Great place for first-time visitor

My wife and young child found this to be a perfect stay for our first visit to Montreal. Early check-in for nominal fee was appreciated and gaining entry was a breeze. The apartment fit our needs well. The living room provided sufficient space to relax with an equipped kitchen area. And while the bedrooms were small, the bedding was comfortable. The closet space was ample. I was also pleased with the staff on hand in the reception area. We had a chirping smoke detector in need of new batteries and a staff member arrived within minutes to fix the problem. The front desk also provided advice about the area. Speaking of the area, Sonder is near the heart of Old Montreal – perfect for newcomers. There are several cafes, family-friendly restaurants, and pubs nearby. I particularly recommend going around the corner to Micro Espresso for a maple latte and croissant to start your day. You can walk to the nearest Metro station in 15 minutes and the rail station is a quick Uber away. We weren’t disturbed by noise inside the building but, if we were, a white noise machine and ear plugs were on hand. Be sure to check out the view from the rooftop deck.

Nice property. Did not like how it’s managed.

Property was nice and clean. Good location in Old Montreal. Parking is the usual challenge in Old Montreal. Two bedroom unit could use a couple armchairs to be a true 4 person 2 bedroom property. One bath towel per person is not acceptable for a Friday to Sunday stay. I guess only one shower is permitted per stay. The booking process was tedious and annoying to the point where facial recognition was required to book the unit even though everything was paid up front. The part that annoyed us was the constant reminder of check out time throughout the stay. In the evening before checkout, we needed to declare at what time we were checking out even though they repeatedly told us check out was at 11:00AM. At 10:40AM, we got an email reminding us checkout was 11:00AM. At 10:45AM, house keepers were outside the door waiting. Not impressed. We are adults and we don’t need to be reminded of checkout time. Of course we checked out on time as we always do but felt like we were treated like children. Very condescending.

Great stay in a nice location

Location was excellent, right in the middle of old Montréal. Easy walk to restaurants and other venues. Unit was minimalist but nicely appointed. The microwave blew a fuse when we tried to use it and the desk asked if we would like them to open a room for us to have access to one. Was not an issue for us but appreciated the offer. Also bathroom fan didn’t work but again not a game changer for us. It appeared to have been newly renovated and we may have been one of the first Fuest’s in that unit Person at the desk was most helpful with restaurant , pub recommendations and they didn’t disappoint. Would definitely stay again!!!
