Beautiful, peaceful spot in Pasadena!

We loved our stay at this apartment. The space is in a quiet neighborhood, above a garage, so we took many walks in the neighborhood and loved the peaceful feel. We had our 10-month old baby with us, and we could easily fit her portable crib in the bedroom and let her play and crawl around in the living room. No laundry in the unit, but we appreciated the fully equipped kitchen, which had everything needed to cook and make morning coffee.If you stay here: Highly recommend walking to Garfield Park for outside time, or walking to Union Bakery for a pasty! The street parking pass was easy to purchase at the police station a few blocks away. Thanks to the owners for creating this lovely space.

quiet & comfortable

This is our third stay in this property. It is extremely well equipped, quiet, and convenient.Our only difficulty was that the television reception was unacceptable. There seems to be very unstable notwork support so it constantly froze.

location was 10plus, response from management 10 however the property was disappointing with dirty floors, rugs and cabinets.kitchen table was slanted as leafs were not correctly installed. Pots and pans were not usuable so we purchased two as well as a spatula. Dishes had caked on food. We have been Home Away and Verbo customers for years. We have rented many times including out of the country. Our stay was to see a new granddaughter and have family time at the vrbo. We will be coming a few times a year and hoped to return to one property but we will not return to this one. With a little TLC this property would be onderful. Its a shame!

Great Location - Home needs improvements

Location of the property was excellent, but the home needed some repairs, improvements. No heat in main front room or kitchen. Bedroom heat was minimal.We were using several blankets to sit and keep warm at night. Sofa was awful and needs to be replaced. Left shower door does not open. There were many items stored in the main bedroom closet which left no room for our shoes and little room to hang our clothes and jackets.needs to be replaced

Nice place, old but in a good way

The place is nice, clean and quiet. Bed was comfy and the kitchen works well. Great neighborhood . The listing needs to be clear about where it is as we couldn't find it at night and had to call the host. Also the sprinklers are a real nuisance in the morning. You can't get around them. Overall a nice stay, would use it again.

Cozy and clean for only 2

Only recommend if you plan on staying here with just 2 people. Pro: Easy check-in, clean, basic amenities, close to shopping and freeways Con: Can get very hot in the summer. AC units only in bedroom and kitchen, sleeper sofa mattress is worn down. We could not sleep on it because the padding is completely worn down.

Great location.

Nice house in a quiet suburban neighborhood. Walking distance to restaurants. Only a ten minute drive to the Pasadena Convention Center where I was attending an event.

Nice neighborhood - hard to find

Apartment is located behind a house. It was dark until lights turn on as apt in back of house. Lots of steps up to apt. The house in front was also rented and they parked in drive. Made it hard to get around to back. Also the irrigation sprinklers were on in -morning and you had to get wet to get around cars in drive. it was cold when I visited. The windows did not shut out the cold air. Had to turn on heat to counter act the cold through windows. Easy enter and leaving. Nice safe neighborhood. Easy check in and out

Very nice garage apt .

Very nice! I don't know if I'll go in the summer, as it does get hot without central air, Oct was still hot but the bedroom had a window air, so that was good, and very comfortable. We will stay again though, in winter or fall. We loved it..

Very good but with some caveats

Overall this place is great - it is clean, charming, well laid out, good size, well stocked, and a wonderful location. Checkin was quite easy once you figure out which of the main houses on the road the back house is situated behind. It's not fun poking around people's driveway's looking to see if their backhouse has its own address, especially at night. Additionally, it's worth noting that there is no dishwasher in the kitchen, and there is no AC in the main living room. There are AC units in the kitchen and the bedroom, so sleeping was comfortable, but even with a fan setup from the kitchen to the living room there were days during out stay that it was so hot we could not spend time in the living room, which certainly was not ideal. Also worth noting that the parking situation in South Pass is a bit annoying. You need to buy a new parking pass every 3 days, and PRINT a new pass for your car each time. Most people of course are not traveling to a VRBO with a printer, and there is not one in the unit (that we could find, anyway), so having to track down a FedEx office upon arrival was a bit stressful. But, all that aside, it was still a wonderful stay that we really enjoyed. The bed is very comfortable!

Familar but Imperfect

We continued to enjoy staying at this property as we had exactly a year ago. It is spacious, quiet and in an excellent location to shop and to my daughter's house. Unfortunately this time there was a glitch. It was a period of cold nights, and we discovered on arrival that the haring system was not working.. We called the management company immediately, and although a few space heaters were made available, it was uncomfortable to watch television or be anywhere but in bed. The management were responsive, but unable to fix the system, so there was an addition day's delay before a technician came to repair the pilot light. I did contact the owners directly but they were out of the country. so had to depend on their local contact. Eventually, by the thrid day, everything was working.

Adorable upstairs apartment

This property was wonderful. Couldn't pick a better location. I run, and enjoyed running from the property - nice neighborhoods to see & seemed very safe. Grocery stores & coffee shops conveniently located. The apartment was very clean & comfortable, aside from a disappointing fold-out bed. That was minor though & I'd definitely return.
