Beautiful Two Bedroom on the Gulf ALL UPDATED WITH A GREAT VIEW FROM A DISTANCE

Newly Painted 2 bedroom and 2 bath Furnished condo, just beautiful. On the 5th floor with a king bed and 2 double beds to sleep 6. The view from the balcony is just amazing and the unit is just breathtaking . You will Love your stay in this condo. Very nicely furnished and has a great view of the gulf from 50 yds out. You are just steps away from the Famous Sugar White Sand Beaches and Emerald Green Waters of the Gulf Coast. This is truly a super vacation paradise spot. The Emerald Isle complex was fully renovated in 2016, at a cost of over four million dollars. Enjoy local restaurants and the shopping convenience of Ft. Walton Beach but all the tourist amenities of close-by Destin (six miles). No smoking in the unit or on the balconies. No pets allowed (the owner has severe allergies). Renters must be over 25 years old.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we got here the room hadn’t been cleaned yet! The elevator didn’t work for a day ! The condo was nice on the inside but outside not so much! Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Long review

I would stay at Emerald Isle again but would not rent from this rental group. We didn’t have access to our balcony all week due to construction, I was told that we could go out on balcony but patio furniture couldn’t be out there, when we get there it’s boarded up. Our reserved parking spot was covered by construction material, since we got there after hours on a Saturday we were unsure where to park. There is no after hours contact #. Out of all the condos my family has stayed at all the owners will reach out and make sure everything is ok any problems etc, I heard nothing from this rental group the entire time. Pros: short walk to beach, quiet area, nice pool, clean.Cons: very poor communication with the renters, if after hours or on weekend when they are closed you will not get ahold of anyone. Also, response from renter is slow or not answered at all. Bare minimum is supplied in the condo, so bring some extra toilet paper, paper towels etc. laundry isn’t in the condo but down the hall 1.75 to use. Shower pressure is AWFUL.

The condo was clean and well taken care of. But our stay was not enjoyable. They didn’t warn us that construction was going on. It woke up early each morning with loud banging and drilling. The rental people wanted us to move the porch furniture off the patio for the maintenance being done. They said that the owners would be fined for the furniture being on the patio even though it was out on the patio on the day we arrived. I feel as if it was an issue the rental company should be responsible for moving the furniture and we had a heated call between the rental place where they hung up on my husband after he refused to move the furniture into our little space in the living room. Someone finally showed up and moved it themselves.

The patio was perfect for my morning coffee, watching the waves and the wildlife. I loved that we had our own parking spot, except it would of been nice to know that ahead of time and where it was located, had a really hard time finding it in the dark when we first arrived. The lighting in the parking lot was AWFUL!! The pool was very nice and clean. The beach was like a 2 minute walk from our condo. We loved everything about our stay EXCEPT the kitchen pots and pans; EVERYTHING stuck to them! You really need to invest in some new pots and pans. Also the facelift that was happening on the building was annoying, the pounding and the noise every morning waking me up. That kind of stuff couldn’t be done on the “off season”?

The views is just as described the condo was set up nice and comfortable but doesn't provide ANYTHING no dish soap or sponge to wash dishes two trash bags for a week stay two rolls of toilet paper not even salt and pepper the walk to the beach ways longer than expected about 5 minutes with 12 steps the parking spot is right next to the elevator but a very tight spot to get a vehicle in and out of the worst part is the construction its so loud you can hear it from the beach it started at 8am and didn't stop till 5pm there is washer and dryer but you have to pay 1.75 each the beach was green with algae and was not nice the hole time so we did go to other beaches.

Location was great. Construction all week long was not. No notifications regarding construction taking place. Emailed to inquire about beach equipment with no response. Laundry is in the hallway-not the condo, and you need to pay to use both the washer and dryer.

Great fun in the sun

We looked forward to an on-beach place and this was great. It had a wonderful view of the gulf and a close, private entrance to the white sand of the beach. The location was nice because it was on a dead end road with not much traffic, but still close to many places we visited. We also liked being near a military base because we saw a lot of cool jets flying over.The space was perfect for us and two adult sons. We had the king & they had the two fulls with separate bathrooms. The living spaces and kitchen were spacious.Except for a few minor unavoidable hiccups, we had a lovely stay. We all needed this time away

Family vacation friendly

We had a great trip overall! Never needed the property manager for anything (grateful for that). Pictures were as described. Enough towels were provided, you will have to buy toilet paper and toiletries as they are not provided (one toilet paper roll per restroom for a week) no big deal just a heads up! There isn’t dish soap or a sponge/paper towels in the kitchen. There is on site laundry, small charge for each load! Property is well kept! Pool was nice and access to everything was nice as well.

Close to food and other attractions. Condo was so clean and neat. Only complaint would be the master bedroom does not get near as cool as the rest of the condo. Some issues with our experience.

The condo was clean, spacious and had a great view of the ocean. However when we walked in it clearly smelled like cigarette smoke. Also after we checked out the realtors home inspector tried to put us on the hook for a broken kitchen sink to get us to pay for something that was clearly not broken when we left. They said it was hanging off the counter which would be impossible since it is an under mount sink. Wouldn’t recommend going through this group (Alicia J Hollis Realtor Group) because I assume this is their standard practice and not good business.

Good place for the money

When we arrived the dishwasher was out of order but was promptly fixed the next morning. Also when we arrived the condo smelled stongly of cigarette smoke. Other than that it was a great location & nice condo. The beds were comfortable & the condo was nicely furnished.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was an ok stay. Location was great and access to the beach was nice. The condo had a very stale bad smell we had trouble getting out but it dissipated after a couple of days. The living room furniture and rug were very old and unpleasant to sit on. There were no blankets or comforters on any beds and we couldn’t get hold of anybody to request help. Nobody gets back to you. The bedroom tvs were very small, one almost a laptop size. The muster bedroom was my favorite. The best mattress I have ever slept on! The kitchen had everything you needed. Also parking spot we were designated was very hard to park on and hard to get out.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: No issues with the room. Not top of the line, but perfect for middle of the line people like us. I won’t rent through the realtor company again, though. The night before we were scheduled to check in wasn’t rented, I called to see if they would give us a discount on that one night because we would get there at midnight and just be sleeping there. They wouldn’t budge. Going through an owner, if there’s one night not booked, they’ll give you a discount because they’d rather get SOME money instead of none. Not the realtor company. Other than that, no issues.
