This is a nice large house with lots of natural light and beautiful views of the saltwater marsh in the back yard. The beds were mostly comfortable and all the rooms were well furnished. One of the queens beds on the lower level is exceptionally high and my elderly mother had trouble getting in and out of it. There is a foot stool for this purpose, so it is workable.
I wasn’t clear from the listing about the actual layout of the house. It has two main floors and a finished basement with an exit out to the deck. The top level has the master bedroom and bath and an open loft area with a futon. The main level has the kitchen, dining room, living room, sun room, and full bathroom. The basement has two bedrooms (queen, and two twins) and a family room. There is no bathroom in the basement where the two bedrooms are - this is an inconvenience especially if you have elderly family members staying with you.
We had a problem with the washer when we arrived, and while it was eventually resolved by getting a replacement washer installed, it took an entire week to get this done. We stayed two weeks, so we absolutely needed access to the washer for beach clothes and face masks. The management company was quick to respond to my messages, but communication with the owner was often delayed by 1-2 days. Overall, I appreciated the work that the management company puts into this, but the washer issue should have been resolved much faster. It also took over a week to get the rental confirmed in the first place, so this is an area I hope they improve on in the future.
Overall, we had an enjoyable stay in this house. It had almost everything we needed and the location is beautiful. The best part for us was that it is dog-friendly. There are also great dog-friendly beaches in the area that we enjoyed.
