This adorable cottage was spacious inside, purposeful in its layout and thoughtfully decorated. The kitchen was top notch with everything you could ever need for cooking for small or large crowds. Instructions were detailed and thorough for check in and out. Communication with the host was perfect with very timely responses. They were more than accommodating and we felt very welcome in their home. We travelled with adults and children and everyone enjoyed their stay! The back yard was great for yard games and for putting in our paddle boards, as well as sitting around the fire in the evenings. The ferry was super close for a trip to Aurora’s Fossil Museum. The Quarterdeck is also a very quick trip for ice cream! Great Hosts, super fun weekend!!

Expensive and super clean wide open Cottage sufficient for six ladies

This was our third day for what has become our annual girls retreat getaway. We love the wide open space both indoors and outside. We swam in the lake and enjoyed the very long, super sturdy dock with fishing on the end of the pier. Nikki and Joe have thought of everything. Even a place to wash your fishing gear at the end of the pier. The home is extremely well stocked and you won’t need for anything. The refrigerator even has an awesome coffee pod Maker. And plenty of cooking implement for anything you could possibly imagine. I’m always impressed by the high-quality towels, bedsheets, dishware, plastic storage and glass storage items. They have thought of everything. Lastly, we thoroughly enjoyed playing games in the beautiful glass in rear porch or swinging on the lovely swing in that porch area also. We will be back here after here as this is our favorite home away from home each autumn. Thanks for another wonderful day.!!

Expansive inside. Fabulous Water & Sunsets for Ladies Annual week

Arriving at Adlee Cottage is always a breath of calmness and fresh air. We were amazed the first time we came here three years ago to find this little COTTAGE! When you open the front door, it reveals a large, expansive, flowing, wide open floor plan that gracefully guides you through a large living room, with seats aplenty (comfortable chairs and sofas) straight through to the wide open glassed in sunroom with a full-size swing sofa/bed and large dining table for game-playing and meals. We love that there are two very large bedrooms on the ground floor: one with an extra large king bedroom opening to the glassed in four season porch that has full wide views of the sparkling Pamlico River out front. There is a large open kitchen with a wonderful Center Island that we six ladies love to gather around as we chat and prepare meals together in the fully equipped kitchen!! Even a huge array of coffee pots, and a refrigerator that makes excellent coffee! The owners have provided everything including lots of coffee selections and the needed storage items and cooking utensils. I can tell you how much we love this because this is our third year going back for our annual girls trip. There’s plenty of room upstairs as well as there are an additional four queen size beds sharing a bath as well as a dressing room. There’s even a fifth bedroom with a cute twin size bed that kids would just love hiding out in the home is so tastefully decorated yet not overwhelming.The Adlee has plenty of space for everyone to have their own area to swing, nap, just sit outdoors or even go fishing at the end of the very stable Dock made of a concrete like composite that doesn’t get hot. We even found swimming right off the seawall was very easy and not deep, with two stable plastic molded stairs. Bring your own jet ski and there’s a lift for that too. A wonderful grill we’ve used in past years for grilling steaks as we sat around the large fire pit and enjoyed a glass of wine. Overall, this has become our favorite autumn getaway for peace and quiet and playing games on the large table in the glass in sunroom.

Winter getaway

What an excellent location for a relaxing and scenic getaway. The cottage was well equipped and beautifully furnished. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The cottage was right on the river so the view from the sunroom and deck were outstanding. Would highly recommend this vacation to friends and family.

Gem on the river

Our stay was magnificent. The property was very well appointed and cozy. All of the amenities were brand new and you simply cannot beat the dock and river in the backyard. This is a perfect option for those looking to have a vacation while still social distancing. Overalll we will definitely consider staying here again.

ECU Graduation Stay

Our family enjoyed our visit to the Pamlico River while attending ECU graduation activities. There was plenty of room for 9 adults to spread out. The house was incredibly clean too. If any questions come up the owner was quick to respond and hospitable. I would absolutely recommend considering friends and family to stay at this beautiful house on the water.

Beautiful property

The property was beautiful. Very clean and organized. Everything you need for a really nice fun vacation. I wouldn't recommend for children 2 - 6 year's old lots of breakable things for smaller children but great for older kids. Had one issue with the smoke alarm. Overall highly recommend.

Luxurious Accommodations

The home is beautiful and so comfortable. Every little detail for your stay has been provided even down to a little bucket with sticks for s'mores. The kitchen had everything you needed to create a simple dinner to a gourmet feast, all you needed was the food. The views from the inside or from deck was beautiful. We all slept so well on those mattresses. Nikki our contact was wonderful she responded so quickly to any questions we had. My 24 year old son said Mom can we come back next year. We are booked for next year. Thank you Nikki for all you do.

Lovely home decorated beautifully!

We had a great time in Bath. The home was beautiful. We fished off the dock and we were able to catch a lot of fish. The water can get choppy at times, so I don’t recommend keeping your boat tied to the dock. There is a local boat ramp very close. Washington is just a short drive with amazing shops and great restaurants! Very relaxing getaway!

Perfect House

Adlee Cottage was very clean and in perfect condition. One of the most well decorated places we have stayed. Loved the view and the nice deck most of all. We had a wonderful time at the house and quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend Adlee to anyone who wants a special vacation.

Perfect Getaway

The house is so pretty and well appointed. It has everything we needed and we couldn’t have been more comfortable. It is so much more spacious than the photos make it appear and the sun porch is the perfect spot to enjoy the water. It is rural and the town of Bath doesn’t offer a lot as far as dining, but Washington is a quick drive and offers great entertainment options. We plan on using this home every time we are in the area!
