The Little Blue Nest - ECO rated home

A small two bedroom home in the heart of Acton. Close to go train, 5 minute walk to downtown and a 10 minute drive from the Rockwood conservation area. You will be renting a full home which is attached to a semi detached 2nd unit. The home has one bathroom, kitchen, laundry room with breakfast nook and two small bedrooms. Features all new appliances, tv with disney & prime, games/ gaming console and more. Guests will have their own two entrances and a large driveway.

The space
This is a semi detached home with two units ( this rental being the main entrance and driveway). Currently noone is living in the other unit until the end of 2024.

There are two oddities we like to make all guests aware of before they book to ensure they are comfortable.

Firstly, there is a stairwell off of the larger bedroom that leads to the 2nd unit in the house. Both sides have locked doors and the stairwell has soundproofing sheets & supplies for our cleaners stored. it is an oddity that we like to point out.

Secondly, there is no thermostat in this rental as it is unfortunetely housed in the 2nd unit. We ask guests to tell us their preferred temperature and we will set it the morning of for them. We have a heater in the mudroom and a fan in the larger bedroom for your additional comfort. If you are staying for an extended amount of time we can support you in logging into our thermostat app to controll it on your own.

Other things to note
Please note that our cleaners do not wash dishes ( apologies for this). As a guest you are responsible for washing your own dishes ( dishwasher preferred) and putting them back where they initially were.

Please do not book with us if the dishes stipulation is an issue with you and you will provide a lower rating due to this. We like to be 100% upfront and transparent about our space ans this is unfortunately something we cannot controll. Thank you.

A lovely quiet house.

A very comfortable house with lots of space. The back patio was a welcome surprise to sit outside in the evening.

Great place, close to Angelstone

We stayed here while my daughter had a horse show. Location was great, so close to angelstone. So easy to communicate with the owner, she was great to deal with. I’ve already booked to stay again

Nice little get away

Overall we loved the home. Our hosts had thought of everything needed to be comfortable. Updated appliances and bathroom was modern. Nice quiet neighbourhood as well. We would stay again.

Felt like a home not a rental.

The house is cozy with blankets and soft rugs. They thought of everything you would need. The candles in the shower were a nice touch. This felt like a home, not a rental. Our family enjoyed returning to the house after a day of exploring nearby extractions.

More Than Expected

This stay was above and beyond. We travel monthly, and stay in all different types of properties. We booked this property with no reviews, and are so grateful we did. This home is in a nice, quiet little neighborhood. The location is very convenient; the drug store and town are less than a mile. Pleanty of towels, and great to have extra blankets just in case. Even thought the thermostat is in the other half of the house, we had NO problem between the fan provided and opening the windows. The driveway had lots of room, and the sitting area out back was very nice to unwind in the evening. Having the chargers by the bed, the washer/dryer combo, and the kitchen fully stocked were all a huge bonus as well. The hosts were great with communication, and everything was very clear. There is a handbook in the home that has EVERYTHING you might need. We are already discussing staying again next year.
