The stay for amazing and the host were so kind and easy to communicate with. Everything was so close by, wonderful sights and really good coffee. The house was very spacious and love the amount of space for car parking!

Great Stay

We had a wonderful stay at Barefoot Beach House! The location is perfect—just a short walk to a beautiful beach with amazing bay and hill views. The house is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it a great spot for relaxation.However, we didn’t find the outdoor shower or tennis court mentioned in the listing. It didn’t affect our stay, but it's worth noting. Overall, a fantastic place to unwind, and we'd love to return!

Great weekend away

Great weekend away with friends. Close to the shops/bars/cafes Super clean and the client is fast at replying to questions. Would highly recommend and we will eventually return for another holiday staying here. Thank you again for the great hospitality.

We stayed with a group of friends and had a great time at this property. Perfect house for groups with heaps of parking in a great location. The host was really accommodating and easy to contact.

Wonderful spot for weekend away with family or group of friends

We stayed here for a ladies weekend away for a few celebrations. The location was easy and close to everything we wanted to see. Really good stay for large groups with everything you need. Easy check in and check out with easy to follow instructions and a quick exit. I would recommend this for big groups and newbys to the stayz process as the owners are excellent to communicate with and nothing is every a silly questions.

Family Gathering

We had 13 people stay over 4 days. We were vsiting the area for a wedding. There was plenty of room. Easy walk to the beach,supermarket, and eating places. Definitely would return. Nice and central for exploring the Mornington Peninsular. Property manager very helpful.

The accommodation was very good. Great location and neat and clean.

We had a great time at dromana. The house was as it was advertised. It is centrally located, clean and spacious. Ample parking off street and close to a local park which was great for the kids. Nice kitchen and large tables. Deck is great for BBQ. There was no condiments, salt, sugar, oil and teabags etc provided so need to keep in mind. Would have been nice if towels were available as well, but was advised before that is not included. Overall, accommodation was nice and host explained everything in detail on arrival.

We stayed at this house over new years in 2018/19. The location is amazing - only 5-10min walk to the beach in Dromana. We stayed here with 5 couples (6 children). I would recommend the owner invests in more basics for the house e.g., bath towels, dishwasher tablets, etc. to make the stay easier. Otherwise, this place was great for our trip.

Location, location, location

3&1/2 stars. Brilliant location, 2 minute walk to the beach. Large modern house with so many bathrooms. Clean, orderly, the manager is very pleasant. We had a large group and it was a perfect fit house, we had a lovely weekend away. The 'small adjacent single rooms' off two bedrooms are actually walk in robes -so be mindful of that. This would be a 5 star house if it had 5 star furnishings/linen. The double bed/sofa upstairs was in poor condition, very uncomfortable for sleeping - I did mention this to the manager and she noted that it would be replaced. I would suggest bringing your own cot for your baby, the cot supplied was very old, it is not a standard size, quite small and the mattress was virtually springs and a bit of fabric covering them.

A spacious, well located house.

The location of the Barefoot Beach house is very good - a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 15 minute walk to the shops.The house was very clean and spacious, accommodating our party of 13 women. We enjoyed sitting looking at the view from the balcony and having drinks and nibbles in the alfresco area in the evening. The manager met us at the property and was friendly and very helpful, even providing our first evenings meal! Thank you Suguna.. The only small improvement we could suggest is to improve the quality of the linen and make the provision of good quality towels part of the accommodation package.

Nice and clean house for big group..

We enjoyed very much the Easter holiday stay and owners are so nice, even prepare some gift for kids. The house is clean and the appliances are so full equipped. The owner is so nice to wait for us as we are quite late arriving.

Fantastic Experience

We loved our time at the Barefoot Beach House, so close to everything we wanted i.e beach and shopping centre. The place itself provide my extended family with a pleasent experience and we've already spoken about booking another holiday at this place later this year.

Perfect getaway

Had a friends wedding in Red Hill, so was great to find a big enough house to fit a group of people mostly traveling from New Zealand. Loads of room and space for everyone to get ready and not be in each others way. Also so close to the beach which was perfect and what a beach it is such clear water and beautiful sand. Easy to deal management through whole process. Thanks for the house and look forward to coming back one day.

Beware - getting bond back was a nightmare

We booked our stay as a friend was getting married nearby. We had a lovely weekend, treated the house with respect, left it in a clean condition (cleaner than when we got there in fact) and obviously expected to get our bond back without issue. However, after not hearing anything from the property manager for days after our stay, I rang to ask when the $1000 would be refunded to me. She initially said the house was dirty and money would be deducted for that. When I rejected her accusation and explained that we had done everything required of us, she accused us of damaging a fold out couch and said we would need to pay for that out of the bond. That was categorically untrue and I asked to see photos. A tiny piece of the lining fabric had come away at the seams - but it was very clear this was from general wear and tear that it had happened over a long period of time (all the furniture is aged and not in great condition). I am a person that takes responsibility for things, and if myself or any of our group damaged anything on someone else's property, we would be the first to put our hands up. But that just did not happen which is why I was determined to stand my ground. This back and forth went on and on, with the property manager refusing to refund our bond, and refusing to even message or call me back on multiple occasions. Eventually, when I told the property manager I would take my complaint to authorities if the bond matter wasn't settled that day, someone else took over and texted me saying the bond would be refunded immediately. I am very grateful to whoever that was. However, I've just heard that a friend of a friend stayed here recently and they are struggling to get their bond back too. This is clearly an ongoing issue and I just want to make sure other people that are contemplating staying here are aware of the risks. It is one of the most bizarre and stressful encounters I've ever had. I would never stay here again and would strongly recommend that you try and find another house in this wonderful area if it all possible.
