This one bedroom/1bath unit offers an amazing view of the beach and Gulf of Mexico. The dining room and living room area opens out to the private balcony where the view of the beach and the Gulf of Mexico takes your breath away. The kitchen is updated with beautiful cabinets and granite counter tops. The cabinets are filled with dishes, cookware and utensils. A coffee maker and toaster are also provided. The bedroom has two queen beds, large dresser, flat screen TV and walk- in closet. Bed linens and bath towels are provided for up to 4 guests in the condo. As a guest of John's Pass Condo's you will have access to our office services such as printing boarding passes and sending and receiving faxes as well as receive and send mail from our office. Our friendly staff will do their best to accommodate any requests or concerns you may have during your vacation. Please come and enjoy the beautiful beach and soothing warm breezes as well as the local attractions which include John's Pass Village and Boardwalk with its many shops, cafes, restaurants and fishing charters directly across the street from our condos. Coin operated washers and dryers are located on each floor. This is a non- smoking accommodation.

Condo was outdated, dirty, moldy a/c, ceilings, filthy furniture, broken furniture, old saggy beds, stained sheets. Tried to contact property management but no answer, no return call.

Location location location

The kitchen and bath are a little dated but that did not matter, its on the beach and across the street from the restaurants and shopping. Fantastic would go back in a flash.

Needed various things fixed: recliner foot rest is broken; one bed is badly needing mattress replaced; vents are making ceiling real dirty; ice maker does not work (we bought ice trays);Bistro chairs are all badly stained. Bright dot is loved licationBright

Gnats! Lots of them!

First, no key code was sent to me. Second, finally got ahold of someone that gave us a code to get in after we were waiting in the parking lot in the pouring rain!!! Second, we get in and there’s gnats flying all over the place. Third, we look in the bathroom and the tub looks like something out of a run down hotel! Fourth, the furniture looked like they just picked it off the curb. Fifth, the glass sliding doors were filthy. Sixth, when we went to lay on the bed (we were so grossed out at this point) we rolled into the middle onto each other because the bed sloped inward. I never had such an awful experience. Didn’t even bother calling anyone since it was so hard to get a key code anyways… no one probably would even give a shit.

Cockroach infested disgusting room

Cockroaches, disgusting bathroom and completely worn out furnishings. We did not stay at this place. Still waiting to see if i will get a refund for the 3 days we were decieved into paying.

Nice place with a great location. Wished for a couple things like an alarm clock in the bedroom. There were no teaspoons in the condo. The only condiments were salt and pepper. We left sugar and ketchup. Not sure if the next renter got them.

Terrible Beds, Outdated furniture, Great View

Great View and location but the room itself needs some major upgrades. My family and I couldn’t sleep on the beds (extremely loud, outdated and stiff). We placed sheets over the couch due to the condition, smell and low cleanliness. Also, The toilet would only flush if you press the lever 5-6 times. If the room was more updated/fixed correctly this place would be amazing.

Never again...

I would be embarrassed to own this property and I am devastated that I spent my anniversary there. The only good thing about it was the view. Disgusting tub, mold on shower curtain, large cockroach, broken cabinets, broken furniture, electrical hazards, very uncomfortable beds, dirty dishes, not enough towels, bedroom TV that doesn't work and a toilet that wouldn't refill. We have never stayed in such a gross VRBO property and we have stayed in many.

Really needs some love

We love staying at Sandy Shores annually since 2006, but this condo was such a disappointment. Sure, the view is fabulous, but it was filthy and the tvs didn’t work. Thankfully, we brought our fire stick. Very limited kitchen supplies. Half a roll of toilet paper ( seriously)? The bathtub was worn down to the gray metal underneath. No stopper etc. Very sad this unit has been allowed to get so run down.

unit needs updating

view was great, but unit needs updating. Both beds squeaked when turning over or getting out of bed. the tub looked terrible.Looked like someone scratched the bottom, and the drain was rusted. Both faucets worked hard when turning on. the recliner footrest was broken and the hide-a-bed mattress was such, I wouldn't want anyone sleeping on it. Also elec receptacle under headboard only worked on one socket. really liked location, but would not stay again until updated.

