Property review

The house was as advertised however the pictures were a little dated as the property needed some repairs especially to the floors. The towels for showering were damp however the host George was accommodating

Overall Okay!

We arrived very late after lots of traffic and had a very hard time finding the apartment. The apartment number wasn't in the VRBO email, but it was buried in an email from Evolve. George was very responsive though, even at 1am! The house could use some new bedding and mattresses. It also wasn't obvious that one of the bedrooms is a loft over the living room/kitchen which was a bit of a problem with little kids. Overall our stay was fine, but I don't think I'd want to stay for longer than a quick weekend of skiing. Very close to the mountain, which was nice!

Hi Anne, the homeowners have asked us to share this response: - We replaced the mattresses and linens in mid-March and have received very positive feedback so far. - We are sorry that you had trouble finding the location late at night (it can be quite dark up on the mountain), so we will add details to the check-in message we send guests. We're glad we were able to answer your call and help you locate it. - We will take note that the loft is not clearly defined in the photos and make sure to add that to the listing information. Okay could have been better.

In my opinion the check-in time at 4pm is a little late and check-out at 10am is a little early. Upon arrival the condo was really hot and stuffy. There is no AC in this unit. There is one ceiling fan located in the main front room, onl. The master bedroom was extremely hot at night. The floors were extremely dirty. All of our feet were black. The next day I went out and bought a blue mop to clean the floors properly. That was a bummer but other than that most everything seemed clean.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they would like to share the following: - We have updated our check-in and check-out times in order to give our guests a bit more time at the home, and appreciate your feedback about this. - While it is not typical to have AC in Tahoe, we will look into getting a window unit for the bedroom. The home cools down significantly when the windows are open as it creates a nice breeze. - The floors were cleaned before this guest's arrival and it is possible that smoke or ash from the recent fires may have come through the windows or doors and settled on the floor. That being said, we've passed this feedback onto our cleaning team to ensure that our cleanliness standards continue to be met. We appreciate your feedback so we can continue to improve and help this homeowner provide guests with the 5-star service they are known for. We hope to host you again soon!

Cozy

Cozy little place with a nice kitchen, which had all the basics. Felt like our home away from home. Tenant was quick to respond. (Would recommend a fan for bedrooms downstairs for some air flow for the summer). The fires made it smokey, so leaving windows/doors open were not an option on our trip. Not their fault though. Would stay again and recommend.
