We really enjoyed our stay at Captian Connor's Hideaway! I highly recommend if you are ever looking for a place in that part of the panhandle!

Great place with a short walk to the beach! Would rent again! Chris was so easy to work and I would definitely rent from him again!

Long Weekend Fall Break

3 families come together every fall, finally found a place to accommodate all of us. 6 adults and 6 kids. Very easy walk to the beach, house was great. Only feedback I would say is maybe needs a fire pit. Overall great place to stay!

Beautiful vacation home!

This property was beautifully laid out and well maintained. The apartment in the basement was very handy, as folks had their own space, but could still join us upstairs for larger meals. The house had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen. LOVED the close proximity to the beach; less than a block! And, of course, loved, loved, loved the beach! We would stay here again without any hesitation.

Great beach house, plenty of room

We enjoyed our stay over the Fourth of July week. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The beach is an easy walk across the road but the pathway down the beach was a little longer than expected. But it wasn’t a problem just something you may want to know ahead of time.

Very nice house, plenty of space for the boat and both vehicles. They provided a cart to take our stuff to the beach which was nice it wasn’t a hard walk. They didn’t have a pod coffee machine and no salt, pepper or spices which is fine but if you shop before you arrive it’s good to know.

Great house in a great location!

We enjoyed our stay completely! The house was exactly as described and had everything we needed. One small issue we had with the shower liners was addressed within 30 minutes. We would come here again and again! The property manager and owners were super easy and made the whole process a breeze. Loved that there were not high expectations for check out, just clean your dishes, take out your trash and leave dirty towels in the bathroom. This is not true of all rentals. Overall, A+!!

Great Trip

We had a great trip to Port St Joe. The house was very nice, clean, and very comfortable. We had a very short walk to the beach and loads of privacy. The property manager was especially nice and even left us with nice gifts. There were absolutely no problems with the house and look forward to going back in the future.

Wonderful

This property was just perfect for our big family. Everyone had plenty of room. The screened in porch was such a huge bonus for our little ones. We did not have to worry about them playing. Plus the view was perfect for sunset.

Family Beach Vaca

Perfect size for our first annual family beach vacation… perfect distance to the beach! Great location! Great space! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for a week! Will definitely be back!

I would not recommend renting this house under any circumstances.

. Below is a list of some but not all the problems with this home. This house is in serious need of a complete update including the furniture, paint/wallpaper, flooring and appliances. We arrived on Saturday the 26th Drains would not drain even after the property manager ( who was very nice) was called and poured Drano down the drain. If you like taking a shower in 4 inches of water or brushing your teeth with a sink full of water then you might like this house. Screened in porch did not have a screen door. On Tuesday a screen door was “rigged” and put in place. We had to help the smaller children open the door as the spring was so tight that they could not open the door and it slammed so hard that it was a hazard along with the sharp metal piece sticking out of the bottom of the door. This was definitely not done to code. The screen porch looked as if it had not been cleaned in years with all the dead bugs pasted to the rails inside. The drywall had patches from roof leaks ( according to the owner Chris McDaniel) that had not been painted or drywalled. He said he would have to paint the entire inside or wallpaper it and he was not going to do it. Ice Maker would not stop making ice so every time the freezer would open much ice would spill onto the floor. We were told that they were aware of it however their solution was to turn it off and not have ice. Dishwasher did not work the entire stay. Calk missing from behind the faucet on the counter top in the kitchen with black grime may have been mold behind the sink on the counter. Master bed room fan made a clicking noise so it was not able to be used. Master bath had the bracket on the wall for a towel rack but no towel rack. My son was bitten by some type of bug in bed and the bite was so bad we had to take him to the doctor for treatment No doorbell only wires sticking out of the wall. Could be a shock hazard. TV in three of the rooms didn’t work for the 1st three days however property manager fixed them with new remotes.

Great location, good communication with owners

We reserved Captain Conner’s Hideaway online and Chris was quick to respond. Beach house was clean and exactly as listed. Nice neighbors. We enjoyed our visit very much.
