Welcome to the Shake and Shore vacation home, where you will discover stunning views of both the mountain and ocean.

With sunlight illuminating through the 16 skylights, this home features an expansive 360-degree wrap-around deck where you can unwind and spend quality time with loved ones at this peaceful getaway spot.

Explore the beauty of Fanny Bay, where nature awaits just steps away along the scenic walking paths of the bird sanctuary or a 2-minute walk to the serene shores of the ocean.

Shake and Shore is a beautiful and spacious beach-style home perfect for families and groups. Featuring a wheelchair-accessible king bedroom suite, along with 1 queen bed, and 2 double beds, this home offers a total of 3 bedrooms plus an open loft, and 3 bathrooms.

The wheelchair-accessible bathroom is located on the ground floor, although access to the front door and main kitchen/living room requires the use of stairs.

Relax in the spacious open living area with vaulted ceilings and skylights, providing ample natural light and a welcoming ambiance.

Enjoy the expansive 360-degree wraparound deck equipped with comfortable patio furniture, a BBQ grill, and breathtaking views.

Just a 2-minute walk lies the expansive ocean, while Courtenay is a convenient 20-minute drive, and Qualicum just a 30-minute drive from the property.

Located just a 8-minute drive away from the cable ferry, providing easy access to Denman Island and onward to Hornby Island. 40-minute drive away from Mount Washington.

Stayed for the holidays to also visit some friends and family on the island. Location was amazing: quiet, private while also very easy to get to. House is properly stashed with cooking items, we were able to have a proper Christmas dinner and just brought our ingredients. The host, Brendan, was very responsive and check-in/out was easy. Definitely thinking of coming back in the new year when the weather gets warmer!

Great gathering space for family with lots of seating options, 2 bedroom suites, televisions in 3 of 4 bedrooms. Had everything that we needed for meals and serving a crowd. Easy water access, but is not actually on the water.

We had an excellent stay. Brendan was great to communicate with and his place was beautiful. It was a perfect house for a trip with a family of 8 including 3 generations.

Nice spot for a quiet stay

Spacious, well-appointed house in a nice quiet location. Good access to waterfront and walking trails, and to the highways for trips up- or down-Island. All the kitchen tools and dishes etc. for home-cooked meals if you like. Online photos are accurate.Lots of windows and it gets bright early, which can be a blessing or a curse - lighter sleepers may want to bring sleep masks.A good spot for a quiet family getaway.

Beautiful home and view

We had an amazing stay in Fanny Bay. This home was beautiful and well-stocked. Our host Brendan was attentive and responded immediately to any of our needs. We had a slight problem with the main floor toilet clogging and Brendan responded immediately with a solution. Although the house isn’t right on the water, the views are still beautiful. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Lovely house

The house is very attractive, well equipped and comfortable, easily spacious enough for the whole family. Its location is excellent, close enough to Mt Washington for the skiers, but with good walks and outings for those not so keen! We would stay there again and highly recommend it.

Quiet, spacious and refreshing getaway

The beauty of this place and the attention to detail with decor and cleaning makes one feel that the owner truly cares for their guests. The beds were really comfortable and there was so much space to spread out. We stayed with my parents, my in laws and our 4 children. With mountain and ocean views you cannot beat this place. Thank you so much for hosting us!

For the most part everything was fine. There are a few things that could be improved on. Some of the beds were not that comfortable. There were a few things that were broken and not working.

Great stay.. would return

low score on the Communication was completely out of the property managers hands and fully due to an app issue with VRBO. despite not being able to communicate we enjoyed the home, very comfortable and lots of space. Great views and very quiet.

Amazing place for the whole family!

The host was excellent at communicating with us and addressed any questions we had promptly. The place was perfect for our two families and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. Amazing location and very clean. Would highly recommend this property!
