Come and Hideaway in our Riverside Retreat

Relax & take it easy at this unique riverside getaway. Perched above Conjola creek sits The Hideaway, a place to lose yourself amongst the trees and tranquil sights and sounds of nature.
This waterfront property is the ideal location for a Couples Retreat, Solo Escape or a Family Holiday. With kayaking, boating & fishing at your doorstep & beautiful beaches, wineries, scenic walks, local villages & restaurants all within a short drive, you can do as much or as little as your hearts content.
Offering something different from most holiday properties this Architecturally designed A-Framed home has all you need for that quiet break away, set in a tranquil setting, containing two Loft Bedrooms, a beautifully appointed bathroom with a freestanding tub, open plan kitchen, with dining & lounge lead out to a large deck overlooking Conjola Creek. You'll leave feeling relaxed and coming back for more.

Fisherman's Paradise is a small village, situated at the head of Lake Conjola - a peaceful spot for fishing, swimming and boating, with a boat ramp only 600m along the river. With easy access to the waters edge, take a quiet stroll along the lush, green foreshore and enjoy the tranquility of the creek.

We had a very peaceful stay at Fishermans Paradise. The house is decorated with taste and is cute and cosy. The kitchen is really well equipped if you like cooking, and the place is comfortable. We felt at home!

A wonderful getaway

Wonderful stay

The Hideaway is a charming retreat amongst trees, birds, the river, and absolute serenity. A beautifully equipped little home with little to do but immerse yourself in the peace and stillness. The property is exactly as described, lovingly curated and Carrol was a delight to deal with.

Lovely relaxing week at The Hideaway

Property is perfect place for some quiet downtime amongst the trees and right by the Lake. We were a family of three including a 6 year old - was suited to our needs. Great beaches just a short car journeys away and close to Milton which has lots of great cafes and shopping. We'd definitely love to come back. Recommended

A perfect little cottage placed perfectly near the water.

A very clean and pretty lake front cottage with everything we needed to cook and relax. The board games were great fun and we lit a couple of fires and toasted marshmallows. Thank you Carrol for always responding to my questions so promptly. Amazing

Coastal break

Cute little cottage in a beautiful setting. The house was clean and well kept with a great deck overlooking the river. My wife and I love this area and the house was just right for the two of us. It got a bit tight when our son and his girlfriend joined us for a few days. There is no closet space for clothes and the bedrooms are quite small with limited privacy, so we would not recommend the house for more than two people. That said, we really enjoyed hanging out on the deck with a glass of wine and a good book listening to the birds and watching the jumping fish into the evening until the mossies took over and sent us indoors.

Paradise Indeed !

My sister & i recently had a wonderfully relaxing week at Carrol’s Hideaway in Fisherman’s Paradise. We don’t fish, but looking across the river, birdwatching and reading was the order of the day - and this is a perfect location for our kind of laziness ! Exactly as listed, the Hideaway is very clean and really well presented. We lacked for nothing this week. Fisherman’s Paradise is a sleepy little suburb - nothing there but relaxation and the river. Close to several great little towns with everything you need and want. The local roads are unfortunately very pot-holed at present so do be careful but do not let this put you off a stay. Loved it and recommend it highly. Not suitable for small children of those with mobility problems because of the steep internal stairs but we will certainly stay again.

Beautiful cottage, great location. Clean and beautifully decorated. It has everything you need and more. Had a wonderful relaxing weekend with friends we didn’t leave the property the whole weekend. Will definitely book again.

Tranquil serene cottage perfect getaway.

Beautiful location and cottage. Tastefully decorated and well stocked with quality products .Large deck at back of property overlooking the river with majestic old trees with local birds frequently visiting throughout the day.Just 10 mins to some of the best beaches on the south coast. Host was impeccable and prompt with any queries and more then willing to help out to make the stay experience special.Thank you Carol. Highly recommend

Wonderful little retreat!

Everything you need

The Hideaway was in a very peaceful location. The house had plenty is way of essentials, with the decor and furnishings well thought out. The closet shops was about 15min drive to next town, so not bad at all. It was a great place for my little family to use as a base for our fishing trips. Make sure to use plenty of bug spray, as they love the location as well.

Fantastic getaway

The house was gorgeous, the location was amazing. It was a bit hot in the bedrooms but if you left the fan on during the day and the doors open at night (but with the flyscreen closed) it was quite nice. The only issue we had is that Stayz said checkout was 11am but it actually ended up being 10am instead but Carrol was very understanding about the mix-up.

Lovely house

A lovely little house with a nice vibe. Snug and cute hideaway near the water. Everything at the house was easy to work out and functioned well. A central location and short drive to all the nearby beaches, towns, villages, etc.

Beautiful and peaceful space, lovely host

The hideaway is such a beautiful space, both the house itself and the surrounding area. Falling asleep listening to the birds, frogs and fish leaping out of the water was truly magical. Carrol was an incredible host, she left us a bottle of wine on arrival and made every effort to make our stay incredible. The perfect couples getaway.
