The Longhouse | Heated Pool | Hot Tub

LOCATION - 18 miles north of Main Street near Willow City, Texas
HOSTS - Quiet, private home to yourselves. There is a caretaker that lives near by.
SLEEPS - Up to 10 people in 5 bedrooms; 2 king bedrooms & 3 queen bedrooms
BATH - 5.5 baths; All bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with walk-in showers. Two of the bathrooms have tubs.
KITCHEN - Fully-equipped kitchen w/ a traditional coffeemaker
BREAKFAST - None; coffee & tea provided
AMENITIES - 85” & 43” flat screen Smart TVs w/ Satellite TV, heated infinity pool (85 degrees during cooler weather), hot tub (heated from 7-11pm), accordion patio doors that open up to the large outdoor patio with a dining table & TV, comfy outdoor seating around a gas firepit, gas grill, gas flat iron grill, outdoor shower, astro turf lawn off the back patio, wine bar area in living area, laundry room with a washer/dryer, (indoor fire place is currently unavailable), VIEWS for miles, wonderful stargazing and wildlife watching

This property is mostly off the grid with solar & wind.

The home is pet friendly and will accept dogs. However, there is a pet fee of $38/dog/night. Due to the fact that HomeAway/VRBO does not allow us to charge for more than one dog at the time of booking, please let us know if you will be bringing more than one dog, so that we can make sure that you are charged the correct amount. If you bring more than one dog and do not let us know, you will be charged accordingly. Furthermore, please bring crates for your dogs and crate them in your absence from the house, do not allow the dogs on furniture or beds, do not allow the dogs in the pool, and pick up and properly dispose of their waste. If these rules are not followed, there will be an additional $200 charge added to your reservation.

Please be aware that the house has security cameras:
- Ring doorbell on the front door facing the driveway.
- Two cameras facing the patio/pool area.
- One camera in the garage and another facing the garage driveway

Fantastic Stay at the Longhouse

The house had plenty of room for our family of 10 to spread out and relax. The Common areas were very spacious, and the biggest convenience of all was that every bedroom had its own bathroom. This large house is perfect for a relaxing getaway for any large group. The pool was fabulous, and the outdoor grilling area came in handy for cooking large meals. Our dog really appreciated the outdoor turf areas to do her business, and our Golden Retriever had plenty of places to chill. Fredericksburg was only a 20 minute drive for groceries, shopping and eating good German food.

Exactly what we were looking for!

Everything we were looking for in our vacation was found during our stay at the Long House. Peaceful, private, comfortable, spacious, amazing views and close to shopping in Fredericksburg. Highly recommend!

Brothers weekend

My husband and brothers and wives all get away each year for a few days. This house was perfect for all of us. The kitchen is amazing and the outside area in back is a great spot to eat and just hand out. Very nice house

Peaceful Retreat

This home was perfect! Very spacious, well-stocked, and prepared for guests! The caretaker was attentive without being intrusive, and everything went very well. The pool was private and similar to that of a resort, and the star-gazing was unbelievable! I cannot imagine a more perfect vacation.

Great Home for the weekend with Friends

The house was better than expected. The owner was great and very helpful. We loved everything about the house. There were no issues during our stay. The house is amazing and the views from the front and back yard are great. We plan on staying there again for our next get together.

Wonderful

This house is great! It was very clean and well stocked. The pool and outdoor space is why we stayed here. We ate almost every meal outside. Even in the heat of summer the outdoor space was cool enough to be in all the time. The house is very updated with technology throughout that will really enhance your stay. There is a big instruction manual about the house, you’ll definitely want to read it. We hope to make this house a yearly trip.

Great place to kick off summer!

We had 8 adults and 3 dogs on this trip. This property exceeded all expectations and is simply gorgeous. All 5 bedrooms are spacious with en-suite bathrooms. The great room is huge and has detailed wood work everywhere. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you could possibly need. There was coffee, condiments, and loads of spices. Paper products were well stocked with no need to bring or buy extras. We spent most of our time at the beautiful pool and spacious patio. Also enjoyed the Pickleball court and the grill and outdoor griddle. We hope to visit again soon.

Family Getaway

House was amazing! Clean, spacious, well stocked, great amenities, and home has some very nice finishes. Large family from San Antonio and San Diego had a great time making memories. We enjoyed the layout of the home and how every guest had a full size bathroom attached to their room. We spent a majority of our time enjoying the awesome pool/outdoor patio and in the great room. On-site caretakers we’re helpful and responsive. We did lose water the last night and through check out due to well pump going out, we were offered a comp day on future booking which was very thoughtful and appreciated. We definitely recommend this property and are looking forward to our future booking !

Simply put...it's paradise

This was our first time staying, but it won't be the last! We kept saying that if we had a house like Longhouse, we would never leave. It truly is paradise! My family always meets in the hill country for the July 4th holiday to relax, catch up & eat. The on site caretakers were awesome. They checked the pool half way to make sure everything stayed clean for us during our visit (they texted before coming over to make sure it was a convenient time). Although they were onsite, you would never know they were there. They were very quick to respond to any questions we had. The house was immaculate. I have never stayed at a rental house where there wasn't some dirt or grease in the kitchen, but Longhouse will surpass any expectation you may have for a rental. Each bedroom has a full bathroom which made for evening showers very easy. The linens were very clean & the beds very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked. We spent most of our days out by the pool visiting. We enjoyed the pickle ball court as well. The pictures just don't do it justice, because Longhouse is even better in person. The consensus of our group was to book it again for 2025. We hope we can continue enjoying Longhouse for many years!
