Step onto your private front porch with chairs and a swing to relish your morning cup of coffee in the sweet island breeze. Slip inside to a bright and cheery space as you enter a cozy seating area perfect for diving into a good book. The living area just ahead is surrounded by a flat screen TV for movie and game nights together. Craft up your meals together in the fully equipped checkerboard kitchen and enjoy quality time around the dining table for 6. This unique retreat has just been refreshed with stunning new furnishings to complete your stay in Paradise!

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS...
Fall into a sweet slumber in your queen guest room with an en suite full bathroom with a shower tub combination. A guest room with two twins that can convert to a king bed upon request offers an en suite full bathroom with a shower. Step outside to the poolside cottage equipped with a king size bed, flat screen TV, en suite bathroom with a shower, desk, microwave and coffee maker for your enjoyment. A sofa sleeper is located in the living room for additional guests with convenience to a powder room just off the kitchen.

OUTDOOR LIVING...
Let your worries melt away as you fully embrace your island surroundings in the peaceful outdoor space with lush views all around a private, heated pool. Rinse off the day in the outdoor shower, then grill poolside with a cocktail in hand as you make plans for your evening out on the town.

One parking space is available making coming and going a breeze!

Dogs are permitted and a pet fee is required.

Higgs Beach is 0.8 miles.
Smathers Beach is 2.4 miles.
Fort Zachary Taylor Beach is 1.6 miles. (Entry fee required as it's a state park with a self tour of the fort and biking/walking trails)
Chairs and umbrellas can be rented at all beaches.

Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of stay will receive a 100% refund. Bookings canceled at least 14 days before the start of stay will receive a 50% refund.

Amazing time in Key West!

Great location. The house was clean and comfortable. The pool was warm and clean. Whitney the property manager was excellent and accommodating. The AC worked well. We were all very happy. It really made us have a great trip.

The first issue was that I was never told that there was major construction going on just outside the windows next door that started at 7 am every morning and lasted until 4 pm. So no sleeping in on our vacation the entire week. The pool was dirty and infested with iguanas so we never got to use it. The house is extremely outdated and severely overpriced. The construction was overwhelming loud and just absolutely ruined our vacation. Again, that was never once mentioned. No personal touch, just very much a move them in and then move them out vibe. Very disappointed overall and we won’t be staying there again.

My family and I really enjoyed staying at "Tropical Retreat". The set up of the house was perfect for my family of 5. The pool was incredibly warm so everyone could enjoy comfortably swimming. The pool area is very private. The location cannot be beat -- close to great shopping, restaurants, bars/live music but not so close that you are bothered by rowdy people or noise. Also close to the Southernmost point and beach. The property was as expected and clean. The concierge service pre-travel would be very helpful for those new to the island. They were able to provide some new, fun ideas for my family. Thanks for a great stay, we hope to be back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was clean, great location, and overall a great rental. The biggest complaint was every door knob in the house was loose. How loose, it fell off on the inside on the bathroom, locking someone in. The pool housebknob fell off several times. It could definitely use some general maintenance but great stay overall, and the property manager was great.

My husband and I wanted a return trip to the keys with our adult childten for our 30th anniversary. This was the perfect place! Comfortable, plenty of room for all of us, close to shopping, activities, food and drinks (The Run Bar makes the best pina colada) and ending the day with a dip in the pool was definitely a hit with our kids. Could not have asked for a better experience!

Very nice location and layout of the property. You can use a new Grill, as the current one is rusted out and 2 of the burners do not work.The pool is great and the Bungalow is perfect.

The house is in a perfect location, walking distance to everything. House itself is clean and cozy. Property manager Whitney was very responsive and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay and had a lot of fun!

