- Your safety matters. This property features 4 exterior Ring security cameras. Camera 1 is located at the front door facing outward, camera 2 is located on the attached storage shed facing the driveway, camera 3 is located on the back of the shed facing the rear side of the house, and camera 4 is located on the left side of the house facing the home’s utility connections. These cameras do not look into any interior spaces. The cameras record video and sound when activated by motion

Perfect getaway for 4 (plus our puppy)

We had a wonderful experience staying at this beautiful home. It had everything you could imagine. the kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens we have ever had. The back screened in porch was a great place to hang out and play games by the gas fire pit. We were fortunate to get some snow during our stay which made our kids and puppy very happy! The layout of the whole Chinquapin community was very accessible via walking. We enjoyed the putt putt, driving range, and the pickle ball courts and taking long walks around the neighborhood. The house is located just a short jaunt down a very curvy road to get to the nearest grocery store (Ingles) or some really delicious restaurants. But, it had really pretty views so the drive was nice. I can't say enough about how comfortable the place was. The best part were the very comfy beds. We had the best nights sleep!

Beautiful home and neighborhood

We enjoyed our stay at Shelby Chalet. The home was comfortable and well equipped. The Evolve team was easy to work with and were very prompt when we had a problem with the keyless entry.

Great Cabin!

Well equipped cabin with everything you need. Clean and good sized for our family of 4 plus wife's step-dad visiting from out of town. Loved the fireplace that was able to quickly warm the place up and create a nice scene for relaxing after a hike to the waterfalls. Would rent this cabin again.

Great place to stay for small family

My wife and I stayed with our 2-year old and it was the perfect size. It is a very well-appointed house, with all the amenities we could ask for. It may be the best pound-for-pound rental I have ever stayed in. Highly recommend!

Incredible!!

This was one of the best equipped cabins I have ever stayed in! The hosts and the property manager were wonderful to correspond with and no detail was overlooked in this beautiful home! My friend and I enjoyed the back porch and the kitchen (which has everything you can think of!) the most! Everything was so clean , comfy, and organized! We felt very safe in the community and enjoyed the trails on our morning walks. Would definitely love to stay again if we come back to the area!

Beautiful, well-equipped cabin in Chinquapin, a fantastic neighborhood near Cashiers, Highlands and Sapphire. House was in great shape, with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Walkable to central amenity in Chinquapin; lots of great trails and things to do in Chinquapin.

Perfect Mountain Stay!

We had a wonderful vacation once again at this perfect mountain cottage. Situated in an ideal location, it is easy to get to town for groceries and restaurants, but once back up the hill the peace and quiet prevails. There are numerous trails for all abilities without leaving the property, including several with beautiful waterfalls. For those that want to expand their hiking, Panthertown Valley is minutes away on the same road. The house is well equipped with one of the best kitchen small appliance selections I have ever seen. It has a great screen porch and if the weather doesn’t cooperate there are lovely, big windows looking out on the peaceful woods. We had a great, relaxing stay filled with a perfect mix of walks in the woods and book reading. We will definitely be back!

Another great cabin in chinquapin

Perfectly appointed rental cabin had everything needed for a wonderful week in the mountains. Propane fire pit in screened porch, gas fireplace in living room, everything you can want or need in kitchen. Loved the loft with full desk setup ( for those workaholics) and a walking trial right in backyard. Comfortable beds, blankets, awesome wine and coffee bar, cool music system - and close to all the amenities -outpost clubhouse, driving range, bbq area, putt putt etc. Great stay. Wi-Fi PW even made us watch Steel Magnolia - wonderful.

Lovely mountain getaway

Our family had a wonderful long weekend here. Shelby Chalet has everything you could need and is efficiently laid out. Thoughtfully furnished with comfortable beds. Proximity to hiking trails is great, and Cashiers is just a short drive away for shopping and other essentials. Highlands is not too far either. We enjoyed Whitewater Falls and a slightly longer hike to Wilderness Falls. As the other reviews have mentioned, the kitchen is well-stocked with labels for everything and includes kid-friendly plates, bowls, and cups. The outdoor fire pit on the screened-in porch is a nice touch and there are fans in every room to help with air flow and temperature control. All brand new appliances in great working condition. Laundry upstairs is convenient to the main bedroom and en suite. Our son enjoyed playing with the games provided as well. Would be a lovely spot to work remotely if needed, as the desk provided is large and each room has views of the lush forest and trails surrounding the property. We were fortunate to visit near the peak of fall colors and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!

Beautiful new home in nice community

Can’t say enough good things about this property. Everything seems brand new and very good quality. All the little touches are covered. Basic items are all provided, and everything is easy to use. We loved the community. It’s a quiet, newer high end gated area and includes a lot of amenities if you’re interested. It is a short winding drive from cashiers, but well worth it.

Great place!

We had a wonderful time. House was very clean and kitchen was very well stocked and everything was labeled so well. My kids loved the putt putt area and walking trails. Would definitely stay here again!

The Total Package

Our family does a lot of travel and staying in rental homes. This place was top notch in every way. There was absolutely no details that were not thought of! The beds / linens were all comfortable, the home layout is very functional, there was nothing lacking. The back porch is a relaxing oasis. There is total privacy, while the proximity to the neighborhood amenities is perfect and walkable. This place has my complete recommendation!

Awesome rental

The house was extremely well stocked and organized with everything you could need. It was very clean and comfortable as well. Loved the screened in porch with gas fire pit overlooking a wooded area. The location is ideal, quiet yet close to all Chinquapin has to offer. The hosts are easy to contact and we appreciated the hospitality snacks they left for us. We will definitely return.

Awesome getaway!

We stayed at Shelby Chalet for a quick Father’s Day getaway with our kids. The place was brand new, super clean, and had everything you could ever need for your stay. The back porch was amazing! We spent a lot of time out there. The neighborhood amenities were above and beyond. Proximity to trails, waterfalls, Lake Grenville, and Highlands/Cashiers was great. 10/10 for this great mountain house!!
