On-site construction & work delays MAY be possible and are out of our control. The elevator near the unit is operational as well are the community pool and spa.

Enjoy Captiva Island at its finest in South Seas Bayside Villa #5236, a comfortable 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom with stunning Bay Front views and conveniently nestled within the gates of the South Seas Resort.

This cozy & comfortable condo gets rave reviews from guests lucky enough to vacation in this unit while staying at the renowned South Seas Resort on beautiful Captiva Island. Light, bright and tastefully decorated this 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo which can accommodate 4 adults has lovely views of the amazing views of Roosevelt Channel and Pine Island Sound from the screened lanai and offers spectacular sunrises. The Gulf of Mexico and the gorgeous Captiva beaches are a short stroll from the building and the condo.

Condo amenities include: 1 bedroom/2 bathrooms -- 1 King bed & pull-out sleeper sofa (sleeps 4), Smart TVs (streaming only), WIFI available, fully equipped kitchen, coin operated laundry facilities on-site, community pool, elevators. Bed linens and bath towels included. No Pets allowed. This unit comes stocked with beach chairs, beach towels and an umbrella.

Bayside Villas amenities that are available with this rental include: heated community pool & hot tub, BBQ grills, tennis courts (fee may apply), parking and direct access to award winning Captiva Island beaches!

** This condo is privately owned and is NOT associated with the South Seas Resort rental program. Full resort amenities are NOT available with the rental of this unit including resort pool, golf course access, trolley use, select stores & restaurants, beach rentals, resort appointed parking and any on-site shops within South Seas. Resort guests pay a premium for these amenities.

Incidental Damage Benefit - We understand accidents happen! Every booking with Sanibel Vacations includes protection for those incidental accidents causing damage to the property. Applies to incidental damage only with limits. Details in rental agreement.

Bayside Villa

The condo we stayed in at south seas bayside villa was very nice…clean and comfortable. The view from the screened in porch was beautiful. We had a problem connecting to Wi-Fi and called the rental agency.. we never received a call back. We will not use them again.

Best morning view!

CONS-Upon arrival, there was an overwhelming strong chemical smell from what we could only assume were the cleaning products used, as well as a really strong smell coming from outside. After airing the space out, the inside got better after a day. The outside "sewage" smell came about daily when the heat was strong mid/late afternoon. No-ones fault but it was strong with the heat and hard to sit outside during that time, just FYI. Kids went barefoot in condo immediately and their feet were black within minutes. I'd recommend a more thorough cleaning. It was just ok- not necessarily dirty, but there were stains on master comforter and dust/dirt in corners and stuff. So, I'd go into it with that expectation. Internet spotty. Kind of an inconvenience that beach towels have to be washed prior to departure, bring quarters. Pros- OVERALL, Great morning sunsets + views AMAZING! Worth it simply for this. With two kiddos, the pool was great! Short walk to beach and shops/coffee. Kitchen fully stocked + bag of ice. 2 bathrooms is a very nice bonus. Beach chairs/ towels included. Thanks!

Amazing Sunrise View

Overall, a nice place. Great Captiva location. The unit is situated straight across from an elevator, so that was noisy at times when trying to sleep. Pretty clean unit with tasteful decor. Furniture needed some cleaning, and a few pieces needed to be replaced. Screened in lanai was perfect sunrise spot in the mornings.

Perfect Getaway

We had a great time in Captiva. The location is perfect. Such a quaint island getaway. The unit was very nice and the view off the lanai was gorgeous. Would definitely stay again.

Always love Captiva but…

I like to make my bed every day even on vacation. I think it looks neat and inviting but the linens here could do with an upgrade. On a king size bed the coverlet should be a King size and the blanket was dirty. For the price we pay per day it’s not too much to expect. Otherwise we love the location.

Screened Balcony Overlooking Bay

This condo’s screened balcony was situated overlooking the bay on Captiva. Check-in was easy and the property manager was very pleasant. The condo looked updated and was spotless with a compact but well-stocked kitchen. The king bed was comfortable. We stayed 4 nights.

Magnificent view

Our condo had complete privacy and views of the bay with no walkways between it and the water. It is a short walk to the beach for shelling, swimming and sunsets. The furnishings were a little austere. A slightly larger, more comfortable sofa would have been nice and a second end table in the bedroom a necessity. But all in all, we loved our experience.

Great unit on the Bayside!

My family has been coming to Captiva for decades, but this was the first time I've had the pleasure of staying on the Bay side of the island. The picture of the view doesn't do it justice. I got up early several times to see the sunrise and enjoyed watching the birds nest in the mangroves. You can eat lunch while watching boats in channel and listening to the waves. Inside, the unit was simple, but clean and well stocked. Anything you might need it provided. The full second bath was a nice surprise and the bedroom large. Checking in was remote due to the Christmas holiday, but all instructions were clear and easy to follow. Parking is ample and the expansive pool area was great, Thanks for a memorable week in Florida!

Excellent experience from start to finish

Everything about booking, checking in, renting bikes, and knowing what is expected at checkout was exceptional. SBL was extremely friendly and helpful with every step. Very clean, updated, stocked unit with a wonderful lanai with beautiful views of the bay. We have stayed at Bayside Villas once before and the property, pool, and overall cleanliness brought us back for a second time. We walked or rode bikes every night to dinner with more than enough options within a short distance. Would recommend - great value for the amazing experience and comfort of this villa.

Amazing view!

We really enjoyed staying here! Loved sitting on the lanai! On our second day we saw a 4 ft Iguana sunning and eating on top of the Mangrove! So cool!

Anniversary Get Away

Wow! We loved our stay! The end of the island is so quaint, tropical and walking to Mucky Ducky was the best surprise! We rented bikes from YOLO, soaked up the sun and didn't let a little rain do more than let us find the best seashells. WE LOVE YOU CAPTIVA! Thank you for sharing your condo with us! (Washing the beach towels was not a big deal- a little tricky to find quarters but Starbucks and the commissary helped us out) We were happy to take home clean clothes anyway! XOXO

Beautiful Condo and Property

This property was awesome. The condo has been renovated and is very nice. It is spacious with two bathrooms and a good size kitchen. The pull out couch and king bed is super comfortable. The AC worked great and the views from the condo were spectacular. It was nice to sit on your balcony and have a view of the water directly in front of the condo. The property management company was great to work with. They called me when the condo was ready and gave us the code over the phone. We didn’t have to check in at an office which was nice. The condo had everything you could possibly need, even a beach locker in the ground floor of the building with included (4) beach chairs and an umbrella so you don’t have to carry the included beach gear up to the room. Captiva Island is a magical place and as close to the Caribbean as it gets in the states. The only minor complaints I have is that you had to wash your beach towels before you leave. This was not told to us in advance and we didn’t have any change or cash for the laundry machine. It seems silly to pay to wash two beach towels before you leave. If we would have known in advance we could have brought some quarters with us. Also bring earplugs for sleeping since the bedroom is right next to an a elevator. We never had a problem sleeping with earplugs in.
