Joanne’s on the Lake is a cozy, newly renovated lakefront cottage set on peaceful farmland along beautiful Quennell Lake in Cedar, just outside Nanaimo. Tucked away on a quiet, no-through road, it’s an ideal getaway for couples and families looking to relax and explore South Vancouver Island.
The bright, open-concept cottage comfortably sleeps 4–6 guests, with two queen bedrooms and a pull-out sofa in the living area. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washer and dryer, air conditioning, in-ceiling speakers, and a 75-inch TV. Step बाहर onto the spacious deck—perfect for morning coffee or evening BBQs overlooking the lake.
Embrace lake life with your private dock—perfect for swimming, paddling, or simply unwinding on the water. Quennell Lake is well known for its bass fishing, especially in spring and summer. Bring your paddleboard, kayak, or other water gear, and launch small boats just minutes away. End your day gathered around the custom fire pit under the stars.
Nature surrounds you here, with nearby farms and opportunities to meet and feed friendly goats, pigs, and chickens on the property. There are also great hiking trails close by for those wanting to explore.
Conveniently located, Joanne’s is just 15 minutes from Nanaimo Airport (YCD) and the Duke Point ferry terminal, 25 minutes from Departure Bay, and only 10 minutes to grocery stores, restaurants, and local amenities. For trips to the mainland, the Hullo ferry offers a quick 70-minute walk-on ride to downtown Vancouver.
