The location of the house is great! However, there is some maintenance that needs to happen. The couches are so stained, I wasn’t comfortable sitting on them so we purchased sheets to cover them. One of the beach towels was put up wet so it was moldy…

Great house

Eleven people, ages 5-78, stayed for four days. Everything we needed was there. We especially enjoyed the two porches. Good location—fairly close to town.

Perfect house for family

This is our second stay at this house. It's perfect for our family of 6 and then some! It's right on the beach so easy access was key for us. It's clean, updated, and so close to everything. We will be back!

Nice getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Azul. The location is great with great views of the gulf! We had great weather enjoying the beach and the deck. We didn’t prepare many meals, but the kitchen is well appointed with everything you need. Plenty of seating to fit a large group.

Fully Stocked and great location!

House was exactly as shown, was fully shocked and so close to everything. Plenty of room for everyone! Will definitely be back!

This house fit our family of eleven so well! Everyone had a comfy place to sleep. The location could not be better. Directly on the beach. The house had so many things for our one year old nephew. It was so great to have things covered. The hosts were welcoming and kind throughout.

Unbeatable location, family trip of a lifetime

This was our second year to stay here for a family vacation over the summer. We asked to check in early for Father’s Day and were allowed to no questions asked. The home was clean and had all the necessities. It even had an upgrade, a small mini fridge for beach drinks was added next to the main kitchen fridge. We will absolutely book this home again. The owner is responsive and nice, and the location is unbeatable. You just walk right out onto the beach.

This house was perfect for a larhe family vacation to the beach. The bedrooms are well-sized and have a good amount of bathrooms. The house has two big fridges so if you'll be doing aot of cooking, it's perfect. They had enough servingware including kids' plates and utensils (though not a lot of plastic cups so you might want to bring your own if kids are coming). The appliances all-worked well and the AC was great. The outdoor shower was clutch when coming in from the beach. We loved the bunk room for the kids, especially because it had its own bathroom with tub so middle of the night potty visits and showed after the beach were easy. A few notes to keep in mind: the living and dining areas are on the smaller side, and all the furniture is outdoor-rated (e.g., metal dining table and chairs, more durable fabric on the two couches). While they functioned just fine, they weren't the most comfortable. The house manager Juan, was really responsive, and we had a great time! The beach is right there with a quick walk over some grass, and the upper deck was perfect for watching the waves or waiting out a quick summer storm before returning to the water. I'd definitely recommend it!

Very nice house!

Very updated and nicely decorated house. The kitchen and living area are smaller than the photos look. The sofa cushions are sunbrella fabric which is great for a beachhouse but they are due for a wash. The beach is right out front. There is no gate at the steps for dogs. We were able to use a couple of ice chests to block this area. A gate that securely closes would be a nice addition for a pet friendly house. Overall a great stay and a very nice house.

Pretty but not transparent

The house is very pretty and well appointed. Plenty of nice dishes and flatware for our group. The extra fees were significant, the list of chores to do more than average - for example, wash all dishes AND put away, and the property said it was pet friendly, charged a pet fee, then included restrictions such as not allowing the pet upstairs. There were two sets of house rules that contradicted each other. We've been renting beach houses for years here and enjoyed many happy times in Galveston. This property is not one we'll come back to because it feels like a property run by an investment group with property management that tries so hard to cover its own assets it treats guests as unwelcome.

Great house. Responsive Mgmt. But Fees are very steep.

Just as advertised, this house is well appointed and decor is very nice. Beds were comfy. Proximity to town cannot be beat. The decks are very nice. They look brand new. And the view of the beach is exceptional and not crowded at all. We had a little bit of trouble with the door lock upon check-in, but manager was available to help. At check-out, after locking up 10 minutes before our check-out time, we tried to get back in for a quick once-over to make sure we had not left anything. -- the lock would not let us back in. I understood that it was on a timer, so the timer clock needs a little adjusting. The only somewhat-major issue we had was the that refrigerator seemed to cool on and off. After reporting it to the manager, a smaller refrigerator was provided. The fees were really much higher than other similar houses I have rented, and I thought that the requirement to unload the dishwasher was unreasonable. If that requirement were dropped, and the fees were brought more in alignment of other similar houses, I might consider renting this again.

Steps to the beach

This beach house is perfectly located. Between the steps to the beach, and a short drive into town, it worked well for our base camp. Plus each of us had our own bathroom. Check in was easy too. Highly recommend!! My only beef was having to strip our beds before we left. I believe the cleaning fee (3 Benjamin’s and 1 grant)(vrbo would not allow me to quote the exact fee!) should cover this easily.

Great stay, unbeatable location

The location to the beach is perfect. Great for little kids because there isn’t any wait from the beach house to the beach. It makes set up/take down of tents, chairs ect very convenient. The fridge wasn’t very cool but a maintenance man came the day we called to fix it and it got much cooler so very responsive property manager. Would rent again.

Great House

We had a really bad experience with a VRBO house a year ago, so we checked in with a little trepidation. Traffic into Galveston was lighter than expected, so we arrived early. No problem, the management team arranged to open up the house for us so we could begin our stay. It's a new house and it was delivered to us clean as a whistle. The Wifi works, the cable TV works, the kitchen is well equipped, the air-conditioning works and best of all the house is literally 50 feet from a no car beach. What's wrong with the house? If I was going to nitpick, I'd ask the architect why they chose to put the light and fan switches for the bathrooms on the outside wall of the space, but that's it really. Oh, the location of the house. It's as close to the end of the Seawall as you can get in a beach front house. No long drives for groceries and ice.
