Hidden Gem

Blown away by Barry’s property and our stay! We had a small micro wedding on the dock and the property and birds stole the show! It was all our family could talk about. It’s a beautiful, well taken care of green space you’d never expect so close to the city. Can’t wait to come back.

Archimedes Nest is an absolute gem! I’ve traveled to many countries around the world and rarely come across a place as interesting as Barry’s. There is so much to discover. It is clear that so much thought, time, and love has gone into this property. From all the incredible exotic birds to the carefully curated decor both indoors and out, it is a nature lover’s paradise. Both the inside and outside have so much personality and charm. The outdoor property is massive, with so many hidden details to explore including ponds, pagodas, greenhouses, courtyards, art, and animals. We loved the bohemian decor, with beautiful Buddha, Ganesha, and animal statues around every corner. It’s also a bird sanctuary, with owls, parrots, swans, peacocks, emus and more, each with their own personalities. Interacting with the talking cockatoos and curious emus was one of our favorite parts of the stay. The inside is extremely comfortable, clean, well appointed, and artfully decorated. We loved the motorized blinds and cozy furniture. We were really impressed by all the attention to detail and Barry’s carefully curated decor. There were so many curious details to notice, like the adorable axolotl in a tank which was basically a piece of art in itself. We couldn’t believe such a cool place was hiding just minutes from east Atlanta village. Barry was such a wonderful host to us and the place he has created could never be replicated. Highly recommend
