Pleasant stay (but not perfect)
Greatly appointed cottage situated on beautiful grounds! We had a very nice experience until the last night when we were left without running water.
We contacted the host and were told that property manger will come in the morning to fix the problem. We left the cottage (checked out) around 10 and he still was not there.
We understand things can get broken (the pump), but instead of offering some sort of help/assistance, we were told to carry water from the lake to use for the toilets and to boil it to wash the dishes.
My husband carried water for the toilets in a container because we couldn't ind any buckets and hurt his back (he is still going to the chiropractor).
We used our own bottled water to clean dishes, because the host's suggestion was unsanitary, to say the least...
We paid for full service (including running water) and we did not get it for the full period of time.
And again, more importantly, there was no attempt to compensate for it, maybe have the property manager bring some jugs of water over, etc...
Also, be aware that there is no hot tub on the property, even though it is advertised in the posting.
Too bad that a vacation that started so well, ended up like this.
