Covered outdoor living area connected to deck overlooking waterfall & creek with seating & dining area, 48" TV and ceiling fan. Nestled beneath Sheepcliff mountain, this charming and private two bedroom, two bath, two story cottage in the Lancewood community of Cashiers, NC will be your relaxing home away from home. Two acres of hiking trails and your own private waterfall and creek located off your living room and deck. Located within walking distance of the Cashiers Crossroads, Farmer’s Market, Buck’s Coffee Shop, The Village Green and dozens of restaurants and shops in the village of Cashiers. Ingles grocery shopping one mile away. Open your windows to the sounds of the waterfall and creek crashing just steps away from your home. Hike across the wooden bridge while exploring over two acres of trails and the creek. Two story lay out allows for separation if desired (downstairs is great area for kids with bedroom, full bath and den with TV) The 600sf partially covered deck overlooking the waterfall and creek is the perfect spot for reading, napping, football watching, family cook outs, game playing and quality “down time” after a day of hiking, shopping, skiing, sightseeing and waterfall hunting across the Plateau.

Entry level: Living room, kitchen, dining area, master bedroom, full bath, balcony & partially covered deck overlooking waterfall & creek.

Downstairs level: Den, guest bedroom, full bathroom, patio over looking waterfall & creek.

Outdoor area: Fire pit, waterfall, creek, 2 acres of woods/trails, large partially covered deck with grill, dining table, sitting area, ceiling fan and TV.

The cottage was great and in a very good location close to town. The outdoor space and setting with creek is really nice. Space is maximized with a den, bedroom, and bathroom on each floor. I hope to have an opportunity to visit again.

Absolutely exquisite and charming cottage. The attention to detail and cleanliness of the home, the views, the location were exceptional. The hosts were so friendly and communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. We travel frequently and this was by far one of the best vacation rentals we’ve seen. Property is very welll styled and comfy.. lots of extras in the kitchen that I didn’t have to buy.. the landscaping is beautiful and the location in the creek is just magical. View is terrific and the large porch is amazing. Totally recommend

Cashiers creek stay

This property is a gem! Can walk from house to town through some woods (trail clearly marked) and on logging trail which leads to road into town. Nice big deck, shaded most of the day. We will be back!

Absolutely perfect!

Only had a couple of days away, but this was the ideal cottage. Nestled in the woods, but close to town, and everything was just picturesque! The owners were also so accommodating and helpful! Cannot wait to come back again for a longer stay!

Beautiful Creek

We enjoyed the cottage and the outdoor space with fire pit next to creek. Private area with paths on other side of bridge, We would stay here on a return trip in the future.

The quintessential Mountain retreat

Such a great place! listening to the waterfall, sitting on the huge deck, looking out on the immaculate Landscaping was a Serene break from our everyday busy lives. Our kids had an absolute blast catching crawfish in the creek & roasting marshmallows on the beautiful fire pit. A+++++

Beautiful backyard with creek

The cabin is walking distance to the quaint town of Cashiers, but you would not know because of how quiet it is sitting by the creek. The owner Patch was wonderful to work with and even had a welcome basket when we arrived. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful cottage, amazing location with a small hike to the city center of Cashiers. We had an absolute ball! The cottage has its own fire pit where we roasted marshmallows and very open waterfall. We can’t wait to return!

Tranquility near the falls

Patch was a very welcoming host! If you’re looking for a relaxing, beautiful cottage with the sounds of a babbling creek, this is the place for you! The cottage was charming and surrounded by nature! Wonderful cottage

The rental experience could not have been smoother. Patch was a wonderful host, and the property was the perfect mix of secluded but also convenient. The cottage is very cozy and the outdoor space is really exceptional. We’ll definitely be back!

A wonderful mountain retreat!

We made a quick escape from the heat and found a bit of heaven! The cabin, the deck, landscaped patio, waterfall, creek.. all of it was just perfect! The cabin was very well appointed and very accurately represented by the VRBO listing. Patch was a generous host and we look forward to returning soon!!!

Spectacular home

Spacious home with huge decks, nestled in a beautiful forested area. They though of everything when landscaping and the inside so that guests literally had everything they needed for a great stay. The large forested area makes A great place for dogs .

Absolutely beautiful!

We had such an amazing stay! The property was exactly as described! The view is absolutely breathtaking and the house is very clean! Patch was very great to work with and was very accommodating! We had such a relaxing and fun time! We can’t wait to go back!

The cottage was exactly as depicted in the description. The owner was extremely responsive and friendly. The setting was like a storybook-very comfortable and conveniently located to Cashiers and the Highlands. Would definitely book again.

When you drive up and walk towards the back "yard" area you will see why we fell in love with this property. Peaceful, beautiful, natural and location, location, location. Feel like you are miles away from town when actually an easy half mile walk in to town.
