We wanted to keep our 4yo and newborn close by while at Aftershock. This place was spacious enough and had everything you could need. The on-site playground was great so no one was bored. It was also close enough to stores that stroller rides for quick errands were possible.

Everything about this home was perfect for our stay. The area was a quiet clean neighborhood within easy walking distance to restaurants and a fabulous grocery store (Corti Brothers). The art and decor was amazing, the record player and records was an enjoyable touch, and the thoughtful touches (pancake mix, popcorn, travel toothpaste/toothbrushes, laundry pods, electric tea kettle and many more) were unexpected but a pleasant surprise. The beds were very comfortable. The host was quick to reply and easy to communicate with. We’d definitely stay again.

Great place to stay!

Stayed here for a long weekend to visit family in the area, hosts were great communicators and friendly. Place was nice and clean and exactly how it was described, I would definitely stay here again in on another visit!

Incredible home in East Sacramento!

We had an incredible stay at this location! Everything that was said about the house was 100% accurate andmore! The location was perfect. The beds were incredible. The home was amazing. The amenities were perfect. We have a 3 1/2 year-old daughter who had an absolute blast! My wife and I felt completely at home at this location! We would highly recommend staying here to anyone and everyone! On top of it all they were beyond accommodating to our needs! 10/10!!!

We were very pleased with our stay. The area is safe & conveniently close to many wonderful local restaurants as well as downtown parks & many other interesting landmarks. The area is easy to navigate by car or on foot. The VRBO was perfect. It was very clean, quiet & comfortable. The hosts are friendly & welcoming.

Terrific Vacation Rental

Highly enjoyed and appreciated this stay. Beautiful rental house, everything you could ask for. Very comfortable beds and pillows for sleeping. Great neighbourhood for walking or running - we felt very safe. Some terrific restaurants very close by. Honestly, cannot say enough about this as a choice for a short term stay. Proprietors have done a wonderful job at thinking about meeting the needs of guests. If we ever return to the area I would stay here again without hesitation.

Absolutely superb!!

The accommodations were more than adequate, clean and well supplied. Our hosts made sure we had the basic necessities for our stay, and several pleasantries we weren’t expecting! (We really appreciated the Keurig and Kcups). Quiet neighborhood, located centrally, so getting around was easy. Thank you so much for making our stay in Sacramento so pleasant!

Quintessential VRBO

For us this was the perfect place to visit our loved ones. The neighborhood is quaint with young families and it's perfectly quaint and quiet. A perfect place to walk. Coffee shops, eateries and of course Trader Joes nearby. The VRBO is well appointed in every regard. Not a detail has been overlooked.The Family on the property, in the front house are excellent hosts if you need them or if you want to be left alone they completely understand that nuance as well. It was truly a a slice of Americana~ we found our place to stay, feel safe and see our son from time to time.

Absolutely superb!

The accommodations were spot on for our family of four. Ample closet space so we could unpack and feel like we were at home. Plenty of linens and basic supplies, an appropriately stocked kitchen and an unexpected but much appreciated K-cup supply for the Keurig. Very clean home inside and out and our girls enjoyed the on-site playground. The location is perfect too. Barely a 10 minute drive to downtown and easy access to the Farmers Market on Saturday. Getting to Old Sacramento was a straight shot too. Lots of stuff for adults and children in Sacramento. Easy access to Freeways also, 45 minutes to an hour to get to San Francisco and Folsom. Our hosts were phenomenal and super friendly. Next time we’re in the area, this will definitely be our first choice for accommodations!

I needed a space to stay, cook and feed our kids band

I had to try and find a location, close to my daughters marching band competition, at Sacramento State University. I was in charge of feeding the whole band. This property listing looked great for our needs and it was. The property is really clean, super well stocked and the art and finishes are amazing!! We cooked for 200+ during our stay but I am already working on planning my next trip to stay at this location. We were there to cook for the masses of band students. But this location is perfect for every need possible. Being conscious of the owners noise level was important to me. I hope & plan to stay at this VRBO location many more times in the future!

