outdoor deck is perfect for a couple wanting to experience the peaceful foothills of our area. Nearby the area's top vineyards and a short drive to UVA and Shenandoah National Park, the location is an ideal retreat that feels like you're away from it all. Note that the owner lives on site and will greet you but is also happy to respect your privacy.

The cottage is located just 8 miles west of Charlottesville and in eyesight of the mountains. It includes modern amenities such as a cable TV, WiFi, and A/C. It also is newly equipped with beautiful white furnishings for the utmost comfort and enjoyment. Within 10 miles of UVA, King Family Vineyards, Ragged Mountain, Birdwood Golf Course, and Pippin Hill Vineyards.

Great little cottage near Charlottesville

This was a very nice, quiet place to stay near Charlottesville. We had all the amenities we needed and a couple of extras that were really nice touches - small glasses of orange juice and some oatmeal for breakfast!

Beautiful Place

In the area to see family in Crozet and the cottage was the perfect place for us. The location is so peaceful and quiet. The host were excellent in communication and made us feel truly welcomed. We will stay again when we are back in the area.

A Relaxing Getaway

The Plainfield Cottage is a perfect getaway. We came in for a graduation and were quite busy. However, each time I stepped into the cottage, it felt peaceful, bright and clean. A great retreat to unwind and relax at. Cathy was very attentive on any needs we needed, as there were few because it was well stocked.

Cozy Cottage

Comfortable, clean, cozy cottage perfect for a getaway or parents visiting UVA student. As visiting parents ourselves, we enjoyed the beautiful countryside that is not too far away from campus. It was a great spot to relax and recharge.

Amazing Space Near Charlottesville

The space is absolutely as advertised - it is clean, comfortable, utterly charming and has everything you could possibly need, and then some. Cathy and Kirk are wonderful hosts. I look forward to coming back and staying again sometime!

Lovely Cottage

My husband and I are relocating to Charlottesville. We stayed for a week while checking out houses and becoming more familiar with the area. The cottage is conveniently located between C'ville and Crozet, tastefully decorated and comfortable, with a kitchenette stocked with coffee, tea, milk, etc. Cathy greeted me on arrival and checked in occasionally to make sure all was well during our stay. Wonderful lodging, wonderful host.

Sweet cottage outside of Charlottesville

Comfy little spot just on the outskirts of Charlotte near wineries. Wonderful location and sweet cottagey feel. Highly recommend this for a little get away. There is no full kitchen but that worked well for us as it had everything else we needed including snacks, tea and coffee. Host was very friendly and helpful with local food ideas.

Lovely Cottage

My husband and I stayed for the weekend. The cottage was comfortable and very cute. We loved the location and surroundings. We were close to wineries and downtown Charlottesville but far enough away to enjoy a country setting. Our hosts" The Train Family " were very nice and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Cozy and Close to Everything

Beautiful property that is close to everything Crozet and Charlottesville have to offer. Great hosts. When planning note that the cottage does not have a kitchen but a microwave and small appliances are there.

A little tucked away Gem!

Cathy & Kirk's place was a gem to stay in for our last minute, long weekend get away! Everything we needed to get our day started, and return at night to rest our heads. Located 15-30 minutes from everywhere we wanted to visit, away from all the hubbub of city or crowds, peace & quiet... Perfection! We enjoyed our time here, easily recommend for a 1-2 person stay.

Quaint Cottage in Charlottesville

The Train family were great hosts. Cathy met us upon arrival and showed us the cottage. We also met Kirk, and thier daughter who provided us with restaurant suggestions. The cottage was cozy and had refreshments ready for us. We were close to Charlottesville and able to get to downtown and several wineries and distilleries easily. Overall it was a great stay and we appreciated the hospitality.
