The house is located in a safe neighborhood. You can walk to town which is small but good restaurants. The house was cozy and very clean. The beds are so comfortable and having a tv right in the room was really nice. I will definitely book this house again if I am ever in the area again. Thank you for opening your home to us.

Cute Duplex, Great Location

Such a clean, nicely decorated place, perfect for two people. We were here for Olivet graduation, which was an easy, short drive from here. Also very close to Main Street shops & restaurants. A train track does run by this property…while not super loud, you can hear it while awake, but it did not bother our sleep.

Ami was such a pleasure to deal with! We had an emergency that required us to change our plans. Ami didn't hesitate to work with us. Shoefest

Great stay for Shoefest. Great neighborhood. Trains run behind the house on a regular basis but do not use their horn. Vegetation and trees cover the tracks and trains.

Nice accamodation

This was the second time we had stayed in this lovely home. It was clean and comfortable, close to the park to enjoy morning or evening walks. The only downside is the close proximity to the train tracks, so you might need earplugs. Other than that it is a very nice place.

A well-maintained, cozy home in a nice area

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was in good shape, and the king beds in both rooms were great. (Ami assured us that the remarks about one of the beds in an earlier review were addressed.) We slept very comfortably there. The neighborhood is clean and quiet, there's a grocery store and a number of dining options right in Manteno, and many more if you want to travel 10 minutes south. Having an enclosed garage was a nice plus. There's a TV in every room, comfortable furniture, just a nice setting all around. And Ami was super helpful and quick to respond to a couple of perhaps unusual requests (such as needing a shower chair). There are two things I think a potential guest should be aware of: The water pressure was not strong (better in the second bathroom due to the type of shower head). And the trains. The tracks are out of sight but not that far off. There is tree coverage between them and the house, but I imagine the sound buffering is better in the summer than the winter/early spring. That said, while we noticed a couple of long, loud trains the first night, we grew accustomed to the sound after that and largely enjoyed hearing the occasional train roll by, day or night.

This home was totally renovated with the idea of making this place an enjoyable place to get away. The home is equipped with modern appliances and new custom countertops and furniture. There is a 65' TV in the living room and a 55" TV in both bedrooms. If you need to use the washer and dryer you will enjoy the super quiet front loading LG washer and dryer. There is a near by park and walking paths in the area.
