Check in was easy and communication with the staff was excellent. Views from the deck are phenomenal! The house is big and has a lot of nice amenities with plenty of room for 18-20 people. Some of the appliances could use some updating and the carpets need to be cleaned!

Burris family vacation

This was a perfect vacation house , check in was a breeze property owner/ manager were super nice and helpful with everything! This property was setup perfect for a bigger family gathering we had sixteen people ranging in age from 60's all the way down to 5 years of age. If given the opportunity we will definitely stay here again!

This house is big enough for a big family group, however it is dirty.. someone’s left over wine glasses were left on back porch, blankets smell weird, floors do not look clean or the bathrooms. The vibe you get from this house, feels like your staying over at someone’s house that is lived in daily…

Exactly what we wanted

About a year before the April 8, 2024 eclipse we started searching for a house in the path of totality. The Scarlata Family Cabin fit our needs perfectly. There is a long deck with a beautiful view of the White River, suitable for star -gazing under clear skies, bird watching, seeing the planes land at Gaston’s resort and just relaxing. Bulls shoals is near-by with boating and hiking. The trout fishing is world class. The house has a very functional kitchen and is well-equipped. There is a comfortable central seating area and a dining room table that easily fits eight. The outdoor gas grill is located conveniently off the kitchen. The water is hot for showers and the beds are comfortable. The lower level is another spot to play games and watch TV. The laundry room is on the main floor. Upstairs there are 4 beds. The only drawback is no bathroom on that level. Otherwise it’s quiet and restful. We found the house clean and welcoming. Hence it was exactly what we wanted.

Friends get-away

This was a time for us to get together and relax. That was accomplished by reading on the deck, watching the planes take off and land across the river, bird watching (we even had the pleasure of seeing a bald eagle 😊), playing board games and just being together. The house was clean and had more than enough room for everyone. A few things that i would recommend are having wash cloths on hand, putting in a hand rail on the steps to the front door (those of us with bad knees had a little trouble climbing the steps without some support) and maybe consider updating the front door keypad as it wasn't as easy to use as it should have been, especially in the rain. Overall we had a great time and would definitely come back. The view alone is worth it.

Two words - THE VIEW

A beautiful home tucked off the road overlooking the White River. The home has a large kitchen and den area perfect for big family gatherings. We held a Thanksgiving reunion in the home. Comfortable beds and accommodations and one of the best views in Northern Arkansas. Highly recommend this property.

Arkansas Wedding & Fishing

We had a large group; 9 adults and 7 children from our family and stayed there for our daughters wedding and for some trout fishing. The house was perfect for our group as the bedrooms, rec area, kitchen, etc were all great for a group our size. The house has a beautiful view of the White River. Everyone had a fantastic time. The only issue of concern we had was with temperature. The outside temp on two of the days of our stay was over 100 F and the main floor a/c unit could not keep up with demand. It was over 80 F at midnight in the three main floor bedrooms making it difficult to sleep. The upstairs & downstairs bedrooms were very comfortable and the main floor bedrooms were comfortable when the hot spell ended and the outside temp was in the 80's. I would have given this property a "5" if it had a better a/c unit on the main floor.

We booked this house for a multifamily retreat and were NOT disappointed!!

Check-in instructions were clear and easy. The house was immaculate with plenty of room for all of the family. It was secluded and the view of the river and hills was beautiful. We spent one morning watching the fog lift from the river and an afternoon watching the small planes fly in and out of Gaston's resort across the river and the fishing boats navigate the White. It was so much fun for our 4 generation family! The house is just down road to the White River access and also near Bull Shoal's lake. Worth every penny and then some, for the view alone! The host was responsive and was easy to reach. We will be recommending this house to our friends that would like to visit this area and will definitely book again!!

Beautiful view! Wonderful Hostess

we have a group of friends that rent a property at new years, a tradition that has gone on for over 20 years. Its a way for us to unwind and recharge before starting the next year. This property was a perfect spot! The weather was nice enough we spent a lot of time on the deck, enjoying the view. Sandra was wonderful, easily reached and extremely helpful.

Will want to return next year

This is a very nice home, with excellent kitchen and view of the river. Plenty of bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths We had eight adults all in their 70s. Would have liked more chairs available out on the deck. Great open floor plan. The large television in the Great run had FIVE remotes on the coffee table. Which made it very confusing for us seniors. Gravel drive way needs to be graded badly. Difficult to move multiple cars in and out. Our four wheel drive came in handy when using the turn around to back out. The small weber grill was clean and in good shape, but barely adequate in size when grilling for eight adults. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a great vacation. Hope its available when we want to return.
