LOCATION – 3 blocks north of Main Street in the Historic District
HOSTS – Home to Yourselves
SLEEPS – Up to 6 people; two king bedrooms & one bedroom with 2 twins
BATH – 2 full baths; one en suite bath with walk-in shower & a second bath with a tub/shower combo
KITCHEN – Fully equipped kitchen with a traditional coffeemaker
BREAKFAST – No breakfast provided
AMENITIES – SMART TV with ROKU (no television programming), WiFi, large dining room table, deck with outdoor seating, walking distance to shops, festivals, restaurants, tasting rooms and art galleries

CHILDREN – YES
SMOKING – NO
PETS – YES (Limit 2 dogs under 20 lbs each)
WIFI – YES

Please be aware that up to two dogs that each weigh 20 lbs or less are allowed at the house. However, there is an additional fee of $44/dog/night (before tax). Due to the fact that HomeAway/VRBO does not allow us to charge for more than one dog at the time of booking, please let us know if you will be bringing more than one dog, so that we can make sure that you are charged the correct amount. If you bring more than one dog and do not let us know, you will be charged accordingly. Furthermore, please bring crates for your dogs and crate them in your absence from the house, do not allow the dogs on furniture or beds, and pick up and properly dispose of their waste. If these rules are not followed, there will be an additional $200 charge added to your reservation.

Please be aware that the house does not have any live television or paid television programming. As a result, if you are wanting to watch anything on the home's TV, you will need to bring your log in information for your Netflix, television provider, etc. accounts.

House Rules as Required by the City of Fredericksburg's Short Term Rental Ordinance
- Observe the City of Fredericksburg Quiet Hours (10pm to 7am in residential zones). No music of any kind after 10 pm.
- The City of Fredericksburg is a Dark Sky Community with outdoor lighting restrictions. All outdoor lighting is encouraged to be turned off when no one is present to use the light.
- Observe the designated on-site and off-site parking spaces.
- Place all trash in designated containers.

The home was perfectly as advertised. Walking distance to main. Nestled in a very quiet, historic neighborhood. Comfortable rooms with quaint kitchen and bath accommodations. HEB in nearby so q quick stop for dinner and breakfast groceries allowed us to enjoy the house prior to exploring town. Excellent parking and very secure.

Pros: Very close to main and in a cute neighborhood. Communication was good from property management. Cons: House was dirty and poorly kept up. When we got there all the windows were unlocked. I happened to notice as they weren’t open but definitely a safety issue. AC never kept up and it was humid inside, plumbing is ancient, lights on stairs didn’t work.

Very clean. Easy walk to Main Street. Older home with very thin walls. Bring a fan or sound machine to cancel noise. The coffee machine dud not work

Perfect Location

Can’t get any better location within walking distance of Main Street. Adorable neighborhood, quiet, peaceful, low traffic. House had everything we needed and impeccably clean, comfortable and open, airy. Host immediately responded, but no need to contact as everything was perfectly explained. Love Fredericksburg and people.

Great stay in a comfy cottage

We very much enjoyed our weekend siblings' getaway in Red Star! The home was clean, comfortable, and a perfect home base for us over the weekend. It's an easy walk to Main Street, which made getting around very easy. We'd definitely recommend staying at Red Star and would stay her again!

Fantastic Visit to Fredericksburg!

The Red Star Guest House was everything we hoped it would be. We were within walking distance of Main Street. The house was just as cute as the pictures had indicated and included everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. Checking in and out was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again!

Family Weekend Getaway

This was a perfect home for a family getaway. We had six adults and a dog. It was walking distance to downtown. Loved the patio deck for sitting around in the evening with a glass of wine.

Such a nice getaway

We stayed with my parents (80+ years) and teen son. The location and amenities were suitable for all age ranges. The house was very clean and comfortable. Thanks for a great place to stay for a few days.

Recommendation of the Red Star Guest House

Red Star Guest house is very nice. LOTS of Hot water for all of us. Walking distance to the main street attractions. Plenty of parking off of the street. We all enjoyed the game board decorations. We all though the beds were comfortable. One review mentioned the dishwasher wasn't working, but it worked great for us. Our main purpose for the trip was to relax and explore the Enchanted Rock. We accomplished our purpose and more.... I highly recommend the Red Star Guest House.

Very nice

Pluses: Nice place. Ideal location, just a short 2-3 block walk to the center of downtown. Comfortable beds Minor complaint - the place is a bit dated but for a short trip this was not a problem. Also, the dishwasher didn’t work.
