Charming Cottage in the Heart of Napier

Pet friendly! Beautifully appointed and charming two bedroom cottage with summertime sleepout. Well located in picturesque Bluff Hill, just minutes from both Napier city centre and the vibrant Ahuriri scene. A full kitchen complete with all you need to cook or just hang out. Unlimited fast wifi, instant and endless gas hot water, and dedicated work space in the office/second bedroom.

Please note that pets must be included in booking and preapproval required. Just drop a note with your booking request telling me what kind of dog you have (dogs are not allowed on furniture are left in the cottage unattended (unless crated).

Contactless check-in option and super-clean with 100% cotton linens.

The home is only used for short-term rentals and a thorough clean is performed after each stay. A perfect situation for traveling workers as you have a full kitchen (No need to eat out but an abundance of outstanding restaurants within walking distance). Groceries can be delivered from local grocery stores as well as several takeaways via uber.

The home is well suited to work from as the second bedroom (which has a twin bed) has a large desk, good lighting, and comfortable office chair. This room has a nice large window with lots of natural light and efficient radiator heat. Fiber optic Wi-Fi makes streaming and zoom effortless.

The master bedroom is luxurious and spacious with a queen size bed made up with high thread count, 100% cotton bedding and fluffy down duvet (electric blanket is supplied in the winter months). A large sash window opens for light and fresh air, while floor to ceiling thermal and block-out drapes create a cozy night in.

Enjoy our sunny Hawke’s Bay days outside on the private, two-tiered decking and patio outdoor living area furnished with a 4 seater table and undercover lounge chairs.

Truly a home away from home, there is a washing machine and outdoor, covered clothesline and a friendly host nearby to assist in any way!

The Workers Cottage is part of Milton Manors, a boutique collection of pet friendly accommodation located in popular Bluff Hill - within walking distance to Napier City and vibrant Ahuriri. Please inquire as to our other houses if you have a large group to accommodate as we have a total of three offerings all within eyesight of each other!

Milton Manor - Perfect for family of 4

I absolutely loved staying here. We came up for the art deco weekend and it was the perfect location. Super happy with the area and the house itself. The property manager was super lovely and helpful. Will definitely stay again😊

Cosy, comfortable and everything you need.

Loved staying at the workers cottage on a wet weekend in Napier. Warm and welcoming, centrally located and with everything and more that you could want. Loved the comfy beds and underfloor heating in the bathroom. Thanks, we will be back!

Perfect for us

I loved the whole setup, especially the outdoor bbedroon amd toilet. Clean and tidy. Had everything we needed, amd would highly recommend this place. Mary was pleasant and nice to talk to.

Thought of everything

We stayed at this lovely Bluff Hill property in September 2022. We had a lovely time and Mary had thought of everything we could possibly need during our stay. It was a genuine home away from home.

Absolutely charming property. It was immaculately clean, so very comfortable, and had everything we could have ever needed. The listing is 100% accurate. Its a beautiful cottage inside and out. We would stay again in a hearbeat.

An old gem

Great spot with easy access to Ahuriri ansd over the hlkl to the city centre. A quivk drive to the Botanocal Gardens. Mary wasvery helpful and obliging when we were caught out by Cyclone Gabrielle and need an extra two nights accommodation.

Perfect!

A lovely, well-appointed, impeccably clean little house in a very pretty neighborhood. You don’t feel like a tourist, and get to hear the birds from the lush landscape surrounding the house. It’s situated up a hill a bit, but is still a quick walk to everything a visitor would want to see. Mary was a great host and checked on us and helped us with info while we were there and in a very timely manner. We highly recommend, and the house would be very comfortable for a longer stay. Thank you, Mary!

Cottage in Comfort

The hill is a rabbit warren of lovely old buildings which just make you want to see inside. This cottage has the old world glamour with the modern makeover inside which makes staying there a joy. We had a wonderful dinner with friends sitting outside with the sun going down. Memories to treasure.

Walking

Was nice to be able to get up in the mornings walk down and along the water front to a cafe for breakfast well my baby went to sleep in pram. As well as our dog getting excise too. The street the cottage is on isn't built for a pram and cars parked on the foot path, so you'll have to be skilled at driving your baby pram haha!
