The host was very responsive during our entire stay. The house was perfect for our family Christmas. Plenty of room for everyone and the neighborhood was great for walking. Thankful this is a pet friendly rental!

Baseball trip

We stayed for a wood bat tournament. We needed the space because so many were traveling with us. It was clean and comfortable and the neighbors were wonderful!

New Year's on Harker's Island

Our extended family of 9 enjoyed being in the house and appreciated all of the space. There were a couple of things that needed to be addressed, but the owner communicated with us immediately & these were taken care of.With some cosmetic updates this property would be a 5.

Mixed bag

Nice big house that needs a little bit of attention. Seemed to be an insect problem with roaches in the basement bathroom and basemt bedroom as well as the kitchen. Tv didn't work in the basement, only 1 pool stick that was workable,and 1 ping pong ball with worn out paddles. No dressers or tables in any of the bedrooms to set your suitcase or clothes in. Needs furniture in basement to sit while playing the table games. Handle fell off shower basement. Bedrooms need more lights, very dim. Could be a really nice place. kitchen.bedroom

Great stay

Great house, very clean and great location. Close to a community pool, fishing, dock area. Plenty of room, ping-pong table, pool table and dart board. 3 huge bathrooms, 4 huge bed rooms. Plenty of space for everyone. Kitchen was well stocked with pans and dishes, linens and a large laundry room. Bottom floor was great, was not worried about getting sand in the house. All in all I would totally stay there again. It was a great location. Just a block away from a convince store, gas station and little seafood restaurant. Surprisingly the restaurant was very good. One of those little hole in the wall places that surprise you. Great stay....

Harkers Island getaway

House was great, weather not on our side, had to fight to get approval for pool usage, overall it was a getaway for family from our of town.

The house itself is beautiful and spacious, 3 floors of beauty... definitely comfortable for our party of 12! The hammock was a great place to unwind! The fire pit and pool table need a little attention. We cooked most meals and had everything we needed! The smoke detector is in an awkward place as it went off anytime the oven door opened but everything else is great.... dining table is awesome it's just the bar stools seem to be made for kids, kinda small! The balcony off the 2nd floor was also awesome with lights and chairs for relaxing. Having 3 full bathrooms also a plus with a large family lol the balcony off the 3rd floor bedroom was also great however some wasps have made it their home too so we didn't go out there but a couple times. We had great weather and really enjoyed our time! I just wanted to be clear, we really like this place and highly recommend staying here, I'm just pointing out things I noticed. If I rented my house out to people I'd want honest and helpful comments! Thank you for sharing your place! It is truly beautiful and decorated very nice! I didn't usually sleep well in a bed that isn't mine but the king in the 3rd floor bedroom was awesome! I also loved how the driveway goes around the back of the house for easy unloading and loading...an added feeling of safety!

Family get-away

Nice home in a nice quiet neighborhood. Great communication with owner. Home had everything needed for a nice family vacation. Pool table, ping-pong and darts in the game room saved the day on a wet and windy trip.

Beautiful place! Helpful property owner!

This house is beautiful and very clean. The back yard looked so nice with a fire pit and chairs, hammock. Unfortunately, we were there during a little tropical weather so we didn’t spend any time there. We had a little problem with the door code and the owner/property manager got in touch with us right away! We were inside within minutes. There was a lovely bottle of wine waiting for us. The power went out in the early hours Saturday morning for a bit but there was a storm and I was just surprised it didn’t go out sooner listening to that wind. The owner communicated with us to let us know when it was expected to come back on. It didn’t bother us at all. The house stayed nice and cool and there are plenty of windows for light. This was a really nice place to just hang out because several of our tours/plans were cancelled due to weather. We rode around sightseeing and went to great restaurants. This is a friendly community…..we will definitely return. The host also gave us some great ideas and advice for our next visit. We use VRBO quite a bit and his communication and concern is really one of the best experiences we’ve had. Thank you!

The house was gorgeous and spacious. The bedroom in the garage was a little hot, but overall fantastic stay. 7 adults and 4 kids..there was room for all. We will be coming back when we go back with the family again! Close by a few stores. Not far from the ferry service. Location was fantastic. Neighborhood was nice and quiet, we felt safe. Price was great also. Definitely recommend.

Greeted with a bottle of wine and salt water air! What a way to start the week. Very spacious home with walking distance access to the beach access, marina or pool. Lots of options to get your feet wet! Convenient location on the island with many welcoming neighbors!

Great Experience

The house was beautiful and well supplied. There was plenty of space for my large crew (4 adults and 9 kids) and there was plenty of extra floor space downstairs for air mattresses if needed. The house was walking distance to the pool and was a couple minute drive to a small pier for fishing (we caught multiple pigfish, croaker, and 2 eels). The host was very quick to respond to emails during our stay. I would love to cone and stay again sometime.
