Comfortable and well located

The property had all we needed for a comfortable stay. We experienced no issues and look forward to staying here again in the future. The host was very prompt to respond whenever we had any questions.

Needs updating

We chose this location as it was close to where we needed to be on Long Island. Be aware however if you aren’t from this area you should know it isn’t close to Central Park as written. The house definitely needs updating throughout. It wasn’t in the best repair however the water was hot and the AC worked beautifully! If you can’t climb stairs be aware that there are no bathrooms on the main floor so it isn’t elderly friendly. The stairs are very steep. While it certainly wasn’t a 5 star property by any means it met our needs. With a little updating and TLC it could be so much more.

The property was in a great location for our needs. The house had eveything you needed. The heating system was set to a timer, but once you figured it out it was fine. The cleanliness was acceptable for an old house. All was good. we gihured

Nice neighborhood, convenient location

Got dropped off at the H-Mart from the airport and did my shopping and then walked over, as the host mentioned it was within walking distance and they were right! Super convenient. Well laid out, thoughtful instructions, everything was super easy. Ideal location for a couple of adults to stay to attend a convention. Also, there are workspaces in both of the bedrooms, which was a nice touch.

Overall okay

Great area, good air conditioning equipment and tv's etc. The basement has the 2nd washroom, water didn't work except for the shower so hopefully that gets fixed soon. WiFi password on the modem was old so I had to contact to obtain the actual password, hopefully that also gets updated. Some of the towels had stains on them which is not a problem to me since I brought my own, but my brother was using it so that was a little disappointing too. Otherwise I'd say it was a great stay for the price and amount of time we were there!

Family visit for Wedding shower

This property was as described in the listing and though definitely not the newest house around, it definitely shows that efforts have been made to make it very hospitable for the modern traveler. The wifi speed was even better than what my geeky husband has at home & the kitchen had all the modern conveniences. Though a little tight, the upstairs bathroom has beautiful accents that elevate the space. There are artistic style choices throughout that made the property feel like a stylish home and enhanced our stay. We didn't have the opportunity to enjoy all the home had to offer as our trip was pretty short and very busy with family events in town, but the exercise equipment and extremely cozy looking recliners in the basement made it look very inviting. The welcome book was very detailed & helpful and the host had very reasonable & minimal requests for check out. We would definitely recommend this property and stay here again .

Extended Stay

Overall this was a good place for us because of proximity to where we needed to be for the time we were there. There are a few things I would suggest First a fresh coat of paint throughout. It looked like it was just painted randomly. Second a little more attention to detail on cleanliness. We noticed mold on the ceiling in the upstairs bathroom, splatters on the walls in the kitchen that hadn't been wiped up or cleaned off. Overall, it could use some updating, but like i said it met our purposes for this trip but not sure I would pick this place the next time.

Great Location, But Needs Better Cleaning and Upkeep

I stayed at this property in Jericho, NY from July 3rd to July 6th. The location was definitely a plus—easy to find from the highway and situated in a clean, safe, and quiet neighborhood.The house itself was spacious and had potential, but unfortunately, the level of cleanliness left much to be desired. While surface areas appeared tidy at first glance, a closer look revealed that the home could really benefit from a more thorough, deep cleaning. Dust in corners, worn linens, and an overall musty smell—especially in the basement—gave the impression that upkeep isn’t a top priority.The home also shows signs of age and could use a few updates throughout. For example, the upstairs bathroom lacked a curtain or shade on the window, which is a clear privacy concern. The basement room was particularly uncomfortable—stuffy, with outdated and worn furniture that made it feel uninviting.Parking was another issue. While there is a designated space in front, a large tree has grown into the area, making it difficult to park without partially blocking the sidewalk.While the house served its basic purpose and I appreciated the size and location, I was disappointed in the overall condition and cleanliness. I would consider renting it again only if other options were unavailable.

Not What I Ecpected!

The place was unclean, terrible perfume odors on linens and towels. Very unkept. Dirty utensils,stained and pubic hair on bedding. Very embarrassing to have my adult guests stay with us. Misleading info and photos on VRBO. Floors were not swept. Black mold in basement bathroom. Clogged bathroom sink. This home should be renovated before being a rental property. Dirty clothes under bed in drawers. Medical equipment left out. Back door knob loose, did not feel safe. Photos were taken

Terrible Experience – Unsafe, Dirty, and Poorly Maintained

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this property. The condition of the rental was unacceptable, and the lack of responsiveness from the host made it worse.The property was in disrepair. There was visible mold on the walls, a strong odor of rats and cockroaches, and rat droppings in the corners of the living room. As a parent of two small children with severe allergies, this was alarming. I had to hire professional cleaners to clean the property before we could stay.The issues didn’t stop there. The bed sheets were filthy, with visible hair, and it was clear they hadn’t been cleaned or replaced after the previous guests. The bathroom was unhygienic, with no heating or proper amenities, and both the bedroom and bathroom doors couldn’t lock, compromising privacy and safety. The windows were old and provided no insulation or privacy.The exterior was just as bad—snow and ice on the staircase were left unattended, creating a safety hazard. The heating system was inadequate, leaving the property cold and uncomfortable. The basement was smelly and completely uninhabitable. The only mirror in the house was a small one inside a closet door, which was useless. Even the closet itself was disgusting, with mold inside.To make matters worse, the host provided little to no customer service, ignoring or dismissing questions. For the high price I paid, I expected a clean, safe, and well-maintained space, but this was far from it.
