Jumbo's Hideout is located on the soundside in the South Ridge Community and is close to the sound side beach access and Jockey’s Ridge State Park and minutes to the beach. Beautiful, well equipped, and well maintained this home will be just the right spot for your family and pets to relax and unwind.

Venture out and shop in our locally owned stores, dine in some of our favorite local restaurants, search for dolphins off the coast, explore one of the coastal lighthouses, visit a historical site or try a water sport you have never experienced before.

Can’t stay an entire week? Introducing Stay Your Way by Village Realty, offering short stays for those who like to plan ahead. Homes in the Stay Your Way program can be reserved in advance with any arrival and departure date, subject to a three-night minimum. Yes, even in the summer! Stay Your Way homes can be booked months in advance.

Exactly what we needed!

Place was perfect for what we needed this family vacation! Check-in was a breeze, everything was exactly as expected, house was well kept and comfortable.

OBX Vacation

Jumbo's Hideout was a perfect spot for our OBX vacation. It's on a quite street equidistant to the ocean and sound. The house amenities were spot on and the neighborhood was great. Very friendly neighbor too.

Great House, Great Location

The house was perfect! Really liked the layout with master bedroom on the main floor and others downstairs. It was clean, beautiful, and just as we expected. Beach access only minutes away.

Spring weekend vacation

House location is great. Near all the restaurants, short drive to parks, beach, museums, etc. pet friendly neighborhood and comfortable.

Great unit

The only problem was we lost a lot of food when the freezer and they then the refrigerator went out on us! It happened on Saturday and we didn’t get another refrigerator until late Monday. We had to throw any food and purchase bags of ice until we were able to use the new refrigerator. I think maybe we could be compensated some?

Some Good, Some Bad

1) Pushbutton home entry code did not work upon arrival. Second entry code, same thing. Finally, a short term emergency code allowed us in after a nearly one hour delay. 2) VRBO listing shows TV as "Satellite/Cable". Neither is true. All TVs access a WiFi based streaming service with NO major networks, so no football, baseball or popular shows available. This description needs to be corrected/clarified in the listing. 3) Main living area, kitchen, MBR are on top floor. Seniors should be mindful of this.
