Spent two nights at The Porpoise House, had a wonderful time! Our host John was most welcoming, texting us info and in communication if we had any questions or concerns. Simple coded entry, comfy beds, lots of towels and soaps and things. One block from the beach, can see the waves from house, we thoroughly enjoyed the location. Would definitely rent again, quiet neighborhood, all the amenities in the kitchen, two bathrooms. It worked out perfectly for us!

Amazing location, great accommodations and atmosphere. The beach was great for fishing straight out, and for swimming. Just a short walk up the beach gets better for playing.

Pics are slightly different than the that of the actual interior. Had a pest control issue that we reported to property management and they’re taking care of it. HVAC worked well. Overall stay was good.

Great location well kept house

House was in great condition. Clean, smelled good and no musty smell (not always the case in beach rental). Owner John was easy to reach and took care of things well. House is in great location 2nd row from beach. Lots of games and things for kids to play with/watch when not at beach.

Great Experience

We had such a blast on Saturday with the St.Patrick’s Day parade. The house was cozy and very clean. It had everything we needed and the best part was that all the televisions worked which was extremely convenient. The house was a dream and me and my daughter really enjoyed our stay!

Great location. They’ve done a good job of putting things back together after Hurricane Beryl. Comfortable, relaxing place. Host was very easy to work with. Thank you for a nice stay!

Loved the ramp

We picked this home for our elderly in laws who can walk up stairs so this ramp was very helpful with them. The house is a little dated. The view was beautiful

Lovely stay!

I would honestly give this property a 4.5, if I could. The only problems that I had were that the check in instructions were incorrect, but when I called guest services, it was quickly resolved. My other issue is that this property needs a larger hot water heater. No one could take a shower without the hot water running out. The property was very clean and we felt that the kitchen was qell stocked.

Perfect for older guest with mobility issues. Ramp was a life saver. Well furnished for comfortable lounging, kitchen well stocked. Deck in front perfect for watching waves, ships inbound, surfers. Ample parking. Loved it. Will return in 25.

Cozy bungalow

Nothing fancy, but clean, affordable, and adequately equipped. Very responsive manager. House stays cool but multiple fans and small air conditioners are noisy. Needs more space to put away clothes; main room has locks on closet and 1/3 of dresser. 2nd room has no dresser and small musty closet filled with supplies. Ramp great; need key to back door to avoid using stairs. Washer/dryer handy. Not recommended to drink the water.

Beach getaway

We arrived to a clean house with all fans and air conditioners on so the house was very comfortable temperature wise. The house cooled to our satisfaction with the ceiling fans. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a book or just listening to the waves in the evenings or at night.

Things I would like to have known prior to renting

Very limited hot water. Also, water quality was poor. A water filter perhaps could have provided better water. The main light over the sink in the main bath did not work and the handyman was unable to fix because part of it was broken. So, I used a lamp

It was everything we were looking forward to and more. Great location, very convenient. Only thing I would be picky about is the outdoor lights on the floor level. Once it got dark we had to use what we had because it was impossible to see using the outdoor lights. Other than that would definitely stay again.

Family Spring Break Trip to the Beach!

Before we arrived, we got a call that the A/C had gone out in the bunk bed bedroom, but they said it would be replaced the next day, which did not happen the whole time we where there. Thank goodness the weather was cold and we did not need the A/C while we were there. One of the bunk beds did not have clean sheets, an empty water bottle and wash cloth was left in the sheets. The other bunk bed did not have sheets at all. Finally the water heater did not last long while taking showers. With that said, we did have great time and enjoyed the beach house, beach and surrounding area. The family had a great time, despite the weather being cold and windy while we were there.

The house was clean. But all the air conditioners in the house quit working and it got up to 81 and we were told it would be after our check out date before they would look at them. The floors around the walls are sagging and unstable. You could sit under the house and see someone above walking through the house. Because the floor would sag under them. Only one of the 3 tvs worked in the house. We had to replace all the lights because they were out.

Great Access with Ramp!

We had a great stay. Two Grandmothers with grandchildren 8-9 years old and a small pup. A few friends and family came out for the day. -The house was charming and very clean with three (2nd row) views of the ocean waves! ❤️- The new ACUnits were great! ❤️ -Very close to beach in backyard, however, rocks are along Beach Drive in back and it was High Tide. We entered onto beach by driving to the end of Beach Drive and Texas. It was safe and had a big beach for kids swimming and playing, and crab catching as sun went down. Lots of fun! ❤️-The kitchen is beautiful and new! A few more bowls would be nice. Only one.❤️-The rooms were nice with great tvs. ❤️-Baths big and accommodating but a little remodeling still needed. -It rained hard with lighting one evening. There is no awning over door with code box which was very hard to enter code on a wet entry box with lighting and getting soaking wet. That should be remedy for safety reasons. 😔-The dinning room window would not shut completely on one corner with a hole and rattled loud in strong winds. 😞-The house has only a very limited amount of bedding, pillows very very thin, no extra linens, one blanket and no pillows for pull out sofa bed. That was not accommodating!😞We would rent again if the few things were fixed! Again the ramp was awesome for carrying items in and out especially with a wagon! A few friends had walking issues and it was wonderful for them! ❤️

Sub par stay

This stay was subpar! We came in late and no lights on to see! Had to fight with lock boxes to get it open to go inside, but this was not that big of a deal! The big deal was inside! House was poorly stocked with dishes! Worse was the kitchen had crumbs from some kind of food on counter, a piece of cat/dog on floor, and a wrapper from a breakfast sandwich left out from someone’s breakfast that morning! On top of that was the bedrooms! Both had no bedding on! Each had the bed sheets wrapped in tape sitting on bed for US to put on! Unimaginable you would have to guess put on its own bedding! To make that worse was the bed spreads and comforts piled in the corner or at the foot of the bed and they did not look like they were cleaned! TV in living roomed worked but TV in bedroom did not! House had no water filter and water had a pretty strong metal smell! Positives is the ramp was very handy and house was cozy for a cold raining day, as well as had no leaks!

Quaint Cottage by the beach

Lovely location. Beautiful views. Homey touches all around. Evolve neglected to send the access code to enter the property and our point of contact was unavailable the first night of stay which lead us to a near by hotel. Once we made a few more phone calls we were in and worth the wait.
