North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.

Step into a sun-filled Mid-City home where cooler autumn evenings are made for gathering outside, and every room is laid out for easy, comfortable living. Whether your trip centers on a parade route, a game day, or simply reconnecting with the people you traveled with, this house gives you room to spread out and settle in.

Living space
The open living area centers on a 70-inch HDTV with Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Chromecast, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, and Netflix, so movie nights and sports replays are easy to arrange. A dedicated workspace in the common area and fast wifi mean you can stay connected if you need to check in on work, and central air conditioning and heating keep the house comfortable regardless of what the New Orleans weather is doing. A theme room adds a distinctive touch among the home's living spaces.

Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms each hold a king bed, giving every guest or couple a private, restful space. Room-darkening blinds help with sleeping in after a late night out, and bed linen, towels, and other essentials are provided throughout. Clothing storage is generous, with a walk-in wardrobe, an additional wardrobe, and a chest of drawers spread across the bedrooms. Two full bathrooms plus a half bath - including a bath and a separate shower - give the household plenty of room to get ready without bottlenecks, stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, and a hairdryer.

Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is set up for real cooking, with a Frigidaire stainless steel electric cooker, a Frigidaire stainless steel single oven, a Frigidaire refrigerator, a freezer, a dishwasher, and a microwave. Cooking basics, crockery, and cutlery are stocked, along with baking sheets and barbecue utensils for anyone planning a backyard meal. Start the morning with the filter coffee maker or kettle, and gather around the dining table for meals together - wine glasses and a toaster round out the setup.

Outdoor living
As the weather cools, the fully fenced private back garden becomes one of the best reasons to stay here. Gather around the firepit, grill on the private gas BBQ, and settle into the outdoor furniture under the city skyline view. A private patio or balcony gives you another spot to enjoy the air outside.

Family-friendly features
Traveling with a little one is easier here - a travel cot and a folding high chair with padding, straps, and a food tray are available upon request, and the hosts can provide babysitter recommendations. A free washer and dryer are in-unit, so laundry never has to wait.

Parking & arrival
Two free driveway parking spaces, free on-street parking, and a Level 2 EV charger are all on-site, and self check-in with a smart lock makes arrival simple at any hour. A private entrance keeps your stay separate from the street.

You're within walking distance of the Canal Streetcar line, the French Quarter, the Superdome, and Bourbon Street, with the Endymion parade route just steps away - a strong base for Mardi Gras, Essence Fest, concerts, and sporting events. A launderette and a Trader Joe's are both nearby for anything you need during your stay.
