Lovely property

We spent a full week here. The privacy is everything, along with the dock. It’s a beautiful area to start your day off with a cup of coffee and sunshine. The landscaping was such an added bonus. Thanks for a great visit!

This property is ideally located in the quiet side of West End. It is a great size fully stocked, all the necessary amenities and wonderful hosts.

Very Quiet One Bedroom near Half Moon Bay

Location was as advertised and exactly what we wanted. Hosts were helpful and property was very comfortable and well prepared. Location was great being near several good restaurants. Snorkeling at half moon bay was amazing.

Great little apartment.

My wife and I stayed here for a week and had a great time. The unit was comfortable, close to many shops and restaurants. Mark and Deanna were great hosts and made us feel at home. We can’t wait to go back.

Good location to West End

We enjoyed our stay at the condo - loved the quiet neighborhood, yet very walkable to the West End Restaurants and water taxis to West Bay. Was fun to use the kayaks and paddle around the bay. Thanks to Mark for sharing his fresh picked apple bananas with us - they were delicious:)

Perfect quiet location near vibrant West End

Property is as beautiful as the pictures! I had debated between West End and West Bay areas, and am so glad we chose this one! A quick and safe walk any time to the West End area, where we enjoyed so many great meals and sunsets. Easy to grab a water taxi to West Bay Beach. While our week was not a perfect sunny one, we still enjoyed two beach days, snorkeling, hydrobiking and a visit to the Sloth Sanctuary. Cooked in on our rain days, which was convenient. Airport transfers with a stop at the grocery store are a bonus, and hosts are available, but provide privacy. Enjoy!

Peaceful Vacation Spot

The property was a perfect vacation getaway for us. It is secluded and quiet but close to everything in West End. The hosts were super nice and friendly. The transportation provided to and from the airport was the icing on the cake for us.

Perfect location for couple

Secluded and quiet with a beautiful view of the bay. Very comfortable. Close enough to town to walk to bars, restaurants and the beach at West End. Deana and Mark were perfect hosts; very responsive when we had a question, otherwise they gave complete privacy.

Beautiful Casa Amarilla

We spent two weeks at Casa Amarilla and loved the property. It was well designed and perfect for two people. The yard was beautiful, well maintained and the view on the bay was very relaxing. Restaurants and the half-moon bay were at a walking distance from the property. Deana and Mark were extremely helpful and very patient with our questions. We highly recommend the Casa Amarilla to anyone who want to spend a comfortable and yet quiet time in Roatan.

West end and Half moon bay are the best!

This area was so peaceful with the laid back from way back feel. Whole town and atmosphere was that way, people are kind and awesome. You feel a true community vibe and connection. The condo is great with a beautiful view on the patio, and hummingbird visits enjoying the nectar from the flowers. The garden area is quaint and relaxing. Bed was very comfy as well as the entire condo inside and out. Thanks Deanna and Mark for being perfect hosts! And a big thumbs up to the transportation and grocery stop, very accommodating!

Tranquil

We had a wonderful week at Casa Amarillo. Our hosts Deanna and Mark were wonderful. The unit was immaculately clean and very comfortable. The view off the back and from the dock was amazing. We enjoyed frequent hummingbird visits and the waves of butterflies flying west at sunset. It is a very easy walk to half moon bay where there are many restaurants and bars, but when you get back it is very calm and quiet until the roosters crow and you can start a new day. Enjoy paddling in the beight. We sure did!

