We provide a starter pack of essentials, including coffee, salt/pepper, sugar, soap, paper towels, toilet paper and other basic essentials to get you started. This covers most stays, but longer stays may require additional supplies, which will be the guest’s responsibility to restock.

✦SKI & BIKE STORAGE LOCKER✦
We provide a dedicated on-site safe and convenient ski/bike storage locker. Keep your equipment organized and ready for your next mountain outing in the underground parkade.

You have full and total access of the suite, as advertised, during your stay. Our home has a self check-in electronic lock with keyless entry, so should you arrive later in the evening, you have total flexibility to access the unit without worrying about keys during your stay.

We do not live on site, therefore, while we do our best to ensure we provide as much of the comforts of home as possible, we may not always know if something is missing or damaged. If you notice anything missing or in need of repair, please let us know so we can make things right.

Located walking distance from downtown Golden, this property puts you close to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, the Columbia River, and the charming local shops, cafes, and restaurants that give the town its unique character. In the winter, enjoy world-class skiing and snowboarding; in summer, explore hiking trails, mountain biking, rafting, and wildlife viewing.

With easy access to Trans-Canada Highway 1, Golden is a perfect base for exploring Banff, Yoho, and Glacier National Parks—all just a scenic drive away.

Golden is a small mountain town where having your own vehicle is highly recommended to fully enjoy the natural surroundings and nearby attractions. However, there are still options for those without a personal vehicle.

✦ WALKING/BIKING: Golden’s compact downtown is walkable, and there are scenic trails and riverside paths nearby. Perfect for walking or biking.

✦ TAXI SERVICE: While ride-sharing apps like Uber and Lyft are not available in Golden, Mount 7 Taxi is Golden's primary taxi service, operating 24/7. They offer local rides, private transfers, and shuttle services to nearby areas.

✦ RENTAL CAR: To explore beyond Golden—like Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Yoho National Park, or Glacier National Park—a rental car is ideal. While there are no car rental agencies in Golden, rentals can be arranged in nearby cities or at Calgary International Airport (3 hours away) for those seeking extended travel options.

✦ PERSONAL CAR: On-site parking is available, and driving in and around Golden is straightforward. Most attractions are within a short drive, and the Trans-Canada Highway makes day trips easy.

✦ SHUTTLES/BUS/TRAIN: Public transit is limited in Golden. The Mountain Man Mikes shuttle or Rider Express offers limited regional service. Check schedules in advance.

‣ During winter - The Golden Kicking Horse Connector Shuttle:
Provides regular service between downtown Golden and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. The shuttle operates throughout the day, with additional evening runs on weekends. Fares are affordable, and season passes are available.

‣ Airport Shuttle - Champagne Powder Shuttle:
For visitors arriving via Calgary International Airport (YYC), the Champagne Powder Shuttle offers direct transportation to Golden and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort during the winter season. This service includes luggage handling and a comfortable ride through the Rockies.

✦ Self check-in · Easily check yourself in with our electronic lock on the front door of the private entrance. Codes will be provided to you after you book with us.

✦HOST INITIATED VERIFICATION✦
We are an API-connected software host, which means that in accordance with Airbnb’s terms of service, we are permitted to implement “offline fees” to collect a security deposit outside of the Airbnb platform. All requirements are clearly communicated and handled securely through our trusted guest portal.

✦ We have a verification process in place for all reservations. A $500 security deposit will be collected prior to check-in. This deposit is simply a pre-authorization and will be automatically released after check-out (provided there are no damages, missing items, etc.). A signed short-term rental agreement along with a valid ID is also required prior to your stay.

✦EARLY CHECK-IN or LATE CHECK-OUT✦
We are strict on check-in and check-out times due to cleaning needs, but we allow a 1-hour flexibility with 24-hour notice. A $35 fee applies for early check-ins or late check-outs, subject to approval, as its not always possible. If the home is ready sooner, we'll notify you.

✦LOST OR FORGOTTEN ITEMS✦
Please be advised that we cannot assume responsibility for personal belongings left behind after your stay. We recommend thoroughly checking the property before departing. Items left behind will be stored for 14 days and then either donated or discarded. Coordinating pickup or delivery of forgotten items will incur a fee.

✦MAIL & PARCELS✦
We do not have access to a mailbox at this property. Please do not use our address for receiving mail. If you require postal service, please connect with a local post office to find out about renting a post office box. For bigger parcel deliveries, ensure door drop-off or depot pick-up. We are not responsible to retrieve mail or parcels on your behalf.

✦CANCELLATIONS✦
We follow our posted cancellation policy, please ensure that you read and understand this policy at the time of booking. If you wish to protect yourself from unexpected last minute cancellations, please consider purchasing your own travel insurance to obtain the level of protection you desire.

✦ Profiles with less than 4 stars cannot use instant booking, and such reservations may be cancelled if the reservation is confirmed through the system. New profiles without reviews will be manually reviewed and may require additional screening before confirmation.

✦ Any violation of the house rules could be grounds for immediate termination and removal from the property without a refund.

✦ Please remember that you're staying in our home, not a hotel. Please treat the place with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP if it is an urgent matter, but there is no on site staff 24/7.
