This exceptional single-family home sits just five rows from the ocean in the prestigious Sea Pines community, offering an effortless two-minute walk to Hilton Head Island’s stunning beaches. Its unbeatable location makes it easy to return home for meals, quick breaks, or children’s naps—an ideal setup for families.

Designed for both comfort and entertainment, the open-concept living area features a well-appointed kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The formal dining room seats eight, while a nearby breakfast area accommodates six more. A decorative fireplace and wet bar divide the space into two inviting sitting areas, perfect for gathering with family and friends. A conveniently located laundry room and half bath add to the home’s seamless functionality.

The home offers four bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, plus an additional half bath. The master suite includes a king bed, private bath, and access to a peaceful deck, while a second king bedroom also offers an en-suite bath. Two additional bedrooms include twin beds and private bathrooms, with TVs and Roku devices available in every room. The Tommy Bahama–themed master suite features a new luxury mattress to ensure restful nights after sun-filled days.

Outdoor living shines with a spacious upper deck featuring ample seating, a six-person dining table, and a gas grill—perfect for enjoying evening barbecues. A private pool (approximately 25×14 feet) sits just steps from the beach path, making the walk to the sand quick and simple. Guests will also enjoy loungers, Adirondack chairs, additional seating, and a relaxing hammock.

To embrace Sea Pines’ active lifestyle, guests have access to four complimentary adult bicycles and four backpack beach chairs. Your stay includes one complimentary car pass to Sea Pines, with the option to add more in advance (up to three cars total).

Loved this property! Lovely house! 4 mins walk to the beach was amazing, as was the private pool! Two families with college age kids - plenty of room for everyone to hang out together or spread out!Location is one of the best of any beach house we've ever had and we plan to go back next year! Super clean and lots of extras!

The house is large with plenty of room for people to spread out. The beds were very comfortable. The pool is lovely and it is on a beach walk so walking to the beach is less than 4 minutes. Bikes and beach chairs are included. We were very comfortable for our stay and the host was very easy to communicate with and addressed any issues. A few things to note, there are stairs to get into the house and down to the pool. To be expected but can be challenging for older guests. Also, the kitchen appliances are mostly new, but some of the pans and things are dated. Not an issue for us as we ate most dinners out. But if you’re a big cooking family you may want to bring your favorite supplies.We would absolutely stay here again.

We loved this property! A literal 2 minute walk to the beach. Perfect size and layout for grandparents, parents, kids and a single uncle. Everyone had privacy and their own bathroom. Parking was a little tight for 3 cars but that’s typical in sea pines!Our daughter loved the responsibility of being the one to leave food for the hurricane kitty. (Not required just requested if you’re up for it) we saw her a few times and it made our kiddo’s whole week when she did! She’s a major animal lover and that was a soft spot. We rebooked for the same week next year bc it works so well! Check in and out was a total breeze. Location very convenient and price per value was as expected!

Honestly, this property is amazing. The location is fantastic and the fact that each bedroom has a bathroom is incredible. It’s perfect for sharing with many other people. We visited as a joint family, me, my husband, my baby, my parents, and my husband’s parents. The ample living space to spread out and watch the baby and the pool/outdoor areas were just perfect. I will also say that I used Baby Quip for a crib, playpen, high chair, and baby monitor, and that process was so smooth. My issue is with Island Rentals of Hilton Head. They required use of a different app to know anything about the property. I got sparse communication with them leading to me almost missing a payment deadline since I needed to do it off the VRBO app, which is pretty explicitly a no-no when it comes to VRBO. They were pretty unresponsive and unaccommodating in general. For example, they don’t turn on the pool heater if you don’t rent for a full week. If you have an 8 month old who loves the water, you may want to check in advance (or cough up 750 for them to make an exception). I also needed to call the emergency line to accommodate the late checkout that I had already paid for while my baby was sleeping. At 12:01 we were loading our car and told the cleaning crew to come in, and I got a surveillance call saying that I was still in the unit (I wasn’t). Just know what you’re getting into and think twice if you have any young children (although Baby Quip in HH seems to be GREAT!).

Prior to your arrival, we sent multiple communications containing payment instructions, property information, and access details. It is common practice for professional vacation rental management companies to utilize integrated software platforms for payments, communications, and guest services in conjunction with booking platforms such as VRBO. Regarding the pool heat, our policy and associated fees were communicated prior to your stay. When the issue was brought to our attention, we worked quickly to resolve it and provided a refund for the days the pool was unavailable for use. We also want to clarify that the late checkout request was not received until approximately 9:00 PM the evening before departure and had not been previously arranged or paid for. Our standard checkout time is 10:00 AM, and emergency contact lines are reserved for urgent property-related matters. Our housekeeping team arrived approximately two hours after the scheduled checkout time while the property was still occupied, and our team reached out to confirm the departure status so preparations for incoming guests could begin. We appreciate your feedback and are pleased that, overall, the home provided a memorable setting for your family vacation. The Perfect Place to Make Memories

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay at 6 Surf Scoter...the space and location, both to the beach and in Sea Pines was amazing. The kitchen was equipped well and we enjoyed having the bikes and beach chairs provided. The layout and space are ideal, and was great for our family of 6 including teenagers. The home itself was generally clean, however cobwebs and collected dust were visible in areas, and a general refresh would put this rental over the top.
