Good Location

Great location in Nice. Near the train station and airport. It is an older apartment and needs repairs. There is one bathroom that is split into 2 rooms. One room has shower and double sink the 2nd room has the toilet and small sink. Sofa bed is really bad so the 5th person had to sleep on the sofa which wasn’t much better. It is a self service apartment so bring your own supplies, including toilet paper. Check in was easy, communication was fine. Location is the best part.

Lovely apartment in a good area

The apartment was very spacious, clean and easily accessed in a good area. It was a short walk to Vieux Nice, the tram, small super marche, the park and restaurants and 5-10 minute walk to the station. I would definitely recommend this apartment. The only issue we had was getting a reply from the agent who was originally letting us into the apartment. His reply by email was very rude and not appreciated. The young man who was there to let us in was very nice and explained everything we needed to know.

I am very late at writing a review. I stayed here may 14. Amazing place so close to old town and lovely to be in the new town as it was so quiet at night. Such a big apartment great amenities; large kitchen, big airy bedrooms, large livingroom, great shower, livingroom. Was met by lovely owner and everything was well explained well. Definitely made our stay very comfortable. Gorgeous bakery right across the road. 6 of us slept here very comfortably if i was visiting again with 6 people it would be first choice! Absolutely spotless and very stylish

If you have never been to Nice, France or are a returning visitor, this place is located perfectly near the beach, cafe's, shopping and the old town. It is literally one block away from the promenade and in a nice, quiet area of town. If you are arriving by the train, it is a short 10 minute ride. If by the airport, 20-30minutes. If you are arranging transportation, I would contact Friend in France, which is one block away from the flat and has transportation during your stay, as well as luggage hold if you are using Nice as a base. The flat itself is extremely large, with two big rooms, a massive bathroom (with a stand up shower and tub), great kitchen and a nice living/dining room space. There is great WIFI, a cafe across the street and a grocery two blocks away. Please remember that you need to bring your own toilet paper, otherwise you will be in for a rude awakening when you go the bathroom for the first time. The only drawback was that we had to wait three hours before being let into the flat. I would recommend that the towels be replaced as they were extremely worn out. Overall, a great selection!

Wonderful Apartment in the Heart of Nice

The apartment was exactly as it stated in the ad. It was spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. We loved the location, walking distance to everything. We never needed to take a bus, everything was a short walk away, the Cours Saleya, the Promenade des Anglais, Vieux Nice, etc. We can't wait to return!

Comfy home in the city

This was a wonderful apartment. It was exactly as described, and possibly even better. It was very clean and comfortable, and felt very spacious for its size. The beds are very cozy as well. We loved having Sky TV and the DVD player for the kids (8 & 10), and the WiFi for the grown-ups. We really felt at home while we were here. The location was extremely convenient. The main shopping area was only a few blocks away. It was only a five minute walk to the main bus station if you would like to do any day trips. It is only a 20-45 minute trip to Monaco and some of the other villages. The beach was only a 5 minute walk own the road. We were able to watch the end of the Paris-Nice bike race. We have been making our way across Europe staying in private apartments, and this has been our favorite by far. We would recommend this place without hesitation for singles and families, as Nice has something to offer to everyone. We realy hope to make our way back here one day.

Family Stay - October 2009

The details published about the appartment and online secure payment made booking easy and hassle free. The personal contact and greeting on arrival in Nice was very helpful, reassuring and made locating the appartment simple. The appartment was clean, comfortable and generally well equiped. While located in the "heart of Nice" the appartment was quiet with the bedrooms overlooking an inner courtyard garden. It was within easy walking distance to the main shopping and tourist areas and great for catching buses / trains to all the surrounding attractions. (A couple of minor points - we were a little surprised that there was no teapot and only one cutting board.)

Good place. superb location in every respect (ie near to the old town, the bus station for the 1euro Monaco trip, and the bus drop off point from airport (4euros each way). However despite the central location, it is quiet and the 2 bedrooms are at the rear of the property overlooking the inner courtyard garden; so no problems getting a good night sleep. Clean, modern style, has air con, its on the first floor so there's not may stairs (and there is a tiny lift). Would recommend to others and would stay here again. It can sleep 6 (using a sofa bed in the living room) but only has one loo and bathroom so it might make getting ready a bit busy for some. However the shower is excellent, there were 5 of us staying and we didnt really have any problem. The only improvements to suggest would be provision of a teapot and toaster for us Brits!

Fantastic location!

We were delighted with 3 Rue Gubernatis. The location was excellent...2 minutes to bus station, 8 minutes to beach and 5 minutes to Place Massena in centre of Nice. Very well equipped apartment with spacious, well equipped bedrooms/living room/ kitchen. We travelled with two teenage daughters and they enjoyed the WiFi, Sky TV, proximity to shopping, large bathroom, lots of mirrors! The apartment felt airy, with large ceilings, white walls and clean lines. We found the information folders very helpful and had a really fantastic holiday. We would go back for definite and have no hesitation recommending 3 Rue Gubernatis. We have been renting owner properties in different countries over the past 5 years and this one gets 10/10. Enjoy!!!

Wonderful apartment

Two couples stayed in the apartment for 6 nights. Joy who met us was lovely and helpful. She had knowledge of the local area and gave a useful tour of the rooms. The location is perfect. Close to the old town, beach and the shopping. Rooms were a great size and the living area with DVD and British Sky was just what we needed on a night in and relax in the afternoon. Due to the price of eating out we self catered for a few eveings and it just felt like a home from home. Would love to visit again