Perfection! A functional and beautifully designed space

Location/Access: not difficult to park in Sacramento so this house + a rental car was ideal. Seamless in & out driveway parking to be able to visit downtown area, trendy restaurants, & UC Davis Medical Center (our trip purpose.) There is also a McDonalds, grocery, and the nicest Starbucks I have ever been to (with drive/thru) within 1-2 blocks. Cleanliness: Spotless Owners: Just the right amount of communication and offered full privacy despite our expected shared use of back yard, sent detailed website with restaurant suggestions, check-in & parking instructions etc, emailed within days of reserving which assured me the booking was valid Safety: we felt very safe sheltered behind the house and gate and in the driveway at night Operations: Everything worked, temp good & easily controllable, appliances, excellent water pressure  Entertainment: Great living space and speaker system that was easy to access through Wifi. selection of games in the front hall closet. Discussing family member’s reactions to the varietal art pieces was fun too, as I can rarely get my family to a museum these days. I absolutely loved the art collection, which included many original works. Quaint dining/sitting area in beautiful CA weather behind the house. What you can’t see from pictures: House has very high (12-13 foot?) vaulted ceiling. The layout is excellent, halls aren’t cramped, bedrooms feel spacious without being over-sized. Owners had a back up of everything, which was so helpful. We used a toothbrush, salt, laundry pods, paper towels, hair dryer, & garlic salt. Note: was concerned about past renter review noting no window treatments towards owner house in living area based on previous stay but there were shades so must have been remedied. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The perfect place!

We recently went to Sacramento for a race. This house was very close to that venue and settled in a cute and safe feeling neighborhood. Also, walking distance or very short drive to dining and shopping! The house was extremely clean, comfortable and beautiful. It was equipped with everything you would need! The hosts were delightful! If we make it back to Sacramento this is most definitely where we will stay!

I would have given this property 10 stars if I could! It was spotless, beautifully decorated and very quiet. The hosts were readily available for questions. They left us snacks and several bottles of cold water - a special treat since it was over 100 degrees! I highly recommend this comfortable home.

Cleanest Rental

This rental was by far the cleanest rental we have stayed in. It could be because it is new construction/renovation or the hosts are neatniks which I wholeheartedly appreciate. The hosts of this property are friendly and communicative. Instructions for the property are easy to follow and nicely categorize on their link they send in the welcome text. I wish there had been window treatments of some sort in the living area and kitchen because we felt we were on display when we turned the lights on in these rooms because the host's house is directly across from the rental property. The rental property is situated in the backyard of the host's permanent dwelling. I missed or didn't pay close attention when I booked this rental. Parking for this rental is shared with the hosts in their driveway. It was nice to have off street parking. To enter the rental you must walk through a gate that leads into the host's backyard. It felt intrusive to us. This rental gave us the sense of booking a room in a Bed & Breakfast without the breakfast because we felt like we were guests in their home even though the rental is separate from the host's house. The rental is decked out with artwork and everyone has a different preference for art. I have a creative teen who is artistic and visual. That said, if my teen had been younger, say 5-7 years younger I would have had an issue on my hands with my child being frightened with some of the displayed art. My child would have been scared and it would have been a problem I would have had to deal with during our stay. My child is older and the artwork still caused a reaction inside of my kiddo where the eye needed to be diverted from some of it. This rental has lots of love behind it as you can see from the details that have gone into bringing it to fruition. It looks like something right out of Fixer Upper. All (I)s have been dotted and all (T)s have been crossed. Lastly, if it matters to some, and I think it will, there is no television in the common space (living room and kitchen). There are TVs in each of the bedrooms. Both bedrooms have black-out shades and decorated curtains. I would give this rental property a 10 out of 10 if it weren't for the lack of window treatments in the living room/kitchen and some of the artwork.

Wonderful property in calm neighbourhood

My husband, our three adult children and I stayed for just under a week at this lovely house in a very quiet and pretty residential neighbourhood of Sacramento. The house was immaculate and beautifully decorated, and we were very impressed with all the extra amenities, like tea, coffee, snacks and toiletries. The only drawback we felt was the outside area, as the patio and garden are shared with the (very friendly) family. The weather wasn’t great so it didn’t matter too much, but we wouldn’t have felt comfortable sitting at the garden table if it had been warmer. Apart from that, a really lovely house.

Wonderful place to stay!

My family absolutely loved staying here. It is even better than the photos!! We HIGHLY recommend staying; it is modern and comfortable. We had a 1-year old with us and everything was set up and available as needed. We greatly appreciated all the baby items like a pack and play, changing pad, diaper disposal bag, wipes crib sheet in the pack and play, high chair, dishes, etc. The snacks in pantry, water in refrigerator and lots of cozy towels were the cherry on top to us. So many extra amenities were wonderful during our travels. We can't wait to be back!
