Great place to stay just outside of Bar Harbor. Peaceful but close to Acadia and all its wonders!

Great location, lots of space, clean kitchen and outdoor yard for a fire pit. If you're staying in Acadia with family this is a very good place to rent!

Very roomy, hidden back in the woods. Very close to all of the hikes in Acadia and also pretty close to Bar Harbor. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something spacious.

Traveling with family for Acadia getaway. Property was clean, as described and well appointed. Location was ideal for exploring both the park and Bar Harbor.

Nestled in the woods and still just 15 minutes from everything in Bar Harbor! Clean, well stocked, comfortable beds, and spacious. The perfect place to relax after a full day on the go in and around Acadia. Would stay again and will recommend to family and friends.

The house was in a great location for getting around to everything we wanted to see and do in Acadia. It was very clean and neat and had lots of basics needed for a stay. The owners were very responsive in communicating and answering any questions. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Located virtually inside Acadia. Very close to every activity and site you could want to see or do. Property and house were neat and clean.

Great location and place

Three bedrooms with one on the entry level if you want separation between two couples. Kitchen was well appointed with basics and so was the laundry area. Overall our stay was great and it's a great hopping off point to tour Acadia and MDI.

Nice home conducive to enjoying time with our adult children, very well stocked kitchen, eating nook that nestled into the woods (loved that!), easy access to the park and Bar Harbor. Quiet. Would stay here again!

Great home base

Our family had a wonderful time staying in this house. It gave us plenty of space and everything we needed. The owner stopped by with some thoughtful items for the house and was so kind. It was a lovely week of retreating from the world - thank you!

Active in Acadia

Property is situated just off the main road, but surprisingly quiet. Plenty of hot water. Easy access to national park and trail heads. Short drive into Bar Harbor for dining and shopping. Can walk to Otter Creek for coffee. Definitely the right location for this part of the tourist season.

Beautiful Bar Harbor

We actually did not stay in this one. We were upgraded to a downtown house. It was close to everything. The house was fantastic and so was Kyle. We had the best time.

Visit to Maine to explore Acadia and Bar Harbor

Great location to hiking and town The amount of space was just right for our family Kitchen was well stocked for our cooking needs Had a problem with the grill but was fixed by the homeowner. The owners were attentive to any questions we had about the area It was unusually warm in Maine, there were fans in all the rooms which was nice but loud. The house was also damp-maybe due to it being so warm and humid? Overall, we had a great trip

Enjoyed our visit

This was a great location for our family. Pros: Accessible to both the town and the entrances to the national park. Spacious house at the base of the mountain. Beds were comfy. Cons: The only shower/tub in the house is dated and could use replacing. The hot water unexpectedly went out our last night there. It was an inconvenience, but not the end of the world. From the property manager's standpoint, it's hard to predict something like that happening. Overall, we enjoyed the stay.

Lovely spot close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor

The house known as Fins and Feathers is in a lovely location, and is comfortable for small families. The lodging has comfortable beds, plenty of dishes and utensils to feed a group, and is managed by a responsive couple who are lovely to work with. They even let us back into the house one rainy evening after we locked ourselves out! There was room to spread out, and an upstairs bathroom with a shower/bath tub. toilet and sink, as well as a small half bath (sink and toilet) on the main level. Things to consider for improvement: a full roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, and a spare. as well as a full roll of paper towels when you arrive; sharper knives for cooking; copies of maps to nearby hiking trails. There is a lovely creek nearby that you can wade in or even take a dip in one of its pools. It is easy to reach when you know how to find it, and is just minutes away by foot. You are also close to town (short drive) and the entrances to the park. Really well located.

This was the perfect house for our visit to Acadia. Location can’t be beat - so close to town and the park. The house was spacious for our group of 8. Our kids especially loved the swimming hole nearby and the fire pit. Would come back again!

Spacious house and great location

The house was perfect for our family vacation. It was clean and spacious with everything we needed. The location was great. We were able to get to Bar Harbor and Acadia Park easily and quickly — which is great when you’re with one and three year olds! There is so much to do in this area. The kids had a blast, and we wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks for a great stay!
