Best place ever!

Lovely home, great pool, but the shining star is the management company. I honestly didn’t have any issues but they were so kind and welcoming. Our vacation was amazing and started off on the right foot thanks to them!

Glorious holiday week

We stayed the week of Christmas and had an incredible stay. The house is impeccable, location is perfect and weather was sublime! We enjoyed everything so much we hope to come stay here again!

House was just as described,plenty big for 6 adults, nicely decorated Key West Vibe, spotlessly clean and ready before our check in time. Perfect location, walk or bike to all attractions,restaurants. Quiet neighborhood.Bikes were delivered ready upon arrival. Can't say enough good things about our stay. Bring your family here , you'll love it . Already looking for next year.

A perfect getaway place!

Great location to everything

Overall great stay at the Chavez house. My college age kids loved it too. House: Clean and has everything you need. Comes with a few supplies for washer/dishwasher and paper products. Water stayed hot even with my teenager+ kids. Layout is really nice. Pool: It's a plunge pool. Nicely heated so comfortable in January. Small, but everyone loved it. The pool area is very well protected. It you want to tan you may not get a ton of sun on the deck, but we like to enjoy the pool without baking. The deck area has loungers and a great outside family table which was perfect for morning coffee and some tasty bakery goods from the healthy shop *and another not so healthy right down the street. Location: Ideal. We could walk to Duval, Mallory Park, shopping and restaurants. 5 - 8 blocks to the action, but many great restaurants are closer...like on the corner! Cars & Carts: We rented a golf cart and loved being able to transport the beach chairs to Fort Zachary Beach. Yes, parking is not great right in front of the house, as it is marked for residential, but just a short block East on Margaret there was always a spot, so truly not a problem for us. Kinda wish we had rented bikes because I think riding around the quaint streets we would have found even more Key West nooks and crannies. Food: Light groceries are just down the street. We did a pie crawl (our own invention) to all the key lime spots.... Overall: Great house. Great stay. Clean, Fresh and Friendly.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wow, what a great rental in paradise. All previous reviews are spot on, great rental with no surprises. All the standard stuff you expect to be great is. Plus some personal peeves I have with older properties were non-existent. For example, all sink drains...drained. The propane grill had propane and was cared for and set up for proper use. The ignitor worked. The pool was indeed properly heated. Our air temp during the day was low to mid 70's...the pool was 94 --- so, so comfy. Plenty of pool towels, Ice machine worked great. On street parting was no problem, two great restaurants (Mangia Mangia and Bob's on Margaret) right next door. And so on...In short super property and super responsive guest focused rental management company.

Great Italian on the corner and plenty of other delicious restaurants/cafes within a couple of blocks. A/C works great and each room has its own unit - beds were comfortable; bed linens were not the best. And in classic Key West style, there is a rooster who walks the neighborhood each morning doing his patrol! We did bring our own pool Floats and outdoor speaker and did not see that the home had either.

However, after stumbling across the Historic Key West Vacation Rentals website, we changed our plans--and we're so glad we did! Chavez House was our own private oasis. The house is beautifully renovated with so much charm and character and cozy comfort. With two teenagers, we appreciated having multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, and the location is perfect for quick bike rides to just about everywhere. We absolutely loved the plunge pool and lush tropical landscaping of the private backyard. The rental company was amazing to work with and pretty much anticipated our needs before we did. So professional and accommodating. Truly, a dream getaway!

Quiet residential neighborhood but convenient to attractions

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a relaxing time, but there were many little annoyances in this house. For example, bathroom doors were warped and did not completely close, shower handle was loose in one bathroom and had to have maintenance to come and fix it. There were no mirrors in upstairs bedrooms and only small one in bathroom, kitchen faucet was improperly installed so it was tricky to get cold water. Another thing was that there is a louver window in upstairs bedroom which overlooked the stairs so that all sounds coming from that room were broadcast throughout the house.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The check-in process was extremely easy, efficient and friendly. The home was in great shape upon arrival, clean, tidy and great location. We would definitely stay here again, it was far enough off Duval to have peace and quiet, yet close enough to the action. Landscaping was excellent, outside of residence well kept. Property description was very accurate, the amenities within the home were excellent, light switches could use better labeling, but overall well maintained. Property Management was in constant contact to see if we needed anything, for the home or concierge services - which was nice!
