Our large family group stayed at this lovely home for the week of my daughter's wedding. The quaint neighborhood is safe and peaceful. The architecture of the home is so interesting and we enjoyed reading about the history of the development of the area that used to have coal mines and dairy farms! The bedrooms are large with comfortable, firm mattresses, there is ample storage, plenty of bathroom space on each floor, and the kitchen was well supplied for home cooking. A crib and high chair were available for the toddler. Basic oil, spices and coffee were supplied on arrival. The gathering spaces were wonderful for playing board games at the large table and couches were comfortable for watching the FIFA World Cup! We had elderly grandparents and noted that the stairs are fairly steep (typical to the age of the home) and there is only one bedroom on the main floor. All entry ways to the home have several stairs. My only feedback is that there were no outdoor chairs to enjoy the back yard/deck. We brought in a few camp chairs but would have used the deck far more if there were table and chairs outdoors. There is a Target with basic food supplies that is a short drive away but the area is more residential than commercial. Many lovely locally owned restaurants and shops are a few blocks away but groceries/fast food etc require a car. The nearby park is lovely to walk in and had a playground, splash pad, tennis courts and walking paths.Highly recommend this lovely home!
