A wonderful house with everything you want for a big family getaway, it had everything we wanted plus more.The place was presented very clean and neat and tidy and the beds were super comfy.Loved the different zones to the house which made the place feel uncluttered and as a nig group there was plenty of spaces to retreat to get quiet time.The host/manager answered any questions very promptly and when we asked for the remote he brought it to us without us having to wait for a long period of time.Would definitely recommend this to a large group.Dion, thank you for making our stay everything we wanted.

Great setup for a big group with lots of kitchen appliances available. The house was well cleaned and comfortable for everyone. There were plenty of books for everyone to read, with Netflix available for us to watch and board games for the kids. Thank you for a memorable time at your home. Communication was efficient and promptly replied.

The property suited our needs perfectly. We had three couples with four children and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. All the facilities were as advertised and the heating was just what we needed for the Ballarat winter.

Home away from Home

Clean comfortable house with almost everything you need. Plenty of pots and pans to cook with. Many appliances and toys for children. Only thing missing that would have been handy was a gate on top and bottom of stairs as we had a 21 month old staying but we survived and there was fortunately no accidents

A Great House For a Group

We were a group of 4 friendship groups, the house was spacious with each of us having a space to go to when required and even in the same family room kitchen, it is opened planned that we could come together, everything was mentioned but some extras in the pantry. We had a little trouble with the door but that was us more than anything else. Communcation was good in this situation, but overall we were just so happy with the house and how it was presented and a great overall feel.

Very relaxed, only went out at night one time to the Piano Bar , great place singalong to your requests. All had a great time. Also met up at Munsters Hotel good food .

Everything and more

This house had everything we could ask. Was very clean and close to everything we were attending. Host was fantastic answering promptly and nothing was to hard. Highly recommended and still definitely stay here again

Enjoyed our time there.

Overall, it's a fantastic property and was very impressed with the extra items within the home. From crockery, kitchen appliances, even scissors, the extra outdoor chairs and the games for the kids to play. Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property!

Comfortable, convenient and warm

This home was/is amazing! Clean, comfortable and warm with plenty of room for everyone. Bedrooms were spacious, clean and beds were comfortable. Kitchen was amazing, well equipped and had staples stocked in the pantry. Loved the large dining table and open fire! Kids loved the games and the huge couch with recliners. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We would all highly recommend the Pioneer House.

Worked perfectly!

Five "old" girl friends enjoyed three nights at Pioneer House. Warm, very comfy, extremely well fitted out house. Couldn't fault a thing. Would definitely recommend & would like to return.

Winter Weekend Retreat

It was a pleasure to arrive at Pioneer House Ballarat and find everything exactly like it was on the website. And so clean and comfortable. The heating was easy to use which made it a great cosy space. The six of us could store all our shared meals well in the huge fridge and walk in pantry. There was every kind of kitchen appliance and need. The beds were nice and warm. The neighbours tabby cat would visit every morning. The house was so conducive to being social, bantering across the table, chatting around the fireplace, that we didn’t even think of watching Netflix, even though some of us wanted to catch up on some episodes. I would recommend this property to anyone. We are certainly looking forward to coming back soon.

Expected a down stairs bathroom as I have a disability.

Overall, lovely house, well presented, except the downstairs toilet would not flush, rang the owner - wasn't fussed, The walls are exceptionally thin, could hear everyone clearly. Expected a down stairs bathroom as there was a downstairs bedroom, I really struggled getting up the stairs to shower as I have a disability and can not do stairs. NOT happy with the misleading information. The downstair bedroom was also very cold, if you turned up the heating upstairs, it was OK downstairs, but they roasted upstairs. Couldn't win. One night a very cute friendly kitten was in the back yard, rang the owner to see who it might belong to. The reply we got was that "could we take it to the animal shelter" ""What"". What an uncaring owner and with the amount of Christian and self help books and DVD's you would have expected a better response. Later that night the kitten was gone, we hoped he went home.

Ballarat mini break

This was such an easy last minute holiday rental. The house is so well ste up for 3 families with 10 children. The aircon throughout the house was a godsend as we got caught in a hot spell. Would definitely rent again.
