Girl Scout trip

We had a great time, house is located close to beaches and eating. Lots of room to spread out. Loved being on the marina for kayaking.

Clean and Beautiful Area

Beautiful area and out of the main traffic areas. House was clean and a perfect size for 8 adults, a teen and a 4 year old. Would definitely stay there again if I was visiting the area.

Senior prom getaway for kids

It was a nice relaxing weekend. Good fishing off the dock, foosball was fun. Wish I could find a pair of the Adirondack Chairs, they were awesome.We will book here again for sure.

Great for family get away

Lots of room, glass enclosed balcony overlooking the canal, waterfront dock were all beautiful. We had a lovely experience meeting the neighbor who is the author of Royal Pelican Tales children’s books. And watching her interact with the star of the book Henry and all of his pelican friends.

We're pretty easy to please with rentals and have used Vrbo many times including the Galveston area. This house could be amazing but a lot of small things definitely took away from the experience and gave a more neglected feel.Some examples include peeling paint, a LOT of hair covering all 3 walls of the shower, the water filter in refrigerator was 99% overdo from being replaced, and the outdoor sink to clean fish had a coating that was peeling so badly I would not want to use it (just remove the coating).

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. There were 4 guys on a 2 day guided fishing trip. The first night when we arrived, we fished off the dock and caught a bunch of fish. There were dock lights installed so we could fish after dark. Plenty of outdoor furniture for enjoying the back yard. A charcoal grill was provided so we grilled steaks one night. The fishing guide was able to pick us up at our dock each morning. There is also a cleaning station with running water. Very convenient for fishermen. The interior was comfortable but a little dated. Several of the light bulbs were burned out. Plenty of bath towels but no wash cloths. Very quiet area and close to restaurants and grocery store. There is one bedroom down on the 1st floor, and 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor where the kitchen and living room are located. We had a great trip and will probably return in the future.

Wonderful Stay

We rented the home for my bachelor party. We had an amazing time. The communication was really good. Our reservation was for the weekend right after Hurricane Beryl hit the island. We were nervous that we would have to cancel the trip since most of the island was still without power, including this home (we drove over and checked). The owner stayed in communication with us and we decided to move forward with the trip. As providence would have it, the power came back on less than an hour after we checked in and stayed on all weekend. We caught fish off the back dock, and had everything we needed all weekend. Highly recommend! Thanks for a wonderful time!

The overall experience was satisfactory at best. Access to downtown was also good however, there are several discrepancies which we had never before experienced at a Galveston rental location. The home was not very well maintained nor well cleaned. We noticed a few roaches and roach droppings which indicated lack of attention to details. Secondly, several of the light lamps lacked access to pwr outlets and a few overhead lights did not function. The ceiling fans were especially dirty. We will return to Galveston but will likely see another location.

Pictures didn’t match the house and did not feel like it had been cleaned. Needed a bathtub (as in the pictures), but house no longer has a tub. Host was gracious to let us leave early, but we left after 1 day instead of the 4 planned.

Very nice with good layout and comforts, the dock is a Plus and enjoyable as well as the deck areas.Definitely would get a better service for the bugs, perhaps take a moment for a full treatment between seasons or better, long gaps in clients to treat deeply.Overall still Great Place!
