Summary:

Relax in Hawai is the perfect place to sit back and relax, Crank up the fire and enjoy the views of the lake or just a Hop,skip and jump across the road to dip your toes in the beautiful lake Taupo or quench your thirst with the best pizza in town at the 2 mile bay sailing center.

Just a 30 minute walk or 7 minute drive or ride a scooter into Taupo town center for all your shopping needs. A short drive to the famous DeBretts hot pools

Spend your time in Taupo creating memories of a lifetime,



The Space:

We provide luxurious linen and towels which sets the standard for our guests to have a great stay in our home. One bedroom and the bathroom on the same level as the living area along with a single bed and trundle bed in the separate area of the lounge This can be closed off with the bi-fold doors. Upstairs on the romantic mezzanine is a spacious room with a queen bed. There is a wood fire in the lounge for those cosy nights in. The kitchen is well equipped with tea, coffee, milk and condiments for your use.

The lounge opens out to a sunny patio perfect to enjoy a wine or beer overlooking the lake.

Free Wifi TV and a kayak for guest use, plus a full laundry with washing machine in the garage.



Guest Access:

Parking for 2 cars , bikes, jet ski or your lake toys of choice in the garage.

Close to the 2 mile bay boat ramp.

Entire house & garden to yourself. It is a shared driveway.

Other Things to Note:

Other things to note

Rotorua is only one hours drive and Hawkes Bay within 1.5 hours drive for a day of sightseeing and for the active traveller the Ski field and Tongariro crossing is an 1 hour drive. The Glowworm Caves are also 2 hours drive and Hobbiton 1.5 hours making Taupo the heart of the North Island and the perfect place to stay and explore from.



Interaction with Guests:

We like to give our guests their privacy but Kerry is available by phone or text to answer any questions and we are only ever 10-15 minutes drive away if needed in an emergency.

Great location and house

Super cute little bach with everything we needed. It’s in a great spot and was clean and safe. The view and outdoor furniture was a great bonus, I’d definitely stay here again. A note for light sleepers: the house is very creaky but this didn’t really bother us.

House was clean and neat; we had no trouble finding it. Location was a short drive from many good restaurants and a mini golf course. Spiral staircase would be no problem for the young but would be difficult for the less agile. Washer yes but no dryer [clothesline yes]. All in all a nice stay.

Comfortable stay in Taupo

Lovely house, so clean and tidy when we got there, it was great not to have to worry about linen and towels ! everything was there, lovely view of the lake - and we even had fireworks on last night there (boat club just down on the lake certainly makes a noise !) but was a great location, only 5 minutes drive from Taupo centre. Would definiately stay again !

Classic comfy Lockwood

Easy to get to, everything we needed with plenty of comfy seating and a cosy feel. When we arrived the sun was out and we had all the doors and windows open and it was lovely. We did have a disturbed night though as the wind got up and the house rattled and groaned. Be warned that the shower is pretty weak, but you can still wash ok. We would definitely go back, in fact, we are going back.

Great view over Lake Taupo

A couple of faults - no handrail on steps to enter property. Fine for most people but for others with mobility issues, made it a bit more difficult. Spiral staircase to upstairs bedroom meant having to leave luggage downstairs and reduced accessibility. Otherwise, property was well provisioned and very comfortable. Particularly enjoyed the sun room. Would have been lovely on the front deck but for the cold wind the night we stayed. Also great to be able to do a load of washing.

Little house with an amazing view

We were 3 cousins staying in this amazing house. We were so comfortable and felt safe. The house and bedding were clean and fresh. The agent was great to deal with. I will definitely book with you again.....and stay longer. Thanks a million

Perfect location

This house was perfect for our stay and the location was excellent. We visited the two mile sailing club three times while we were there as it was such a short walk 😀 House was clean and tidy, and fitted our family comfortably. It was awesome having linens and towels provided as we were traveling with an infant and already had a lot of stuff! Communication was excellent with the property managers and we experienced no issues during our stay.