Great View/Location but that was pretty much it.

So, the location and view of this condo is outstanding. That is why we booked it. The kitchen, balcony, living room were fine. No issues. The bathroom is pretty much terrible and those full size beds in the bedroom are the worst. We had to lift the lid off the back of the toilet every time we had to use it because it would not refill after each flush. (Every Time) The shower and bath tub were pretty bad but water did at least come out and drain. The beds in the bedroom must be like $50.00 a piece. All in all, if the owner would put in a couple thousand dollards to fix those issues it would have been "perfect!" We had a great time and love only having to walk across the street to John's pass shops and restuaurants, boat/jet ski charters, etc. If the owner fixes some of the issues with the condo i would rate 5 stars.

More cons than pros but great location

Overall I really enjoyed my time staying at this condo. The beach is wonderful, being across from Johns pass is very convenient especially if you are without a car. And overall the pool was a nice space as well. But as far as the condo goes it was only okay. Pros: It was very clean and I had no issues with bugs of any kind! Also they provided a small dish soap, some dishwasher tabs, one paper towel and garbage bag and some toilet paper which was nice. Check in was easy! Cons: The shower is really old and run down. There were only very large spoons, one steak knife and all the utensils seemed like they needed replacing. I had to buy an ice tray because they don’t have one. Lastly communication with the host took a long time. I asked him a question about late checkout 20 hours in advance and didn’t hear back from him until after I already checked out since he didn’t respond. It’s definitely livable and has the bare minimum but not much more.

Old moldy, smelling condo with very old furniture and appliances. READ our honest review.

The property location was perfect and was not the problem. It was the actual condo itself. The bathroom door were off hinges, and the rusted screws wouldn’t stay. The air filters looked like they had not been changed in forever. Mold smells were there each time you can and left and the air started circulating as soon as you walk in to the condo. The beds were just extremely old, so was all of the linen, and it felt like sleeping on a cardboard box on concrete. The bathroom was disgusting. The bathtub was rusted and scratched all over, Both sinks had dark smelly stains underneath like water leaks were there before. You don’t expect a stay at the ritz Carlton when you book these beach condos, but this was just sad and made the stay super uncomfortable . We already committed to this one based on the pictures on the add, and it was too late to find another condo after we arrived. So we sucked it up and made the best of it. I would not recommend staying in this particular unit to anyone. I hope we can get some type of refund percentage back from the owner for all of the issues we encountered.

Ehh...

PROS: Oceanfront view. Surrounded by local restaurants, shopping, and bars. You cannot beat the location and the sand is white and you can see the fish swimming by you in the ocean. We saw dolphins pretty much every morning sitting out on the balcony. Check in was super easy. Crabby's restaurant was AMAZING and we ended up going there a couple times. CONS: SO DIRTY! Our feet were sandy and black after slipping our shoes off yet they claimed how serious they took cleaning. The second morning we woke up to a cockroach!! It was a big boy! The shower was APPALLING! They need some major updates especially in the bathroom. Vanity was cracked on the doors as well. HOLY CRAP the beds were SO FIRM. Not like memory foam firm but like old as all get out firm. We woke up with stiff backs every morning and had to stretch. They need to deep clean this place. Better yet, renovate the whole thing and GET NEW BEDS! I think I would have let everything slide if the beds were super comfortable but the only thing that was great about this condo was the views and location. Would I recommend this beach? 100%!!!! Would I ever come back to this condo? Absolutely not!