Casa Amarilla - January, 2023

We had an absolutely AWESOME stay at Casa Amarillo. Online presentation was 100% accurate. Super clean. Quiet location but easy walk to West End and walking distance from some great restaurants. Betty gave us a great mini tour to help us get acquainted with the area. Deana and Mark were great hosts and all communications were very clear. Enjoyed the tranquility of the patio seating the room had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Roatan and the West End. Thanks for sharing your home with us. Marvelous

We loved our stay in Roatan and the apartment of Mark and Deana. The location is so convenient to everything we wanted to do. I was worried about not having a car but it was no problem. We did not get to meet Mark and Deana but their caretakers were wonderful. They met us at the airport, had a cold drink for us in the car, took us to the grocery store and then to the apartment. Kay walked around the grocery store with me and gave me advice on things she liked and did not like. It turned out we were both from GA and John(her husband) went to school near me and we knew some of the same people. John and Kay were very helpful with questions we had. The dive shop recommended by Deana was Seagrape and we loved everyone at the dive shop. We went on 11 dives in our week there and it is so close we walked to the dive shop each day. The apartment is newly on the rental market and is in excellent condition. The kitchen is new. Shower is large and hot water was not a problem. There is a large screen tv but we did not turn it on. We enjoyed sitting on the dock in the morning and after a day of diving. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook when we wanted to cook a meal. The apartment could use some board games, some hooks hanging outside to hang wet clothes, a hammock hanging under the porch and a guest book to write reviews and advice for restaurants, etc. I am sure with time Deana and Mark will add these things. None of these items are necessary to have a good time just would be nice to have eventually. The breeze was wonderful though I understand it is not always as breezy was it while we were there. We would go back next week if we could.

Perfect Little Getaway

Stayed here 2 weeks. Communication was excellent. Mark and Deena advised us they would be providing a taxi which was waiting for us at the airport and to bring a few grocery bags. Taxi stopped at the main supermarket (10km away) and waited while we shopped then took us to the property where Mark greeted us. Cost of the taxi was provided but we tipped.Property was really comfortable, especially the bed. Temperature control was awesome. Cookware was a little basic but acceptable and we ate out a lot. There is a good blender. Lots of restaurants within a 10 minute walk and a great one 2 minutes away. Prices are reasonable, but not cheap. A convenience store that has most items you need including some fruits and veggies (and alcohol) was probably a 6 minute walk. Pharmacy close by. Seriously, you don’t need to drive anywhere. Kayaks provided were good and included a full life jacket. The bay at the property is murky so don’t expect to snorkel but good snorkelling is a short walk. There’s about a gazillion dive shops, too. The hammock on the property was awesome.There is no laundromat but there is a clothesline. Mark did mention Victors Laundry Service and there is a Facebook page with phone #, otherwise it’s sink wash. Because we were there 2 weeks, there was a cleaning done after week 1. They do a really good job. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great place for couple to stay when visiting West End fairly easy walk to town and half moon bay. My favorite part of Roatan. Wonderful shady garden to relax in before and after day trips. Would recommend

We have always loved to travel to tropical destinations, and had been searching for the perfect place to find a home where we could create a great experience for our guests. Vancouver Island had been our home for many years, it is very beautiful and we had a great life there. It just doesn't offer the flip flop life we craved. Our first trip to Roatan was early in 2015 and we immediately fell in love. The beautiful coral reef surrounding the entire island creates the best snorkeling and diving that we have ever experienced, it also creates beautiful turquoise warm water for swimming and simply sitting on the white sand enjoying the view. The local people were so friendly and welcoming and the food was great! We knew that we had found our new home! Although it was hard to leave our friends and family, we have never looked back. We would love to have you come and share our little piece of paradise with us.

We are so happy and grateful to have found Roatan and our beautiful home, Casa Amarilla. It is the perfect location for us, as it offers the best of both worlds. Being waterfront on Mangrove Bight, it provides peace, tranquility and stunning views; yet it is a short 2 minute walk to Half Moon bay beach and all the dive shops, restaurants, shops, and nightlife in West End. The suite on the main floor of the home is the perfect space for guests to have plenty of privacy just steps from the ocean. We knew right away that this was the perfect home for us and a perfect location for our guests.

Watching the sunrise each morning over the mountain across the Bight as the fisherman head out for their daily catch is such an amazing benefit of this property. The stargazing at night is equally stunning. You can arrange to be picked up right on our dock for many activities here. If you are a diver, there are so many great dive shops to choose from a short walk from the property. If you like to enjoy the night life, no need to worry about driving or getting a taxi after having a few drinks as it's a very short walk home.
