Stylish Gastown Loft w/ Soaker Tub & Fireplace

Hipspace rentals presents this custom designed loft with the perfect mix of elegance and comfortability: ideal for a couple's retreat, a family visit, or a business trip. It's 1200 sq ft (120 sq metres) of unique space right in the centre of Gastown Vancouver. Our brick and beam loft has been completely restored with every modern convenience. 20 ft ceilings (6 meters) hardwood floors, marble counter tops, king sized bed, queen sized bed, soaker tub, and a relaxing steam room are some of the luxury finishes.

The suite is close to many great shops, and attractions as well as Rogers Arena, BC Place, Vancouver Convention Centre, the Sea Bus, and the Skytrain to the airport. We are located in the entertainment district so there are acclaimed restaurants and bars all around us and weekends can get noisy from the street and music in the area.

Other details to note:

Depending on the season, we may not approve booking requests that leave a one night vacancy before or after the request. Please inquire about 2-night bookings. Minimum 4-night bookings are required during the Christmas/New Years holiday, unless approved otherwise.

The unit is located on the second floor - there is no elevator.
The loft stairs inside the suite are steep and open. Not recommended for younger or unattended children, or people with mobility challenges.

If you require a pack and play, we have one that must be reserved in advance and is based on availability.

One off-site secure underground parking spot is included with this rental. The spot is located in a separate building 4 short blocks away. Detailed instructions are provided in your guest guide upon booking.

Pets are not allowed unless authorized by the owner prior to check in. Service animals are only permitted when assisting someone with a disability.

**It is better to send an inquiry rather than a booking request if you have any questions, or have not read our details thoroughly**

This is an old building with high ceilings. Our AC and fans allow for some cooling and circulation, which provides comfort during the summer months. Cooling below 24 C (78F) during the hottest weather periods can be challenging. If you require cooler temperatures you may want to consider alternative accommodations.

Only registered guests are allowed on the premise without permission; children must always be supervised. Unregistered guests my be evicted and fined.
Changing/removing cables from AV equipment is prohibited; a rewiring fee may be incurred. No candles of any kind! $250 charge for lost parking FOB.
Late check-outs (not pre-arranged) will incur a $60 per hour fee, min one hour. A $30 fee is charged for lost items that we return mail to guests.

This place is luxe! I am a Premier Host as well and I got some ideas for my vacation rental i.e. eye masks in a sachet bag, presto log for the wood stove, etc. I took full advantage of the soaker tub, steam bath, wood stove, etc. I would stay here again as long as I wasn't having to lug around my training supply cart and big sports bag full of easels, flipchart paper, training manuals lol. That wasn't great up the flight of stairs but I still knew all of that in advance as the hosts fully outline the lay of the land including the "tricky parking" which is a 9 minute walk away. Anyway I am almost looking for an excuse to get back to Vancouver so I can stay here again.

Very stylish accommodations right in Gastown. Your hosts are super attentive and helpful. You are within walking distance of lots of bars, restaurants and shopping. This place is ideal for people looking for a cool weekend getaway for food & drink and shopping. Lots of people have commented on the stairs. They’re no joke. Very cool spiral stair case to the loft bedroom. If mobility is an issue for you this might not be the place for you. Everything you could need for is provided for your stay. Your hosts have thought of everything. About the location…it is very close to people experiencing homelessness and addiction issues. At no point did I or anyone staying with us feel unsafe or concerned. It is worth mentioning because it is a shocking scene just a few blocks away. This is in no way a knock on the hosts, it is just worth mentioning in the review so potential guests are aware and don’t slight the hosts. As mentioned, no one in our group felt unsafe, but this location may not be for everybody. All in all a super cool, super fun location. Lots of food choices and bars within walking distance. The accommodations are modern and clean against a historical backdrop. Very chic and hip. Potential guests couldn’t ask for better hosts. Very attentive and communicative. We had a great time! All Good except construction noise.

Beautiful, clean, well-supplied apartment. Nice light from the windows. The neighborhood is a little dicey, but that didn't bother us.

Very Enjoyable Stay in Gastown

We were impressed with the size and spaciousness. We had everything we needed to prepare our meals and rest up for our next day’s activities. The locations was good, especially being close to a grocery store and the Gastown sites.

Impressive loft right by restaurants and shopping. In an historic building that’s been refurbished with amazing design details throughout. Hosts were incredibly communicative and very helpful. Would stay here again.

Totally worth it!

I would absolutely encourage anyone to stay here. I’ll do it again in a heart beat.Great location in Gastown. The space was clean, easy instructions, spacious, and cozy.Our host was great about responding in a timely manner. Communication was great. Everything I read was 100% accurate and delightful. I read previous reviews and was aware of the bar below. We were honestly excited about that so we didn’t have to travel far for drinks. The bar is fun, the people are awesome, and the food is pretty decent. Live music on the weekends which I was told has some variety. We went on a night that had brass instruments and oldies; it was awesome. It does get a bit noisy and you can hear it inside but if you close the window, it’s just fine. Reviews about homelessness are true but not close to the building. It is heavy in town. We encountered some but nothing made it undesirable, nor did anyone really bother us when standing outside or walking around even at night. All in all well worth the experience, price and time. Stay here!

Eddie and Marv are brothers who originated in California, then moved to Vancouver, Canada, when they were young. Both love Vancouver, but always longed for their California roots. So they decided to enjoy the best of both worlds. And also a new one. The pair own, design and renovate special spaces in Vancouver, San Diego and Las Vegas. They make it their lifestyle to travel in between the homes, to constantly improve them, and share them with others.

Eddie is a snowboarder, rock climber, and sax player. Marv is an avid golfer, vegan, and sport enthusiast. Both Eddie and Marv have traveled all over the world.