Nice but Noisy

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Construction on both sides of the property made it very noisy all week. Construction equipment left no street parking. Good location close to Duval St was convenient. The pool and backyard was the best thing about it. However, it was quite loud so not as enjoyable as it could have been. No steps into pool made it unusable for my husband as he couldn’t use the ladder. The ad should indicate that is the only entrance into the pool. The house has several structural issues. It needs maintenance. I would not recommend this rental. I strongly feel the nightly fee is too high for this property until repairs are made.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very pleased with the location of our rental. It was walking distance to many of the shops/restaurants that we wanted to visit. We enjoyed having a golf cart to get us to some of the farther spots. We were disappointed in the lack of communication about the continuous construction that was adjacent to the house. We were woken up by 7:30 am each morning (Friday and Saturday), and the construction continued throughout the day. We understand this is out of the owner's control, but a heads-up about this possibility would have been greatly appreciated. As for safety, the back door coming out to the pool definitely needs to be fixed, as the door is very insecure even when locked. Overall, if we visit Key West again, we could be open to booking this stay again, but we may explore other options as well.

Property was very cute

I think some things should be updated around pool. I was not thrilled with ants. We bought spray and never had the problem the rest of time.Construction beside us was not great. But work goes on!A little pricey for what you have. A little sanding and some Rustolium paint once a year would be an improvement.

Excellent property, terrible timing

**If you are considering renting this property in the next six months or so be advised there is a MAJOR CONSTRUCTION project right next door**Everything about this house was as advertised - adorable, clean, great location, etc etc - please read all the reviews and know they are accurate, which is why I gave the property a high rating.BUT - we were completely unaware of the huge construction project next door. Loud music, power tools, and yelling each day (including a Saturday) from 8AM-5PM. Unavoidable, but greatly impacted our stay as we were looking forward to lounging around the pool in quiet and privacy. No discount in pricing was offered to compensate for the inconvenience and disruption.Check-in was easy, but late - I had to contact the host to inquire and didn't receive info until well after check-in time of 4PM. Property manager was fairly unapologetic and unresponsive to our complaints about the unexpected construction, other than to agree it is "a major project." We would absolutely recommend this property - once the house next door is finished being built.

Nice spot

The property was very nice and it's in a great location. Only steps from Duval but still in a quiet neighborhood. There was construction on the house next door that was very loud and started every morning exactly at 8:00 am. The property was very accommodating with an early arrival but not as much with a late departure. We had to leave by 10:00 am but our flights didn't leave until early afternoon and there was no space to store packed bags until we were ready to leave. I would definitely come back....but once construction next door is over.

Great place, construction a bit of an issue

House and location are great. We come to the Keys every year and we really liked this place. However, the construction is an issue. Street was closed off, sidewalks too. Should have notified us on this. Annoying to be woken up that early on vacation. Take that away, great spot and highly recommended

KW Long Weekend

House was great, very clean, great location. Construction going on next door from 7am-5pm everyday of our trip. Very loud. A/C went out during our stay but other than those two situations it was great.

Spring Break Vacation

overall, our stay was good. Great location near Duval Street. Excellent beds and baths. perfect for three couples having some privacy with this small house in the back.The only setbacks were the construction on both sides of the property. The backyard could have used some cleanup and more updated pool chairs. Also, they were lacking in some kitchen utensils and basics.

Family getaway to the sun

House and pool were beautiful and relaxing!! Perfect location to all the fun! Walkable to restaurants and bars! We rented a golf cart about a block away from house which was also very convenient. Our stay at this house created a perfect week for the entire family. Would definitely stay again when visiting Key West.

Great location and clean

We had three couples so attached bathrooms to the three bedrooms was perfect. Place was clean and had what we needed. Communication with property manager was easy and good. Great location to walk to restaurants, entertainment and shopping. We didn’t use pool much as there was construction going on next door every day. It is an older home so noise outside with construction was louder but surprising at night, it was quiet, even being so close to Duval street.

Perfect place right off Duval street

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect house. We had four people total and everyone got their own “space” having their own bedroom and bathroom. I didn’t realize the house itself is 2BR2BA and then the garage is converted into its own little apartment with a king bed, bathroom and small kitchenette area. It even has AC that worked nicely. The pool is amazing and we really enjoyed it. I love they have washer/dryer so we can pack less and just wash what we need. Three houses from Duval street this was a perfect and actually quiet place. I’d definitely stay again, we didn’t want to leave.
