HOME TO KICKING HORSE MOUNTAIN RESORT & BOO (our Grizzly bear)!

Enjoy a BRIGHT & SPACIOUS WALKOUT BASEMENT only 5KMS SOUTH OF GOLDEN with a new luxury hot tub!

Emerge yourself in all that Golden has to offer YEAR ROUND. Epic scenery, breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains & some of the best mountain biking, skiing & snowmobiling trails. Just minutes to rafting & the Columbia River, Golden Skybridge & Zipline.

Drive & enjoy the beauty of 3 of Canada’s National Parks: Yoho, Banff & Glacier. Our house is situated on a corner lot in the quiet neighborhood of Habart with undeniable stunning views of the Rocky Mountains, Purcell Mountains and the Columbia River.

Enjoy a BBQ on the best of days, take a soak in a new luxury hot tub and also enjoy our fire pit as well that is fully operational when accessible as long as there isn't a fire ban.

We have lots of space in our car port if you choose to bring your bikes and take advantage of our many biking trails.

We also have space for a sled/quad/side by side trailer for those who want to cruise through our back 40! Please ask for more info on trails! It's soo much fun!

We are located 15 minutes away from a well-groomed 18-hole Golden Golf course which has a putting green and driving range available. We also have disc golf and mini golf for those who enjoy the other varieties of golf.

We are 25 minutes away from our popular Kicking Horse Mountain Resort where you will enjoy downhill skiing, Nordic skiing & snowshoeing in the winters as well as a large variety of hiking & biking trails within a short drive in the Summer. Come visit our local grizzly bear Boo too :)

This was the perfect place for my friends and I to stay outside of the national parks in a smaller town. The home was very clean and well organized. It had anything we could have thought of needing. The hosts were so kind and considerate. Great neighborhood. Hot tub was perfect after the long ski days. Close to Kicking Horse. Close to groceries and restaurants. We are a family of four and this was perfect for our trip to JFCs at Kicking Horse. Great kitchen for cooking meals. Everything nicely labeled. Such a great place! A great stay. The property was clean and very comfy. We enjoed the big screen tv. Lots to do in the area, namely the Golden Sky bridge, Emerald Lake, Tekakkaw Falls and Boo the Grizzley Bear on thr Kicking Hirse Mountain. Wayne and Tracey were very welcoming and made ys feel part if the neighbourhood.

Spacious Retreat

Our stay at the Cozy Country Mountain Nest was fantastic. Tracy and Wayne have created a space that is ideal for unwinding after a busy day in the Golden area. The bright and spacious suite was spotless and well organized. We loved how all the drawers were labelled so we didn’t have to search for items. The kitchen was well stocked and we didn’t miss a thing. We were in Golden during a very hot and dry spell but the Cozy Country Mountain Nest stayed cool and comfortable the whole time. We highly recommend staying here.

Our family had an amazing seven night stay at this property, using it as our home for the week to explore the six nearest national parks. The cleanliness and organization was superb, including thorough labeling so everything was easy to find. The hot tub was brand spanking new with a great view. Our boys loved the opportunity to chop wood for the fire pit as much as they loved the couches and TV. The beds were very comfy and we all slept very well! The kitchen had all the necessities including a helpful supply of spices, condiments, coffee/tea, and items like foil. BBQ tools of course including roasting forks perfect for fire pit s’mores. The laundry room was similarly well stocked although a drying rack would’ve been nice. House even had thoughtful items like toiletries, flossers, first aid kit, and a book/game library. (I totally loved the Doris Day bio!) The space was incredibly functional for our family including our pup, and made for a comfortable week feeling at home in Golden. Host was very responsive and helpful with trip planning. Our boys’ favorite day was spent at Golden Skybridge adventure park and beaching/paddling at Cedar Lake. Location is great! Just minutes from town, with two grocery stores and an organic co-op. It would have been helpful to have the full pet policy prior to booking.

A very quaint quite place to relax with a hot tub and a firepit and spectacular views of the snowy mountains every which way you look. We even saw a few parasailers in the distance. The house is set up will all amenities as if you are at home. It is a home away from home for sure. Tracy responded to us within 15 minutes which was great. PS; Bring a table if you wish to eat outside.

We love hosting and sharing stories on how this home was built and what you can enjoy in the Golden and surrounding area.

Habart is a quiet and family friendly neighborhood that is nested between the Rocky Mountains and the Purcell Mountains. You'll be in a small town but in close proximity to a large range of things to do. Hiking, rafting, sky diving, gliding, mountain biking, swimming and much more in the summer months. Skiing or snowboarding, exploring the back 40 on your snowmobile or snow shoeing, ice climbing and more in the winter months. At the end of the day, rest in a new luxury hot tub to finish the day off :)