Perfect location, disappointing condo

My husband and I are both 50+ years old and have been vacationing at a beach somewhere every year for many many years. We’ve stayed in several disappointing condos but this by far was the worst. No part of the condo felt clean and the bathroom was disgusting. I felt like I needed another shower after getting out of the shower and touching the shower curtain. Neither of us got a good nights sleep for the entire week that we were there because the mattress was in such bad condition. Pillows were like little flapjack pancakes that look and felt like they’ve needed to be replaced for years. Two of the pillows had dirt on the pillowcases so we didn’t use those. We got 4 towels and 4 washcloths for 2 people to use for 7 days and 6 nights. There are washer and dryers on premises if you like spending your vacation doing laundry. The only plus thing to this condo was location. We were beach front, steps from the water and directly across the street from John’s Pass. After checking in and seeing the condition of the condo the only reason we stayed was because it was Memorial Day week and everything else was completely booked. We love Madeira Beach but would never stay in this condo again. It is in desperate need of a renovation and a good deep cleaning. The condo was very spacious and has great potential but we would never book here again.

Hell NO we won’t go! (Back) ever…like ever.

I think the title summarizes wonderfully what my review is about to go into details with. I think it’s important to get the details on this one…. Pros: 1. balcony view (pay extra money for it somewhere else!!) Cons: hang tight…too many to mention. I’m sure I’ll forget something… 1. One of the dirtiest places I’ve stayed in my life! a. Upon arrival walking into the refreshing smell of cigarettes, stale, musty and very unclean odors. b. Couches so dingy, unclean it was not a comfortable place to come back to and relax after a long day of beaching. c. BEDS. Awful!! uncomfortable gross looking and smelling “comforter”. We read reviews that stated cleaning staff has changed and beds updated. That’s a LIE. I’m sure their pants are on fire wherever they are. d. Bathroom is disgusting- old and outdated. Water pressure is one straight line from the seriously rusted shower head. e. Dead roach found under the bed the last day (thank god) not just any ole regular one either- the biggest one I’ve ever seen. 2. asked for late check out- never heard back and had to figure it out the day of departure. We did actually get to stay later which is technically a pro,but also not really. 3. Late check out but changed code to get into our room. 4. Have to remember all kinds of codes to get into pool area. Nobody wants to break into this place- believe me! Such an inconvenience!

Beach view fun

Great view and location. Make sure you get the security codes for building and room before you arrive. Check in time 5pm and office on first floor closes at 5pm. What? No one there when we arrived and no one answered the phone. We were lucky to find an nice employee who helped us get in our room and got us the codes. Beds not comfortable and blankets, curtains plus bed spreads need to be cleaned. Bring toilet paper, dish soap and paper towels. We did enjoy our stay. Balcony view and beach awesome.

Not great but not too bad.

There was much emphasis on cleanliness but on arrival we found dirty glasses, dishes and pans in the cupboards. The toilet was not clean and there was no brush to clean it. I took some time to clean the dishes and glasses and arranged them neatly. I did not have the tools to scrub pot and pans. the living area was very nice but the bathroom needs a complete renovation. In an attempt to find the light switch for the bath, I unknowingly scraped my arm on one of the doors and left blood on the sheets. I accidentily dropped coffee on the kitchen floor but there was nothing available to clean it. I have photos available but I'm not able to attach them here.

Convenient to food fun & Beautiful weather

The elevator gets stuck often so be perpaired for a long wait or use the stairs. Make sure you call them about it. And only 1 roll of T.P. no paper towels. and the tub is worn down. We didnt use the pans because some were left dirty. The screen was ripped up. Theres no broom or mop. Other then that it was clean everything worked great. Beds & pillows are firm. The pool & view is great. Towels are fluffy. Nice people in & out of the condo's. The trolly is great!

Would stay again

The view was amazing! The unit itself is very outdated and could use a good renovation. The unit was clean. The beds were very hard and noisy. Living room furniture could be replaced. We loved the view and the area. The pool lady who cleaned was extremely good at her job.

Last minute trip

Check in was confusing. No one in office to let us know the process. Unit was tidy except for the screen door that was broken so we could not use it. Pool and common areas were beautiful
