Quiet relaxing stay. There was empty bottles around fire pit and wash rag left hanging on shower head. Overall clean. Pool is very nice and clean.

relaxing getaway

We had a girls weekend and this property was very comfortable and quiet. We really enjoyed the layout of the house as well as the natural light with all the windows. I only wish we had spent more time in the pool vs in town

Patio of Peace

I 100% recommend this property. My family of four stayed comfortably with plenty of space. The home is newly remodeled, very clean, beautiful inside and out. The patio was a patio of peace the week we were there. The view is outstanding. The owner's communication was fantastic. We had an amazing week and will be back!

Relaxing getaway

The house was clean and had everything we needed. Property management was very responsive. One thing to mention is that the bedroom doors are fully glass, which was fine for my spouse and me, but couples traveling together may want to know that there is limited privacy in the bedrooms.

This was a beautiful place in hill country and perfect for a bachelorette. The pool was clean and relaxing. It is a bit of a drive from town but nothing too crazy (about 18mins). We were able to get Ubers easily. Only thing I would say is some of the sheets on the bed appeared to have stains on them. Also the bedroom to the right is extremely hot. I don’t think AC was working. Luckily I brought a big fan from home.Overall it was great & I would highly recommend!

Chisholm trail ranch house w/pool

Location was stunning with wonderful views. There was a nice breeze all day that made sitting in the shade of the expansive patio a perfect respite from the summer sun. The pool was fantastic!

Perfect house for a medium sized group!

We celebrated a bachelorette party this past weekend and it was absolutely perfect! We had 5 girls stay and we had a great time! This house has an extraordinary view and a great outside patio/pool! The host is very nice and sweet! We had a blast!

Perfect little getaway!

Peaceful….Beautiful….wonderful…location was great…short drive to downtown Fredericksburg…having the pool was a huge plus! Communication with the hosts was super easy….immediate responses when needed! I highly recommend!!!!

Hide away

The property was beautiful! It’s about 15 minutes outside of Main Street and about 20 minutes outside of the wineries. You are smack dab in hill country and it’s beautiful! They have a lot of free roaming cattle which my friends and I loved! We were able to meet/pet a herd of ponies. My only complaint was that the water smelled very fishy and like sulfur! I would definitely stay there again!

The house itself was fine. Plenty of space for 4 people to relax. We chose the house because of the outdoor amenities and they were not in good shape at all. We did not swim in the pool at all because it wasn’t very clean. There is no longer a winery next door (it closed over a year ago so I’d say the listing is pretty outdated). It’s about an 18 minute drive to town for a lot of the other attractions in the area. The road the house was located on is closed from one direction, which we did not know until we were less than .8 of a mile from the house itself and had to drive back to town to get to it from the north. Probably would have chose something else in town if we’d known about all these issues.

Relaxing and beautiful sunsets!

This place was a good getaway from the sounds and sites of city life. The pool was crystal clear and refreshing. The location was wonderful with beautiful surroundings and sunsets! We did not see donkeys or longhorns during our stay but saw deer a couple of times. The property manager was helpful and friendly when I spoke with her.

It was a little disappointing because the pool and outside area look Nothing like the picture. The pool looks dingy, even though it might be clean, but does not look appealing. The outside looks dirty and messy. It is a ranch, far, far away from everything and it is peaceful, but a little scary. I wish it would say that it's a ranch and there is nothing around there. The inside was nice, but they definitely need a comfortable sofa. We went for a women's friends vacay, but was uncomfortable to sit in living room and chat. They have a TV in the living room, but no plug.. 🤦🏻‍♀️. Other than that,it was good. Comfy beds, nice showers and nice kitchen

Peaceful and quiet

Our family enjoyed this lovely trendy ranch. Things we loved……location, close enough to take a short ride into town and far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle. Animals and nature, the longhorns were beautiful, and the deer were plentiful my goodness they were everywhere! We saw fox, and a porcupine. We fed some friendly donkeys and we walked down by the creek. It was all beautiful. The house was immaculately clean and the style was a hit for our trendy 18 yo 23 yo daughters. Beds were very comfortable. Outlets for all of our electronics were hard to figure out but we worked it out. The outside sitting area by the pool was a very nice place to gather sit and drink coffee. The view is grand it’s is peaceful and quiet.

Annual Girls Trip

We stayed here for our annual girls trip - in fact, this was our 24th year of our gathering. We're used to all sorts of places and this one, while ok, wasn't our favorite. First of all, it was super duper hot in one of the bedrooms and the wall unit wasn't enough to cool it down really all weekend. The swing chairs on the patio were all broken and there were wasps that had made nests inside the piping where they were broken. There wasn't a hammock as shown, so without those two chairs we didn't have enough places for all of us. Thankfully we had brought camp chairs and used them outside the entire time. We knew based on previous reviews and the listing that there wasn't a living room space, but I think we were hoping to be able to find at least one space to gather, indoors or outdoors. There just wasn't enough seating to have a comfortable space to gather for 7 adult women. We would have loved if there were some pool floaties or pool towels to enjoy outside. The view was gorgeous, the breeze was lovely the entire weekend, and the star gazing was amazing. The bedrooms were spacious and the bathrooms were good too (although there should be a light over the mirror in the bedroom to the left). Overall though, we felt enough small details were off that it won't be a place we return to in the future. If your group is smaller than 7 people, you very well could have a lovely time here.

Weekend Review

We had a good time in Fredericksburg, however, I do have a few suggestions/concerns for this property. First, the listing says there is a washer and dryer onsite and we couldn’t find either on the property. Second, the listing states there is a BBQ grill for use. However, the grill hookups for the gas side do not work. They are broken and rusted really bad. The charcoal side is so dirty and needs to be cleaned, but there is no grill brush to clean it. Therefore, we couldn’t use the grill. The biggest problem we had was that the bedroom (the one with no attached bathroom) was soooo hot it was almost unbearable. The ac unit in that room isn’t even close to big enough to cool that room down. The room has floor to ceiling windows on three walls so in the heat of the Texas summer the small ac in that room doesn’t even come close to cooling it down. Two of our guests had to sleep in the living room because that room was so hot. I definitely would suggest either getting a bigger unit or getting a second unit for that room. I think the ac unit was the biggest issue and should definitely be fixed for future guests. Thank you!

Great Stay

We had a great stay at this property. First of all the home is even more beautiful in person. It’s seems newly renovated with high end finishes and elegant decor. The beds were cozy with high quality linens. Lastly, we enjoyed the peaceful view as we played in the swimming pool. Great Stay!

Relaxing family getaway

Our family of 4 came here for a getaway and to enjoy the scenery. The house was perfect for us and we appreciated the layout having bedrooms at opposite ends. The numerous windows were a bonus! We wish the pool would've been heated so we could've enjoyed it, but it wasn't. My girls appreciated the donkeys, longhorns, and deer right outside.
