The Space:

Bahía Serena is the perfect getaway to relax and enjoy our beautiful island. Situated in front of Playa Ostiones and with direct beach access. This cozy 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment offers a remodeled kitchen, living area with cable TV and a bar, a small balcony this cozy 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment offers a remodeled kitchen, living area with cable TV and a bar, a small balcony overlooking mangroves and the beach, a master bedroom with queen bed, and the 2nd bedroom with another queen bed. The apartment is located in Cabo Rojo which is renowned across the island for its wide array of restaurants and gorgeous sunsets. The apartment complex has a pool, a small playground for children, and the includes 1 parking spot. Maximum occupancy is 4 guests. 



IMPORTANT NOTE #1: Starting Monday, June 30, 2025, exterior painting work will take place at the property during business hours. There may be occasional workers in common areas and mild paint odors. All interior areas will remain fully accessible.



IMPORTANT NOTE #2: CHECK-IN PROCEDURE: The check-in process at this property is a bit complicated. Upon arrival, guests are requested to park outside the gate temporarily. Subsequently, guests are required to utilize a key, which is placed inside a lockbox, to access the pedestrian gate. Once through, guests will need to grab the remote for the entrance gate inside the unit. We kindly ask guests to take note of this procedure prior to confirming their booking.





LIVING AREA



Enter Bahía Serena to an open concept living area with the kitchen to your right with a 2 person kitchen counter and living area to your left. Directly in front of the entrance is the bar with a wine cooler. The living area has air conditioning to keep things nice and cool. Past the living area, you have a cozy balcony with side views of the mangroves and the ocean. 





SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS



There are two bedrooms at Bahía Serena. The master bedroom has a queen bed and the 2nd bedroom has a queen bed. Both bedrooms have closets, 2 nightstands, blackout window treatments, and air conditioning.



PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.





KITCHEN



Bahía Serena has a compact but well-designed modern kitchen that is completely equipped for an extended stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave, stovetop, oven, coffee maker, and toaster.



The kitchen also has a two-in-one washer/dryer.





GETTING AROUND & PARKING



The apartment includes one (1) parking spot and there is space for additional cars across the street.



Renting a car is a must when staying at Cabo Rojo. There are many activities within 15 minutes of driving distance and the roads are easy to navigate.





LOCATION



There are many things to do in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. This part of the island is best known for its amazing beaches and delicious restaurants. Here are our top picks of things to do: 



Explore the large selection of local restaurants. Some of our favorites include El Gato Negro, El Balcón de Mindy, Buena Vibra, Restaurant Brisas del Mar.



Relax at the beach and pool at Bahía Serena. The pool has chairs for sun lounging and we include beach chairs, beach towels, and coolers for the beach. Our favorite section of the beach is to the right when you get to the sand. Walkthrough the mangroves and there are various sections of sand that have both sun and shade and very tranquil water. 



Do a day trip to Playa Buyé. It is 15 minutes away and is one of the most spectacular beaches on the island. 



Rent Jet Skis at Boqueron Aquamarine Adventures. This is about 20 minutes away.



Visit the center of town at Boqueron. There is a wide array of bars and restaurants to choose from all within walking distance of each other. We recommend you go there late afternoon to enjoy the afternoon and then some nightlife.



Other Things to Note:

STARTER AMENITIES



At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay.



All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest.



We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include:



- 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom)

- 3 garbage bags

- 1 roll of paper towels

- 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom)

- 1 dish soap

- 1 dish sponge

- A small amount of laundry detergent



Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay.



Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation.





HOUSE RULES



RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed.



NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated.



NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property.



QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors.



UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable.



MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 4 adults/children at all times, including visitors.



OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund.



TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items.



TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated.



SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted.





CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES



Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that.



If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule.



If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival.



Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you.





TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON



We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues.



Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase.

Great Spot

It was a great hub for our family to visit Playa Sucia, Cabo Rojo, Buye Beach, and other towns. The beach behind the house was great. Took the trail to the left and then hit numerous "private" beaches for my family of 4. The pool was a great break for the kids from our constant travel. The house was clean and bright. Beach chairs were clutch.

Beautiful apt

Love the apt super clean and very cute! Close to a few nice beaches and many great restaurants. I had a little trouble accessing the beach in the back of the apt. But I’m their defense I was trying to figure it out on my own and not bother anyone early on a Sunday morning :)

Paradise living

Convenient 3 to 5 minute walk to the beach. Clean and comfortable although only warm water, not hot. Since there is no dishwasher, i was hard to get dishes clean with no hot water, also no stopper for the sink to soak. There are are no hooks in the bathroom or bedrooms to hold up towels or wet clothing. The washer/dryer all in one combo took for ever and clothes never really dried unless hung out on the balcony. Great memories on the beach and a good time with my PR friends.

Bed bugs!

This property is remote and just not a very nice place. The pool was filthy and had no chairs to just lay out. The sheets were scratchy and awful. We left a day early and I am glad we did. As soon as we got to a hotel, we found out we were covered in bed bug bites! The only nice thing about this location is that it backs up to a small public beach/boat launch. That area is pretty. The unit owner/operator was very helpful leading up to our stay and answered right away when I called late at night and couldn't find the location. But I would never recommend this place to anyone.
